Nice build your own spot! It's like a Chipotle but with healthier options. There's a bit more variety in types of food too like with some Asian mix. They also have smoothies and set bowls and wraps if you don't want to make your own. The menu was confusing at first, but the staff members were very nice about it and answered all of our questions. We got a large tuna poke bowl, built our own bowl, and made our own box. The tuna bowl could have used more tuna because it was a large and it was more acidic than I liked. The avocado helped balance the spicy sauce. Make your own box was $15 and you pick a protein, two warm sides (pretty confused on what this was and there were no signs about what is a warm side), and a sauce. I don't think it was worth $15 though because it had much less toppings and only had a meat and two sides basically. Warm sides included Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, rosemary red potato's, and Mac and cheese. There was a list of sauces we could pick from which was nice. The build your own bowl is similar to chipotle except we are limited to 5 toppings but it's cheaper I think. Avocado is an extra fee also. The steak was medium rare which is what we wanted, but the staff also said they could cook our steak to well done if we wanted to. It's good to know that we have options and they can accommodate. There's lots of parking (free, and the place is spacious with lots of tables and chairs.

I found this spot when I was in town for lunch. I ordered online and when I arrived I parked in the lot. I walked in and my food was ready. I ordered the Spicy Thai Chicken & Rice Noodles. When I ate it was just ok. I wasn't feeling the sauce too much though. All in all I had an ok experience.

We tried this place when they first opened a few years ago and didn't love it. Forward to yesterday and I tried them again. What I got was amazing. A build your own bowl with spinach, rice noodles, tofu, corn, black beans, pickled onion and a spicy carrot dressing. It was so fresh and full of flavor. When you eat here you won't feel gross or weighed down afterwards. You'll feel like you had a great, healthy meal. I can't wait to get something else from them in the near future. Don't worry if you're vegetarian or vegan because they have many options for you. If you do a large business order from their website you can add names to each item. So when you receive it every item is clearly labeled with the person's name. **Make sure to double check your order before leaving. When they first opened they forgot an item and yesteday they also forgot my side of sweet potatoes that were paid for**

Wilkes-Barre, are you feeling ok? This doesn't seem like you.....I thought only major chain fast food places sprung up in this area? Driving through on the way back from my parent's house, my wife was looking for something pretty healthy and we ended up finding this strictly through the Yelp app. And what an incredible surprise, especially in the area that it is located. I had never heard of Core Life previously, apparently they got their start just a bit away over the NY border near Binghamton. For those that understand this, it was like a Blaze Pizza meets Chipotle in terms of style, setup and decor. Soft wood grains all around and comfy seats in the dining room. Fast casual is the name of the game and fresh veggies is their specialty. As you're ordering, you notice the brightly colored spread of leafy greens behind the order-taker. We chose a broth bowl and salad bowl. The tofu/mushroom bowl was excellent if not a bit spicier than I had anticipated, loaded with cabbage and other fresh goodies. I never got to try my wife's avocado laden greens bowl but she loved it. We ended up trying at least three flavors of the unlimited "fresh" juices, honey ginger lemonade was our favorite. Their menu was a bit too expanse and confusing at first but I think after a visit or two you can get the hang of it. We plan on going back here again to sample more and can't wait for the first location to open in the Boston area (does anyone have $300k to lend me to franchise?).

Definitely my favorite place to eat in the Wilkes-Barre area. Very affordable, healthy and delicious. They have a wide variety of salads, grain bowls, broth bowls, etc. You can pick from the menu or make a creation of your own. My absolute go-to is the Tuna Poke Fire bowl and a Cranberry Cayenne Lemonade or Honey Ginger Lemonade. The Thai Chicken & Rice Noodle bowl is good as well. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is open and inviting. CoreLife is great place to stop and grab lunch, or bring your laptop and stay a while and work.

So happy we came on in! The atmosphere is super bright, crisp and inviting. It was over whelming for like one single second then you see all the signs with how to order and trust me it's way easy! The men working behind the counter were so friendly and helpful. I've been craving Thai and jumped and got the tofu Thai bowl. It was pretty good, but I think I would have preferred the rice or grain bowls for lunch instead. The rice and beans looked soooo good. Obviously that doesn't pair well with the rest of the Thai meal, so I went for the Thai bowl. It was very good don't get me wrong! I am new to eating tofu and this was prepared very well. I do prefer it over the Tofu at Chipotle. My mom had a salad with steak, she said it was very delicious and the small size was a perfect portion. We shared the roasted root veggies which consisted of carrots, parsnips and onions. They were soft and still had a nice bite to them. They were seasoned very will and we're super delicious! To go along with our wonderful meals we had a variety of drinks to pick from. I chose the beet lemonade and my mom had the cranberry lemonade (I think). I loved my beet lemonade, although I wish they showed the amount of added sugar to the drinks. That would be helpful... The woman working told us they're new and there is only a few open so far. She mentioned there's one in Pittsburgh, I cannot wait to try again when I go home!

This is both a market where you can purchase Middle Eastern products such as olive oil, snacks, numerous types of dates, yogurts, etc. However, they also cook some amazingly tasty dishes that you can take home with you or eat in the store. Keep in mind, they only have about four tables if you want to dine at the store. The two guys who run the place are as nice as you'll find anywhere and explained what was in several of the dishes. I had the Shakshuka and Chicken Shawarma. I was blown away by how good the Chicken Shawarma tasted. Definitely the best I've had in NEPA. The Shakshuka was fantastic and it came with an entire bag Taboon Bread that was nice and warm. I ended up taking most of the bread home and will eat it with dinner tonight. I intend to try everything on this menu eventually and the next dish is definitely going to be Kabsa. Oh, and the also make cheesesteaks which at first I thought was strange for a mid-east restaurant but so many people have told me that they are one of the best they've ever tasted.

This itself says so much about the restaurant. In fact, I tried mamoul for the very first time here and got instantly addicted. They're shortbread cookies (made with a special impression) filled with either dates or fig paste. Not overly sweet and made with the right consistency, I highly recommend them. Prices are fair and although they have a dine-in area, last I checked, they allow only takeout. Yes, it was that good. So, you can all call this a revisit. Now the 1st 3 minutes in the beginning I was at my polling place beforehand. OK so this evening I pulled into the parking lot across from the Exeter Turkey Hill where I saw he was open. If you never had food from this location, check him out, you can tell he is a very nice guy who has a passion for what he does, in our conversation I just had to ask him if he would ever sell hot dogs, he did not come out and say no but made a comment about putting his spin on a Greek style dog so I would like you all to ask him about it too and maybe it will become a reality. So today I ordered the classic Gyro and Fries, now as you all can see in the video, this Gyro was packed with the most tender lamb you could ever try, the lettuce and tomatoes completed this combination along with extra sauce, I can't spell it, so I'll just call it the Gyro sauce. The sauce has a unique taste that knocks you taste buds right out of the park. He also heats up on his flat top the bread, again the correct name is avoiding me right now. This alone could be a great hunger killer, but no, I went one step further by adding his fresh cut fries, yes, he cuts every order fresh, he also tops when they are down his seasonings which I forgot to ask what they were. Now everything came to $15.00, I feel for what you got and what you all see was worth every bite. Until next time, be blessed and stay safe. One of my friends who is in the restaurant industry told me she heard poor reviews, so, guess what, we went to try without those friends!! We went with a group and happened to go for their valentine day special. Most got their special of "surf and turf", which was a very small piece of fillet and 4 shrimp. First off, I will say, the food itself was very good. No one was a fan of how this dish was presented, all on one large dish to be split by the couple. Once split, it cooled off quickly and looked more like an appetizer or tapas (small plate). My biggest recommendation would be quantity. For example, the salads were very, very skimpy. The "sides" with the surf and turf special were also, very skimpy. Now, we have dined all over the globe in very high end restaurants and understand quantity does not equate to quality, BUT, in this instance, it seems Isabellas is trying to make or remake their name in the local restaurant scene. They are doing so much right, just increase the quantity of a few of the items. For example, the special surf and turf dinner for two, had there been an ever so increase in the potato au gratin side and the spinach (which, I would also say, needed a bit of help, not bad, but one more like Ruth Chris's renowned creamed spinach) would have been better. So, I don't think making those servings just a wee bit larger would increase the cost of goods significantly, but would certainly go a long way in making the average diner feel more satisfied.
