Lots of great healthy choices with tons of different salad bowls, specially bowls, tacos, soups! etc. They have a wide juice selection as well. If I was going to give it any knock whatsoever is their prices are a little high, but what healthy food place isn't. If I'm in the area, this is a pretty decent place to eat. It's always clean, it's a big, open space. And the selection for fresh food is quite good. I'm a vegetarian (if you have read any of my reviews) and it's great to know that I can get variety here. Also, they are super conscious of allergies. Last time I was in, I was told that if someone has an allergy, all of the employees change their gloves and the manager actually comes out to make the order. Talk about being thorough! I went to CoreLife with my S.O. for the first time today and I am so entirely disappointed. The employee that took our order was visibly annoyed/ agitated and rushed us through the whole process. We ordered two Southwest Chicken bowls and before we could even add a smoothie she was off down the line angrily tossing everything into the bowls. We opted for bleu cheese instead of ranch and she proceeded to drown the bowl with an excessive amount, so much that the rice was soupy and inedible, I could have bought a jar of Marie's from Tops and just eaten spoonfuls of that for cheaper. we ended up throwing it away, what an absolute waste of money. $55 for a for 3 salads, and the bowel was not filled with greens. Really there is no need for a dome lid since the fixings were below the line that they have on the inside of the bowl. Stopped in here as a healthier alternative to nearby Chipotle and Panera, and because I haven't sampled the chain before. Overall would say I might return once in awhile to have something different in the fast casual mix, but certainly wasn't thrilled. The layout of the place is great, with plenty of attractive and comfortable seating options for couples or larger groups. The queue area has large posters with pictures of the signature bowl options, which I found very helpful and well designed. The bowls all looked delicious and most have calorie counts in the 450-700 range, which is awesome compared to alternative fast casual places. The assembly line system in place is certainly not as well ironed out as other similar places. It's pretty unclear at what point you're supposed to be making what choices about add ins, especially if you're going for a make your own bowl option. They were also out of purple rice, the interesting bowl base option that we were more excited about; we were told it's a popular option that they're frequently out of because it takes so long to make. Staff were pretty harried and unfriendly - there was a significant amount of people in line to get through so I understand they mightve been trying for efficiency, but it always takes a minute for a first timer to figure out the options at one of these assembly line style places and the customer service left much to be desired. The bowls themselves were decent - I selected the tuna poke fire bowl, with quinoa instead of purple rice because they were out. The bowl was largely filled with quinoa once everything was mixed together. The flavors were alright, though very acidic. So off we went to CoreLife in search of a quick, satisfying, healthy meal. There's a choice for everyone here, not just salad enthusiasts -- they also serve broth bowls and grain bowls if that's more your style. The path to the counter is covered in pictures of your options and they look amazing. But the dishes that are served are lackluster in comparison. My mother described the avocados in her salad as "Guacamole ripe as opposed to Cobb salad ripe," so do with that what you will. On a less specific note, we all agreed that the toppings to greens ratio was off, even in my dad's meal after he paid extra for double toppings. My steak, bacon & bleu salad should have been good, but after my first few bites, I was left mainly with lettuce. Despite this, I will return to CoreLife. The staff are really friendly, there are tons of options, and the selection of lemonades is fire. Sometimes you just need something healthy.... and if you're me, you don't want to make it yourself. All that shopping and chopping and cleaning up. Yuck! Thank goodness for this place! Salad Bowls and Grain Bowls and Broth Bowls (oh my!). Everything seems super fresh.... and I love that the choices are totally customize-able. Don't like an ingredient or two.... simply swap them out for something else. That said, I chose the "Chicken Cobb Salad", but switched the hardboiled egg and bacon for broccoli and chick peas and bell peppers and tomatoes (meats, eggs, and cheeses each can be swapped for two veggies). And, I swapped the bleu cheese dressing for the cucumber basil dressing. It was super delicious and super healthy.... and I left super happy. read more

Tried this for the first time and wasn't sure what to get. There menu has lots of offerings and its broken down nicely. Along with a full menu you can also create your own meal. I got the spicy chicken warm rice bowl. It sounded like there was gonna be a lot of flavors all in one that i wasn't sure would go well together. I was pleasantly surprised that it did taste good. This location of CoreLife is fairly new and it looks it. The interior is fresh and clean. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I stopped by on a Tuesday during the standard lunch rush window. Due to this, I expected the wait to be longer than usual but the line moved quite quickly. I chose the Sriracha Ginger Roasted Tofu Grain Bowl (vegan) and it was ready in less than three minutes! I grabbed a Beet Lemonade and sat down at a secluded bar seat against the windows. Despite how busy they were, there was plenty of seating available and everything was tidy. Midway through my meal --which was delicious btw-- an employee came over to individually ask me and those around me how everything was. That's practically unheard of service at a "fast food" chain restaurant. When I got up to leave, I took my tray and dishes over to the recycling and trash counter. I LOVE that they separate the trash from recycling. I wish more places did this! There was an employee also waiting at the counter to clean up any messes. I've tried CoreLife when I worked in Illinois and it was good - here in Amherst, not the same. 1) ALL the employees were grumpy, not one was happy to wait on you. 2) my wife had a Caesar salad and they used a soup ladle to put on over a cup of dressing on her salad (my steak salad had a small ladle, good amount of dressing 3) once we had our salad, we literally could not find one clean table - there are probably 20 tables in the restaurant and ALL were dirty. No one was sitting in the restaurant - 20 empty tables and all dirty. We took our salads home and I ate mine (we ended up throwing my wife's salad out). Horrible experience. read more

She treated myself and my friend like we were "bothering her" When we were trying to place our order. And the guy cashing us out was slower than a sloth and seemed stoned out of his mind. I love it when they occasionally have the student 50% off deal or the spotlight meal 50% deal I was kind of expecting more of a curry flavor but it was very mild/subtle but I'm thinking it was supposed to be lile that because it's a noodle soup and not a curry. The name with "spicy" almost made me not try it because I think im pretty weak when it comes to eating spicy foods but it was not spicy at all when I had it. We stopped them during their soft opening and tried various salads one of our favorites was the Thai chicken salad which is changed to a Spicy Thai chicken we also tried the southwest chicken salad which was absolutely delicious. Based on them being knew you could tell the team was unsure about the ingredients in certain salads as our salads had extra ingredients or extra items placed in them. The management staff was very nice very attentive eager to teach the staff and the staff was eager to assist you it seemed they had too many people behind the counter so it cause things to get a bit confusing. Overall I still give my rating three stars with hopes of going back and visiting your establishment again I've attached some pictures below and I'm looking forward to continued success, as the Transit Road location is one of my favorite take out places. read more

I got the "Chicken tortilla broth bowl" or something like that. Spicy, with a kick. Somewhat thermally hot too. That's my kind of dish and I liked it. I regret not asking for more tortilla pieces as that would have added more crunch. The only two things I wish were different are the sizes of the water cups and less broth added to the bowls. CoreLife Eatery is nothing special, and you're definitely paying a lot more than if you just bought the ingredients yourself, but for me the convenience makes it worthwhile. I'm a rather picky eater when it comes to veggies, so I really like being able to make a custom order with as many ingredients as I want and none that I don't. There seemed to be plenty of seating available, but I will say that the staff seemed to be slightly overwhelmed and confused at times. Finally made it here for lunch! Nice big open dining room with lots of places to sit. I browsed the menu online and decided to go with the Southwestern grilled chicken salad. They recommend their lime, jalapeno cilantro dressing on it which I was hesitant at 1st because I am not a fan of cilantro. They offered me to taste it so I did. It was quite flavorful and honestly I couldn't taste the cilantro. They mix everything in a large bowl and then top it off with tortilla strips. $9 may be a little steep but I didn't think so. There's nothing artificial or processed at this place and I love it! I tried the Chicken Cobb salad with their cucumber basil dressing, and an apple cider green tea. I loved every bite and sip. The chicken had very good flavor, the dressing was refreshing, and the drink was super yummy too! They seem to have free-refills on the drinks, and they'll let you sample the drink and salad dressing options! Next time I come I will probably do the build-your-own-bowl, because they just had sooooooo many yummy topping options! They also have cheddar broccoli soup that looked pretty bomb too. I tried Core Life yesterday, and I am glad I did. My husband and I were out shopping and wanted a light lunch. This was a good alternative to fast food. Everything tasted fresh. I had tacos on naan. I chose pork and tuna. Their beverages are unique and worth mentioning..my husband had beet lemonade and I had cranberry cayenne lemonade. The only reason I give this four stars instead of five is that I thought the menu was a little complex seeing it for the first time standing in line. I've been here a few times and especially enjoy the Mediterranean bowl. Although the falafel is on the dry side, the overall salad is refreshing and the hummus is fantastic. I love CoreLife...normally. Went into this location and ordered the coconut curry chicken bowl and got a bad experience and dissatisfaction. First, they we're pretty busy when I went in, but the were low on a lot and no one seemed to be helping replenish...bowls, silverware, food. Some unused food looked crusty and gross behind the glass. I placed my order and went to collect my food. The broth looked wrong, like regular chicken broth. Clear. I asked if it was right for the coconut curry and the girl told me that "it was it was just made from scratch so it might look different" and maybe they made it a different way before....oooook. I sat down with my food and it tastes bland and so oily. It added no flavor and just made the rest of the ingredients taste badly. Chicken was great but the extra oil was gross. It was 100% regular broth and not the right one just "made differently". I've had this dish many times before. And if it is how they make it then they need to adjust because it was awful. Couldn't get anyone's attention to get it fixed and the other broth looked like they've been sitting all day so I just didn't eat it and left. Not to mention all the tables were a mess and the dishes seemed half washed. So disappointed this location fielded such a crappy experience at one of my favorite spots to eat usually. read more

I previously reviewed CoreLife eatery and gave them only 3 stars. I thought they were average at best. Usually (like most) I don't loke to admit I'm wrong but in this instance... I gladly admit my shortcoming. The dressings are delicious and handmade. I found the perfect salad/ancient grain bowl. It's the Spicy chicken and ancient grains, sub spicy steak and add cucumbers - everything else as listed. Now you have to like spicy because it's hot.... But yummy. I'm my first review the watery was still relatively new. They have since worked out the kinks. The staff is efficient and friendly. There is plenty of seating inside and a nice little patio.
