I love CPY!! Not only is this CPY location closest to my house, but uses the least amount of credits in ClassPass vs other locations. They also do community classes, which are complementary and everyone is welcome to practice without being pressured to become a member or buy a punch pass. The studio is not too small, but also not crazy huge. It is definitely "just right." They have a variety of classes that will get you to your goals whether you need a non-heated class, sculpt class with weights, a heated fusion class, etc. I love taking class with Adam the most as I love his teaching style and his vibe, but all the teachers are awesome and will talk with you before or after class to connect with you. read more

Tight, Charming Space I came to CorePower Yoga for a special session - Yoga with Puppies and Wine. It was awesome!! Soul Dog Rescue and CorePower Yoga of Stapleton joined forces to raise some money for a very good cause - animals in need. Soul Dog Rescue provides medications, supplies, etc. to animals on Native American reservations. I believe we raised $760 for the evening. This was my very first experience with yoga. It was a non-heated beginner class. I enjoyed it! The space at CorePower Yoga is pretty small, but it is also extremely charming and warm. Yessssssss, this the place to get a good sweat on. I love the instructors and the peace of mind and body hot yoga provides.

Decided to give this place a try as it's close to home but sadly I will not be back. Corepower as a whole should probably do a better job of advertising that they are almost entirely a hot yoga studio (as in 95 degrees with added humidity). Even their non heated classes are very hot from retained heat. This was noted but I didn't picture starting in a 95 degree room. However, that's not why I won't be back. First of all their "yoga" is more yoga with fitness class. This is not the typical yoga studio with calming vibes and meditative movements, which is what I do yoga to get. Second, the studio is SMALL and they don't seem to cap attendance. In both classes I did, the room was packed with all mats inches from each other. I spent half the class moving around my mat to not hit my neighbor. Also, the classes have very little verbal cues on form so if you don't already know how to do proper yoga, you won't learn. I did a beginners level class that I found to not be appropriate for beginners. There also wasn't much creativity to the class and the flows were pretty basic and standard. Also, I question the cleanliness of the studio. They did not clean the studio itself between classes, so after a long sweaty class, the floor was not wiped down for us (gross). Also due to the heat and humidity, the entire place smells potently of sweat and feet. Overall, this place would be great if you want to do a high intensity class in high heat (like yoga sculpt) or you kind of like yoga but want to do yoga without all the meditative stuff. But if you're looking for that zen yoga studio, this is not it. read more

One thing I love about CorePower is their consistency across locations. Every studio I've been to has been clean, spacious, and has super friendly teachers. This Stapleton location is no different--I finally gave it a try last weekend and I'll definitely be back for more. I didn't realize that their 1.5 class had the heat/humidifiers on (this was totally my bad)--I probably wouldn't have signed up for a class like that on a 96 degree day. CorePower classes are certainly known for using heat and are hotter (in my opinion) than most other studios in the Denver area. Even though I was dripping sweat and sort of dying, I did feel like I could sink deeper into certain poses because my muscles were nice and warm. Maybe this is just me, but I sometimes wonder if the little story time right before class starts is a requirement for the teachers. It can occasionally feel a little cheesy or inauthentic, but I get where they're trying to go with it. The studio itself has a little storage area for shoes/keys/etc in the front and a locker room in the back. The teacher locked the front doors during class so, as there as no one else in the studio, which made me feel good about my phone and keys being safe and sound. The bathroom is clean and stocks mouthwash + feminine products--a nice touch. Overall, I really dig this place and can't wait to namaste my way over here again soon! read more

Welcome to disco yoga. Dark room, surround sound, laser light show and - you guessed it- a disco ball hanging from the ceiling. I took a Friday evening CP2 class, and maybe they're not all this "Studio 54" inspired. I personally prefer a little more yoga and a little less show-offyness. Just made up a new word, I think. This location is much newer and smaller than the others I've been to. Beautifully decorated. Definitely more bougie than hippie. I did enjoy the pace of the CP2 class but the heat was a little too high. It seemed hotter than 96 degrees. The intensity of the class on the other hand was closer to a level 1 than 2. I'd rather loose less electrolytes and use more muscle. The excessive sweating just gives a false sense that you worked harder than you actually did. This isn't detoxing, its simply dehydrating. The music was too loud and the flow pretty non-traditional; At times I had a hard time following because I simply couldn't hear the instructor. It also felt like a combination of yoga-inspired fitness and mat pilates. One could say that's the CorePower style, but I've taken classes at the Hampden and Colorado Blvd studios that were 100% yoga minus the ab crunches and leg raises. read more

I have been going to Core Power in Stapleton now for 2 months, and I have to say I love the welcoming staff and all of the instructors are great! I do think the yoga sculpt classes are super intense, so I would definitely start with the Corepower 1 if you are new to yoga. I find these classes are a very nice pace even for the experienced yogi. If you've been to one Corepower Yoga then you pretty much know how they operate. Yoga 1 is slightly warm with lots of instructions Yoga 1.5 is warmer with some instructions depending on the group Yoga 2 is down-right hot Yoga Sculpt makes me feel like dying and throwing up, all at the same time. It's intense. The instructors here are so, so friendly. I really like that. It's a smaller studio, with only one yoga room, but it's a big room that can accommodate a large group. If your schedule is flexible enough that you can go mid-day then the classes are pretty small, ranging from 4 - 8 from when I've been. All in all I'm a fan of CorePower and this is the closest one to me so it's the one I find myself at most frequently so I am definitely a fan of it. read more

If you're looking for a good workout, this is a great place to practice. The classes are heated and many of the instructors bring weights into the warrior poses. The music selection is wonderful too. Each song helped me flow from movement to movement, like a dance. I personally prefer a more spiritual, deeper practice though and these classes did not satisfy me in this way. There was no chanting or meditation and I found there to be no focus on the breath. There were very few suggestions on how to improve my posture as well (which I like in a class) and there weren't any adjustments made. The instructor remained up front the entire class and performed the poses with us, but never walked around to check on alignment (I even noticed the girl behind me was falling forward in crow and the instructor still didn't come over to help her out). She appeared to have hurt herself even and walked outside of the classroom shortly afterward. So if you're looking for a workout, then this is your place, but if you are desiring a spiritual practice, I would look elsewhere. read more

3. 5. There is no such thing as a long distance relationship with yoga studios. So, unfortunately, I had to have a little fling with Core Power while I was in Denver for a couple of weeks where I took about 5 classes. Really, the studio is big on the heated yoga. If you like Bikram, you might like this. But, the studio was really like a cross between a Bikram studio and a Crunch gym. Hot yoga, lululemon wares in the front of the story (nice!), and even a little scan card just like a gym and also a few seemingly pretentious clientèle. What I like: Increased heat with increased intensity. A departure from bikram, beginning classes (1 & 1.5) are heated to about 80 degrees. The temperature increases the more advanced your practice becomes. Makes sense to me. Weighted yoga classes. I took one class with weights. It was seriously intense. That was great. The staff. Really friendly. Locker room. Showers, lockers, bathrooms-- really quite great. What was not so great: Instruction. The sequencing was fine, but is not like a bikram class (in case your curious-- this matters little to me). Also, sometimes the instruction was vague (very vague) and there were few suggestions on how to improve your posture (which I really like in a class). Finally, no adjustments. Actually, I think I received one. They have videos online and I was tempted to try those out and heat up my hotel room and call it a day. The exception was the weighted yoga class that I took which I thought was an excellent class with great instruction. Overall, if I was in the area I would go again, but really by shear virtue of the fact there isn't an abundance of yoga studios in Stapleton and it was convenient and group classes motivate me. I also like hot yoga and CorePower probably offers a gentler learning curve for those who yearn for some heat in their practice. read more

All I can say is that I love this place and have become a total addict...and they support my habit!\ I had tried yoga several times in different studios in Colorado and California and just couldn't get into it. I tried the free week pass and experienced a yoga practice that was like none I'd ever experienced before. Honestly I like the fact that it's less focused on the spiritual or meditative side and it's more about getting what YOU want out of it. I've been a CorePower gal for ... 6 years? I don't even know how long. It was just getting started and they were just opening franchises all over. I haven't really had a bad experience at a CorePower location. My first experience was at the studio in Broomfield. I appreciate that they give a cool lemon/lavender towel at the end of your practice... I wish this was common across all the studios. Ok, now this location - I am so glad to have this studio in my neighborhood. I love all the teachers but I especially enjoy Chrissy's class. When I was transitioning between jobs, I found myself home at 2pm on a Monday and decided to go to a class. This is when I found Chrissy. I wish she taught more often. She really tailors the class to the people in the room (she will ask what we feel needs to be worked on) and her flows are pretty different in every class. This is a big thing for me. Back in the day, each CP teacher had their flow and changed it up every so often. Now, it feels like every teacher has the same flow and after going to a few classes, I can usually do it without the prompts. Not saying it's bad... the flows are really good and intense but sometimes I like to challenge my body and not know what is coming next. This studio is very clean and really gives you a real sense of peace when you are within the walls. I do wish they sold water bottles because sometimes I forget mine... but I get why they don't. :) It is a really great studio and I am so glad it is in Stapleton. read more

Having been to 4 Core Power Yoga Studios (Cherry Hills, Highlands, Stapleton, and South Boulder), the Cherry Hills Studio is by far my favorite. Spacious, clean, multiple practice rooms, and a great bathroom/shower facility. The others are not bad, just smaller and more crowded, some without showers. The teachers are friendly, interesting, and know the practice well. It is mostly "hot yoga" which can be a bit intense at first. I find it enjoyable and like the intensity of the classes. Various levels of classes are offered, depending on what you prefer. There is also a focus on core body strength (as the name would suggest). A parking lot out front offers ample parking, and there's also a clothing/equipment store at the front of the studio. Yes, it's a bit pricey. My only complaint, and this goes for all studios, is that people are allowed into classes up to 10-15 minutes late. I find this very disruptive for everyone else who managed to arrive on time. Otherwise, I'm a fan! read more

Great instructors and classes. Space is often tight. If you're a guy or a really strong women, you'll be frustrated that the weights stop at 10 pounds. I suggested they add a couple of sets above the 10 pound mark and got a very dismissive answer. This place is great! They have amazing teachers that put together really awesome flows. Each teacher has a unique style so you can find classes that fit your needs and level. I found that the instructors are really good at teaching good form and new poses. I definitely improved and was able to do things that I couldn't before. I just tried a C1.5 class at the Stapleton studio with Hannah. This class was just perfect. If you are anything like me, you find yourself struggling through a C2 class, or bored in a C1. The 1.5 option was a great mix of stretching and flowing. The flow series felt slower than C2, but not too slow. Just the right speed for me to keep up and focus on breathing. Hannah was lovely. She gave really great cues for correcting form that will stick with me through my practice. The heat was also just right for me. I wish more locations offered this amazing option for us "in-betweeners" In the meantime, I'll be back to Stapleton for another 1.5 class just as soon as I can. read more

I love this studio! The teachers are all great and I have sampled lots of level 1 and 2 classes, plus hot yoga, hot power fusion, restorative yoga, and yoga sculpt and there is something for everyone here. I love it so much I bought a month pass which I use almost everyday. It also smells a little better here/looks a little cleaner than the Grant St. studio and the one in South Boulder, both of which get a little, or a lot gnarly sometimes. The parking is a piece of cake here and the studio is just the right size. There is a mix of mom types, students, older people, men, etc in the classes which is nice too. They have lots of great yoga clothes but they are a bit pricey so I usually just stick to yoga. read more

It's not bikram. If that's what you're looking for, you'll be disappointed. If this were a restaurant, I'd call it yoga fusion. It's not for purists, but it is good for stretching between workouts at the gym. The classes have been pretty packed, which is not particularly relaxing to me. There really should be a sign-up process, and marks on the floor to line up mats against so that everyone has enough room and the mats are staggered. I get that they don't want to turn people away, but frankly, it seems like that's more of a financial decision, and if I'm paying $15 a class for pseudo hot yoga, I'd like to be able to do it without getting smacked by the person next to me. That said, the instructors are all very nice, and its down the street from my house, so I'll probably go until my package runs out, and then sporadically after that. read more

My flight was delayed so I searched to find this beautiful studio. The girl who answered the phone was so so sweet. I met the owner, Dakini and she taught the perfect class. I sweat, I laughed, and I felt completely at ease. The core was intense, but fun with the disco ball! Dakini gave me an adjustment in triangle pose that shifted so much. My entire world was my mat for just the hour. It was exactly what I needed. Thank you for letting me leave my luggage up front and welcoming me with open arms. Highly recommend this studio! I was in Denver on vacation and as a Black Tag member, I can visit any CorePower studio in the country, so I decided to take some yoga classes while I was in the area. This Stapleton location was the closest one for me to get to. This location is probably the smallest of all the ones I've been to - it only has one studio, vs. two like the others I've been to, so schedule-wise, they can only offer one class at a time. There's the typical retail space selling fancy yoga clothes and nice yoga mats. They also offer complimentary tea, which is a nice touch! As you walk to the locker rooms, you can smell incense, which is also quite nice. The womens locker room is a bit on the small side as well, or at least the way it's configured it gets super cramped right after class when there are tons of people trying to get their stuff and go. There are two showers stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, lockers (bring your own lock), lotion, and a hair dryer. The locker room was very clean. I took two classes - one with Leslie and one with Dakini. Both were great instructors and their classes were very challenging. If you forget, you can rent a mat for $2 and a towel for $1. I'm a huge fan of CorePower, but this particular studio is on the smaller size of this one and has less availability of classes. read more

I love CorePower but I especially love the instructors. They are all very friendly and motivating. They make me want to go to class. My favorite class is Yoga Sculpt. It is intense and kicks my butt. You can tell it's a franchise. Not on par with the other CorePower studios that I've been to across the country. What mostly turned me off was the rudeness of the staff at the front desk. I'm used to having CorePower staff members be friendly, warm, and welcoming. They acted as though I was a nuisance to the studio. Aside from that, the class was great. Instructor was excellent and it was a solid C2 flow. Locker rooms were nice and the space was clean over all. If the staff was friendlier I would come back. Unfortunately, I don't think I will as there are other studios around that are REAL core powers. read more

I have been doing yoga for about 6 years. It has only been in the last 8 months that I have started coming to core power. My co-worker got me to try it because t is close to work and has a convenient class schedule. I immediately noticed it's a less spiritual studio than others I have been to. It certainly serves it's purpose if you are working on strengthening and fitness. My favorite class is yoga sculpt. It's intense and has helped me with my endurance. The sculpt teachers at the Stapleton location are amazing! I do still go to my other yoga class to deepen my practice as Core Power does not offer a lot of corrections. However, if you are looking for a class to really kick your butt and have you looking and feeling great this is the place for you. I highly recommend it! read more

I love CorePower, but I had such an awful experience I have to share. I have been practicing Yoga for nearly a decade. My experience was so TERRIBLE, I will never go back again. I haven't been practicing yoga for a brief time because I had trauma on 2 of my vertebrae's. I have been immobile and bedridden, so I haven't been able to go. I am getting to the point where I want to slowly incorporate yoga back into my life. I went to my first Yoga Sculpt class, I knew I wouldn't do well, but I thought I would try. My injury has caused weight gain and pain, so I was already a little scared to go, but I went. In the middle of class, the instructor came up to me, and in front of the entire class, made fun of me for using the light weights, she goes on to say, "Are you sure those aren't too heavy for you, maybe you should use your water bottle instead," and then started laughing!! Are you kidding me? You are a yoga instructor and you are making fun of people. In front of the entire class for everyone to hear. I was mortified. It was so inappropriate and disgraceful. I rolled up my mat and walked out in tears. I was so embarrassed. Caitlin, you were my instructor, it took a lot of courage to get back out there, and how dare you ruin that for me. As a yoga instructor, you should know better and be embarrassed you would treat someone like that. I will never go back. Thank you for the terrible experience. I go the Core Power studio in Stapleton. I love yoga and try to go as often as possible (unfortunately depends on my travel schedule). But I love the instructors at this studio...they are always friendly, inviting, and helpful. If planning to take a C2 class in the morning or in the evening, I recommend going early to get a spot, as these classes get pretty full. read more

I have been trying this place out for the past 2.5 weeks or so, going 4-5 times a week. The yoga studio itself is clean and sufficient. It does feel a little small and crowded at times but that's to be expected between classes with people getting out and those waiting to get in. The locker rooms are a nice touch - bring your own locks to keep your valuables in a locker. I have left my stuff out in the open there and didn't get anything stolen...yet... knock on wood. The teachers lock the main door when class is in session and if noone else is around to watch the door, so there's your peace of mind. The classes I have been to are the one-hour heated C2 yogas. I went to one C1 session and found it to be not as challenging as I wanted, so I'll definitely be sticking with C2s. Most of the teachers have been fine - no particular stand outs at this time. The sessions will definitely give you a workout. I am usually drenched in sweat by the end of C2 classes but I must say that these are truly just a workout... I couldn't call them a real yoga practice. There's just something so superficial about the teachers saying the predictable stuff like "be in the moment", "shake your head", "clear your toughts"... The workout itself is conducted under a rapid fire of commands; down-dog, up-dog, cobra, chair pose, warrior 1, 2, 3, half-moon, sit-ups, lie down, the end! Like I said, it is a good workout, your heart rate will sore and you will sweat! A well thought-out, good-paced journey to your mind and body it is not! While I feel good about having had a good workout, I do miss the calm, peaceful, mental clarity and meditative state you get from a good yoga practice. read more

It pains me to see the amazing CorePower brand on the studio in Stapleton and is no surprise that the Stapleton location is a franchise because it sure doesn't have the same feel and customer service as the other corporate owned studios do. Please save yourself the time and go to one of the corporate owned CorePower studios (like the one on Grant) or to one of the other 100 awesome yoga studios/classes that Denver has to offer. read more

Best workout I've had ever! It's bikram on steroids! Staff was so friendly and inviting.

I have practiced at CorePower for ten years. Throughout those ten years, I have also done six to eight months stints at other yoga studios around Denver, and taken more than one class at least eight other studios over the years too--including many outdoor series/venues (my home base is the Grant CorePower studio. I also regularly practiced at Broadway, LoHi, Highlands, RiNo, and Colorado Blvd, as well as Cherry Hills just once or twice and maybe one or two other studios, three years on Fort Collins and some classes at a couple of Boulder studios.), and Core Power is where I always go back home to after departing for a bit. Much of that is the schedule, there is a class at all hours of the day, and the heat, I love the sweat and detox, but, honestly, it is the instructors too (the teaching style seems to be changing a bit now and I am less fond of it). I have found more instructors at CorePower overall who are spiritual than I did at the other studios. I didn't write this review to refute the other reviews about CorePower being a great place to get a workout (and not much else), but it really is more than that if you find the right instructor for you. I venture to say that many people who say that its' a great place to get a workout and not much else are looking for a workout so that's what they saw, and others who say it only went a few times to CorePower. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course, my ten years of experience there, and I felt it in the first week of classes I took oh so long ago, the spiritual connection is there if you are open to it. I never knew I was looking for spirituality until I took a class at CorePower and found it almost instantly. Bummer for those who didn't find it; I'm sure you know where to look. read more
