My wife and I ate lunch here around 1 pm on 12/8. Mall was very busy with Christmas shoppers but CoreLife Eatery was not crowded. lots of healthy choices with many options. Portions are ample and the prices are reasonable. BUT the place was not clean. We had to search for a table that wasn't littered in need of being cleaned. The juice dispensers were streaked and in need of wiping down, the men's bathroom was badly in need of cleaning, and finaly the area for returning trays, etc., was absolutely filthy. This was my first experience. When we arrived there were 5 staff standing around chatting with each other. We were not greeted with any kind of welcome and none of them offered to help with the ordering process. Then when we got to the cashier she had the absolute worse attitude of all, was rude and would not look is in the eye. When asked where the napkins were it was 'over there. This is a shame as the food was fresh and delicious. I asked if this was a chain and learned that it was. They need the founder to come down from New York and retrain the crew on duty on this Sunday. I would rather make my own salad than be treated this way with so much disregard, lack of any type of customer service and I am in customer service and culinary operations for my profession. We came here randomly trying to find some healthy food and boy was I disappointed. Me and my girlfriend got some salad bowls and a soup with 1 drink to share and was blown away that it was damn near 40 bucks. Reluctantly paid and went to sit down and was disgusted when I seen that it looked like all of the tables have never been wiped since opening (however long ago that was). Start eating and look to my left and the drink fountains are there and again DISGUSTED with the condition they are in. First of all only one machine was actually working properly the other 4 or so drinks weren't spinning and you could see all of this build up on the bottom. Then just like the tables it looked like the machine hasn't been wiped ever. Then while finishing I seen a special needs employee started working and what seemed like the staff literally left everything for this person to pick up like an entire days worth of trays and plates and silverware for her to get. Also they wiped the trays with a dry towel not even any sanitizer or anything. Seemed like the manager just kept teller her to do things while everyone else is just standing around. I've been working in the restaurant industry over 10 years and simply don't know how this place could still be open and get a passing food grade. I really hope they change everything and get some new people or I want this place shut down before someone gets seriously sick. I am baffled by this place. On their menu, it says "All Entrees Gluten Free." My group of 14 each ordered a meal and on every plate was a slice of bread-that IS NOT GLUTEN FREE! It does not make any common sense to sell gluten free meals with a slice of wheat bread! They said it's the only thing on their menu that's not gluten free. If it's not gluten free, just leave it off the plate. It's baffling! I am giving 3 stars because the food was ok and the service was really nice. Fix the bread thing please! read more

From the zesty and spicy Thai chicken and rice noodles to the fresh Mediterranean salad. The workers aren't to bad, and engage pretty well in conversation. An unplanned first time visit today turned out to be one of the best lunch dates I have ever had. My dude and I stopped in and at first we were a little overwhelmed by the choices on the menu, mostly because we wanted to order one of everything. The girl (totally missed her name but she had some really cool tattoos and long blonde hair) was super friendly and steered us to perfect decisions. A very different approach on a standard meal. We always enjoy our time here, and have been trying new things each time we come. I recommend the soups, especially their take on chicken noodle soup. Finally, fast food that doesn't kill! Healthy, super fresh and uber-customizable salad bowls, grain bowls, and Asian style rice noodle broth bowls. It's a Subway/Deli style long counter 'make your own and pay at the end' system, so definitely fast food. The amount of options are initially intimidating, but the staff are hella friendly, helpful and patient. It's so customizable that it would be hard and I would say idiotic to end up with something less than delicious. A wide selection of delicious fresh lemonades and iced teas. Spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Not cheap for fast food if you think in terms of 'dollars per calorie', since all bowls are specifically designed to be low calorie (less than 500) and will cost $8 to $12 plus tax. But the bowl price is fixed.. ie they will not nickel and dime you for almost anything you ask them to throw in your bowl. So if you have $10 to $15 to put into a healthy, fresh and eclectic eat, and are a fan of not poisoning your body (like almost any other fast food), this is exactly the place for you.
