The taco should be supplemented with something else, or else order 3 of them- - I noticed some people rated Corelife poorly due to it not filling them up- But I didnt expect one taco to be a full course meal , so I wasn't dissapointed; It was utterly delicious! Came here for lunch twice in a wk when I was in town for work. Overall pretty favorable to the place. I like the fresh, healthy options available, whether it's protein types, fresh veggie options, sauces, etc. It's nice they have "cold" and hot plate options as well. Service was prompt and friendly around lunch both days. My only gripes are: 1) place wasn't that clean, tables were wiped for instance 2) serving sizes appear to vary very much so on who's filling your bowl 3) I asked and paid for extra meat and the given was pretty paltry I would go back though if in the area again. read more

My wife enjoyed CoreLife Eatery about a month ago and brought me in to check it out. I was initially very skeptical. But I had a really delicious steak, bacon, and blue with a side of mac and cheese. Nice build your own spot! It's like a Chipotle but with healthier options. There's a bit more variety in types of food too like with some Asian mix. They also have smoothies and set bowls and wraps if you don't want to make your own. The menu was confusing at first, but the staff members were very nice about it and answered all of our questions. We got a large tuna poke bowl, built our own bowl, and made our own box. The tuna bowl could have used more tuna because it was a large and it was more acidic than I liked. The avocado helped balance the spicy sauce. Make your own box was $15 and you pick a protein, two warm sides (pretty confused on what this was and there were no signs about what is a warm side), and a sauce. I don't think it was worth $15 though because it had much less toppings and only had a meat and two sides basically. Warm sides included Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, rosemary red potato's, and Mac and cheese. There was a list of sauces we could pick from which was nice. The build your own bowl is similar to chipotle except we are limited to 5 toppings but it's cheaper I think. Avocado is an extra fee also. The steak was medium rare which is what we wanted, but the staff also said they could cook our steak to well done if we wanted to. It's good to know that we have options and they can accommodate. Last night I had something else and was left with an upset stomach all night so before I left I needed to find something light and not super greasy which is almost impossible to find. I was so excited to find this place! Customizable healthy bowls with not an overwhelming amount of protein either. The balance in the bowls is the perfect amount. The pick up is pretty fast, I waited about 10 minutes for my order to be ready but I also picked it up around 1130. The only thing I didn't really enjoy with the naan and hummus that I ordered. Driving through on the way back from my parent's house, my wife was looking for something pretty healthy and we ended up finding this strictly through the Yelp app. And what an incredible surprise, especially in the area that it is located. I had never heard of Core Life previously, apparently they got their start just a bit away over the NY border near Binghamton. For those that understand this, it was like a Blaze Pizza meets Chipotle in terms of style, setup and decor. Soft wood grains all around and comfy seats in the dining room. Fast casual is the name of the game and fresh veggies is their specialty. As you're ordering, you notice the brightly colored spread of leafy greens behind the order-taker. We chose a broth bowl and salad bowl. The tofu/mushroom bowl was excellent if not a bit spicier than I had anticipated, loaded with cabbage and other fresh goodies. I never got to try my wife's avocado laden greens bowl but she loved it. We ended up trying at least three flavors of the unlimited "fresh" juices, honey ginger lemonade was our favorite. Their menu was a bit too expanse and confusing at first but I think after a visit or two you can get the hang of it. Got a Thai wrap Because I thought it would be easier to eat in the car. One bite and dressing all over my lap. Got a big bite of cabbage and more bites of cabbage. Parked the car and Opened it up and it was 95% filled with noodles and cabbage. There were sprinkles of chopped chicken (dice size) and flecks of green and red peppers. Definitely my favorite place to eat in the Wilkes-Barre area. Very affordable, healthy and delicious. They have a wide variety of salads, grain bowls, broth bowls, etc. You can pick from the menu or make a creation of your own. My absolute go-to is the Tuna Poke Fire bowl and a Cranberry Cayenne Lemonade or Honey Ginger Lemonade. The Thai Chicken & Rice Noodle bowl is good as well. So happy we came on in! The atmosphere is super bright, crisp and inviting. It was over whelming for like one single second then you see all the signs with how to order and trust me it's way easy! The men working behind the counter were so friendly and helpful. I've been craving Thai and jumped and got the tofu Thai bowl. It was pretty good, but I think I would have preferred the rice or grain bowls for lunch instead. The rice and beans looked soooo good. Obviously that doesn't pair well with the rest of the Thai meal, so I went for the Thai bowl. It was very good don't get me wrong! I am new to eating tofu and this was prepared very well. I do prefer it over the Tofu at Chipotle. My mom had a salad with steak, she said it was very delicious and the small size was a perfect portion. We shared the roasted root veggies which consisted of carrots, parsnips and onions. They were soft and still had a nice bite to them. They were seasoned very will and we're super delicious! To go along with our wonderful meals we had a variety of drinks to pick from. I chose the beet lemonade and my mom had the cranberry lemonade (I think). I was very excited when I saw this Core Life being built in Wilkes Barre. My friend and I came on the VIP night before the grand opening where everyone received their dinner for free. My friend and I weren't sure what we would be allowed to get (since it was free) but we could get anything we wanted. The staff was super friendly and very willing to help customers decide what they wanted/answer questions. The manager (I believe he was the manager) was also going around making sure all the customers were okay and was super friendly. My friend and I were there towards the end of the event and we got to see all the staff getting off their shift and got to eat dinner together with the manager. The manager praised his staff and acted as though they were all family sharing words of encouragement and I was happy to see how well the staff are treated. My friend and I both got the southwest chicken grain bowl. I was able to get extra avocado on mine. I was also able to try their chicken broth on the side and it was so good! It's not worth a decent review though. I ordered takeout. It was a build your own broth bowl. I added rice noodles, scallions, beets, ginger, walnuts, and vegetable broth. I took it back to my hotel room only to end up going across to Buffalo Wild Wings afterwards. Why? Because my food tasted like absolute nothingness. The only little flavor was the beets. I hold them to a slightly higher standard because I like their dishes so much, and this site did not disappoint. Talk about consistency, the only thing different here than the one I frequent in upstate NY is that they had a different brand of hot air hand dryer in the men's room. My first order with Core Life Eatery was with your Wilkes-Barre location through Door Dash. I ordered a bowl Wednesday August 25th 2021 which was delicious with cilantro and chickpeas, organic chicken and guacamole and feta etc. everything I like and everything that I should NOT be allergic to BUT your food must be VERY cross contaminated because I had a terrible allergic reaction. I almost went to the ER. My ear swelled up inside My throat swelled my breathing was impaired and that's after I took 2 Benadryl and used my inhaler three times I was close to using my EpiPen as well. You use walnuts and nuts and fruit in your food so you must cross contaminate terribly. I have had these food allergies all of my life and this was one of the worst reactions of my life. I eat at a variety of Restaurants and a reaction this severe has not happened. PLEASE BE MORE AWARE OF CROSS CONTAMINATION when prepping your food. Lack of knowledge? Unclean work environment? Or laziness?? Regardless my throat is all raw now and I could barely talk. And that was avoidable. Frustrating. Do better for the sake of your customer's health.
