On Friday night I discovered the Charlotte Athletic Club durning a google search. Unfortunately they did not have pricing information online however I was able to submit a request and Steve texted me 1st thing Saturday morning to book a tour the same day. The GYM is just amazing! It's clean, with a ton of equipment and space for a stress feee workout. The locker rooms are upgraded and include both a sauna, and a steam room! I am so glad that I made the pivot to this gym! The energy is amazing, the staff is friendly and there are a ton of classes and free perks included in the membership! 5 stars is not enough! I rank this gym a 10 !

I had a really frustrating experience with this gym. From the start, the staff put a lot of…read morepressure on me to sign up. I was clear that I didn't want to be locked into a contract, so they suggested a month-to-month option, but it ended up costing over $200 a month. They were also constantly trying to upsell me on add-ons like red light therapy, pushing yet another membership even after I had already signed up. It felt excessive and uncomfortable. When I later decided to cancel, I was told I needed to give a 30-day notice, which was never mentioned when I signed up. The way it was communicated felt dismissive, basically telling me I would definitely be charged for another month. It feels like they treat your card like it's theirs to charge whenever they want. The atmosphere also changed completely after I became a member. Before joining, they were attentive and friendly, but that disappeared once I signed up. It's easy to get in, but a nightmare to get out. The classes were unreliable as well. The instructor I signed up for missed a lot of sessions, sometimes resulting in weeks without classes. I was promised discounts for those missed sessions, but they never followed through. At one point, I went almost an entire month without the class because the trainer quit, yet I was still charged the full amount. On top of that, I was offered a $50 discount that never showed up. Instead, I was actually charged even more. When I asked about it, they said it was a billing mistake, but that doesn't change the fact that I was overcharged without my consent. The only good class was the heat/and tone and the trainer left. And you have to book a class to go and guess what if you can't go they charge you 20 dollars! EDIT: She will say she gave me a discount, after a month with no classes I never got it! Why do you think I'm upset? She also says there was not any classes only for thanksgiving? Ha what a joke, the trainer was gone for weeks after and there was not a sub once. AND this whole month, I have not been able book a class, because there are NONE. I feel bad for the people who bought a heat/tone package and never have a class to go to. This lady is lying through her teeth.

Although being a first timer, it didn't feel like I was a first timer due to the motivation from Jake and others in the class! Inside the gym, there is a seating area, a smoothie/drink bar, lockers, showers and other amenities that are available. Hustle House is located in Uptown, on South Blvd/Brooklyn Village. Parking is available on the street as well as in the garage. Can't wait to try another class!

I had a pretty great experience and saw results after going for four weeks. It has a nice atmosphere with an encouraging community. The trainers are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Every class is a little different and always challenging so expect to get your butt kicked. I actually looked forward to going to my workouts if that says anything. I definitely recommend doing their intro class if you're new to Crossfit/weightlifting movements. The coaches were very accommodating when I needed to modify exercises due to past injuries. Big shout out to Lillian, one of the coaches I worked with the most. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming since day one and answering all of my newbie questions! I'll definitely consider joining the gym full time. All in all a great experience.

I've seen plenty of trainers in my visits, but Moth is the constant. She has pushed me from day one and it's the kind of motivation you need to make it through a tough workout. Music playlist is always good and they have a variety of equipment in rotation - sleds, TRX, benches, bikes, medicine balls, skiErg and more. I stopped by recently because it was convenient and brought a guest with me. Before doing anything, I asked the woman at the front desk how the guest policy worked. She didn't really explain it and instead just asked for my guest's information. I assumed she was simply checking the system to see if my guest had visited before. I stepped away for a moment to check whether the court was crowded, and while doing that, something came up that required me to leave earlier than expected. When I came back to the desk, I told her never mind and that I needed to leave. She responded, "It's okay, I sent the receipt to your email." That caught me off guard. I assumed it was just confirmation of entering my guest's information, especially since I thought guests used to be free (which is why I asked about the policy beforehand). When I checked my email, I saw that I had been charged $20. The issue isn't the money, it's the lack of communication. Before charging someone, the process and cost should be clearly explained. I've never had issues at the other locations I visit, so this felt like a one off experience, but it's enough that I probably won't return to this location.

Enter Fitness Together. I appreciate the private workout stalls so much so no one can see each other and that I can workout truly in an individual setting. The coaches tailor each workout to my level keeping in mind any injuries (I have a weak psoas on one side) so they adapt the workout specifically for me. Everyone has been super friendly and the nutrition coaching even is adapting to my weird dietary stuff (I bet they hate working around GF, DF and low FODMAP). I really appreciate my time there and look forward to it every week which has decreased my stress level! The accountability is key to get me there- the online programs with Daily Burn and Peloton just don't cut it when I'm stressed and busy so I have to have it on the calendar so I don't flake on someone. :)
