I am absolutely baffled how this company can still have contracts while being so incredibly bad. I have roadside assistance through my insurance provider, and after getting a flat tire I was assigned Core Values as my provider for someone coming to me to put in my spare tire. My initial ETA was an hour from when I made the call. While I was a little miffed, I rationalized it by thinking it was likely an overestimate and that it was rush hour, so traffic delays may be factored in. One hour later, past the ETA, I called Core Values as I had not heard anything. The person who answered the phone told me the driver had been held up on a previous call, and would be there in about 30 minutes. Also that I should expect a phone call from the driver 10 minutes prior to their arrival. 40 minutes later... still nothing, so I call Core Values again. Once again, I was told the driver would be there 'within 30 minutes' but that they would check back in with the driver for confirmation. While I was on hold during this 'confirmation call' to the driver... they hung up on me! Ooookay. At this point I get my insurance contact on the phone. Core values told my insurance that the driver would be there in 20 minutes .... Long story short, I demanded a new provider from my insurance and got someone to me in 15 minutes from that assignment. When the new driver showed up, he could GUESS that I had been waiting on core values after only knowing I had been waiting 2+ hours. To top it all off, I got a text message from (presumably) the core values driver saying they were "15 minutes" away ... while I was standing there with the second company putting on my spare. And then one hour later... the same exact text. So 15 minutes seems to have an interesting definition to this company that defies the understanding of the rest of the population.... Core Values repeatedly lied to me about the ETA, hung up on me while I was trying to get information, and showed 0 empathy that I was waiting alone in a parking lot for 2+ hours for their no show employee. If you get assigned this company with your roadside assistance ... I'd say call back and request somebody else. Don't waste your time waiting for these scammers. read more

Looks like I'm not the first person to have this negative experience of having my insurance provider contact this company with awful results. Needed a jump start; work in a service industry where I get off late in the evening. You'd think that late in the evening; after midnight, no traffic (which in Portland is nearly never), the wait time wouldn't be too bad. Initially quoted one hour. Fine, understandable and average for this service. Hour goes by and I call the service directly. Woman om dispatch said she would contact the driver to get a more accurate ETA. 30 minutes go by and my automated insurance provider calls and states service should have arrived and would I like to rate my service Call dispatch again, she assures me he's on 217, 10-15 minutes away. Wait the 20 minutes. Call dispatch again and she finally connects me to the driver. He is not in fact en route, he is helping another vehicle and at least 20-25 minutes out (and the driver did sound sincerely like a nice an honest guy, but there seems to be zero communication and dispatch is full of shat). Luckily had a second vehicle to give me a ride home (a Prius, so can't jump and jump box was out of juice ), but hoping my car won't get towed because I was unable to get a simple jump.... I have roadside assistance through my auto insurance. At 12:30pm, I ran out of gas and was told Core Values was contracted to assist me within an hour. At 1:45, I called Core Values and was told they would be there within another half hour. At 2:30 I call Core Values and was told they would get to me in another 45 minutes. I asked if there were any options for me and the phone person applologized and said I could ask Geico for a different contractor. I took his advice and Geico contacted Ray's towing, giving a 45 minuted eta. They showed up in less than 30 minutes and had gas in my car, plus papers signed within 2 minutes. I was happy to tip the Ray's Towing driver $20. read more

I had the pleasure of getting to know Core VAlues Roadside Service through Statefarm's emergency roadside services. Unfortunately, the pleasure quickly turns into absolute pain when I found out how little respective and how little customer service means to this company. Through the dispatch service, Core Values would quote you 15 min time windows on arrival; I know because this happened to me twice in a row. Each time, the 15 min window would pass, and you would be given yet another 15 min window. For the first time, 45 min passed without any service; on the second time, I called Statefarm to reassign me to another company period as I refuse to work with Core Values. Apparently, there is some sort of dispatch monopoly (Agero) that continues to route Statefarm's roadside assistance to this company. But I have to warn you to stay away and ask for reassignment as this company is available simply because no other customers want to work with them. You can also lodge a complaint to Statefarm so that you can be avoided of assigned to this roadside assistance company if the occasion arises. read more

Before I get into the negative 99% of this review I want to give their driver Rick some credit. He seems to be the only honest person working for this company and the only one who knows what the hell customer service is. Thank you Rick (if you're reading this) for how polite and apologetic you were regarding the shortcomings of your office staff. Now onto just about every other aspect of this company. Not once will I ever use them again. I have gone through multiple companies for roadside assistance and towing in the past and this has been the worst 21 hour process of getting my truck to the shop I have dealt with in my life. I called my insurance (who I go through for roadside assistance) yesterday, July 11th at 5:35 pm saying that I would need my truck towed when I got home from work (at 7:30pm of the same day) due to it not running when I woke up for work yesterday. I explained to them that the time restraint was due to my friends shop closing at 8:30. My insurance called Core Values on my behalf to make the appointment 2 hours in advance of when I would need to be picked up. Core values told my insurance that the appointment was set and that they would be here at 7:30. By 7:37 they had not shown up yet. I understand that a 7 minutes late is an understandable amount of time to be late to something like this, but I had not even gotten a confirmation call or a text from my insurance stating that the truck had been dispatched. I called my insurance who connected me to core values. The woman on the other line stated that they were running a little late but would be there in 30 minutes or less. An hour later they had still not shown up so I called my insurance to cancel the call. Fast forward to today. I set up a tow again. No time constraints because it's my day off, I simply needed it towed. Request for assistance was officially accepted at 12:14 and core values said they would be there by 1:29pm. At 1:26 I get a call directly from core values, though they only let the phone ring once then hung up. I call them back. Younger woman on the phone this time and her tone sounded like she was pained to even touch a phone call. Never have I heard someone sound like they hated their job more than this girl. She transfers me to the older woman I was talking to the night before. This woman says that my tow will be later than expected but only 15-20 minutes. I say ok as the woman is talking over me then she hangs up. 1:44 I call my insurance again. I tell them this is the second time this has happened to me where they keep postponing my appointment. My insurance calls core values with me on the line. Lady from core values says the driver will be there in 12 minutes. Once she is off the line I express my concerns with my insurance. My insurance rep says to call them back if they do not arrive again within the stated time. 40 MINUTES LATER I still had not seen a truck. I call my insurance and tell them to cancel the call and just send a different company. As I am on the phone the driver finally arrives. I have a text message stating they would be here at 1:29. The copy of the tow bill says an arrival time of 2:00. They actually showed up at 2:30. They not once told me an hour late. I informed my insurance of the 2 separate instances and they said they put in the complaint and would not be using Core values any longer. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

At 55 minutes, Core Values called me and very rudely told me it would be another 45 minutes. Then after waiting 2 hours and 5 minutes, Core Values canceled and Honda had to reassign another company. I tried calling and the number just disconnects you over and over again. The Pemco person tried and had the same experience. What an utter scam. First update was stuck in traffic. 2nd update was at 6pm stating five minutes away and that they "just turned off of highway 61" which I can walk to in under 15 minutes. 6:20 I get an update again of being five minutes out. My story matches the rest of the Yelpers. Metromile sent the request to Core Values (what a *T*E*R*R*I*B*L*E* name for a company--what are their core values...failure, deceit, sowing anger and hopelessness?) to switch out a flat tire and possibly tow to the tire shop. Core Values was supposed to show within 75-105 mins. 120 minutes later, I called Core Values and was hung up on seven times in a row immediately after they answered each call. Realized I was calling from the number associated with the service request, so I called from my work number and magically got through. Their dispatcher said the employee would be there within 35 minutes. I told the dispatcher that I needed to leave for work in about 90 minutes and was assured the job would be done by then. 90 minutes passed and nobody showed. Took an Uber to work and got a call later in the day (over five hours after the person was supposed to show up) that Core Values had arrived to change out the tire. I told them I'd hidden a key for them to access the spare and was told that they would be unable to change the tire without me being physically present to stand and watch. Called back Metromile and asked that they send out a different roadside assistance company when I get home from work later that day. They put the request out there and guess who grabbed it--CORE VALUES. After a two-hour wait (well past the promised wait time), nobody showed up. Called Metromile and told them about the appalling "service" I received from Core Values and they sent out All Night Towing, who showed up in seven minutes and switched out the tire in less than that. The dispatcher from Metromile said that Core Values grabs up all available roadside assistance offers that Metromile puts out there, then makes people wait FOREVER for someone to show up. This keeps people waiting all day--sometimes multiple days--for poor service and steals business from other towing and roadside assistance companies in the area. If your insurance company assigns you Core Values and you value your time, honesty, and courteous care, call them back and demand someone else, and keep doing it until Core Values is no longer a "business" that we have to deal with. read more

After more than 3 hrs waiting time, a employee from core values called me to let me know that "they don't go there". Terrible service. They don't let you know when they are on the way, you have to call them. My husband had to wait over an hour in 34 degree weather to get his tire fixed with no communication as to there location or how long it would take. Terrible estimated response time as well. They tell you they will call if the person assisting wasn't there on time but my husband ended up calling after 10 minutes of no call. I do not recommend this service, call a tow truck or family instead. read more

Upon having an issue with another vehicle I specifically asked State Farm not to send this company due to my last experience being so horrible. State Farm sent them anyway. This company is by far the worst road side assistance company I have ever used. Their original ETA was 55-65 minutes. After an hour of waiting my app said that they were "arriving soon" after 15 minutes I called the customer service where some woman told me that it would be an additional 40 minutes from the time originally quoted. I had work meetings that I pushed back based on the original time quoted. Now I am ubering to said appointment and hoping that the damn truck will finally be there when my meeting is over so that I can make it on time to my next meeting. I will never use this company again and will meet my insurance company know to also never use then again. read more

Don't use- they accept jobs and contracts despite work load and availability of their drivers. I signed up for a roadside service plan similar to onstar, they outsourced a simple "I locked my keys inside my car" job. At 5:30pm told 45min, at 6pm told 10-20, then called. "He got stuck at a job he's 20 mins away" 20 mins go by, so I call again, is it normal to take 90 mins? Why take a job if you aren't ready to accept the work?" I contact MaxCare and they send my request to this company. They give me an eta of 90 mins, mind you I barley made it off to the side of the road. My car had power and then it completely turned off, I didn't have a chance to completely put down my windows so now I am stuck in a hot car on the side of the road. 90 mins comes and goes and no one has shows up. I call you guys and the line rings 3 times someone answers and hangs up right away this happened to me 4 TIMES!!! Finally after the 5th I got someone and after she took down my info she told me that this person was in route but was also helping someone else and it could take another hour..... I've already waiting an hour an half and you want me to wait for another hour after you send me an eta of 90 minutes?? If you need to help someone else along the way no problem but do not tell people you will be there at a certain time and not show up. You can probably call for a jump from Santa Claus in the North Pole and he'd probably get their faster than you guys. Please figure out a better way to do business or don't do it at all. read more

I called my Travelers Roadside assistance for a lock-out of my RUNNING car. At 208pm i received a text stating my driver would be there at 304pm. At 340 pm I called and was told he would be there in 20-30 minutes. At 450pm I called again and was told "he's been busy....so sorry...another 20-30 minutes". At 514pm i walk outside and wait...at 520 pm I called AGAIN and was told "our driver called and you didn't answer your phone so he left". #1 - MY PHONE WAS LICKED INSIDE MY RUNNING CAR. #2 - The address the car was located at is ALSO the address for my insurance billing information. BOTH he would have had access to. WHY DIDN'T HE KNOCK ON MY DOOR??!! #3 - CLEARLY he wasn't "there" because I walked out 1 minute before his first missed call (on my NEIGHBOR'S phone) and didn't see a tow truck ANYWHERE....so at 520pm I am now back on the phone with their dispatcher for the FOURTH time this afternoon asking, 'WHERE IS MY DRIVER?" and told her to place me on hold and call the driver and tell him to come back. She did. Then comes back on the line and tells me "he is 20-30 minutes out" (SERIOUSLY?? HE SUPPOSEDLY JUST LEFT 4 MINUTES AGO. HOW CAN BE BE THAT FAR OUT IN JUST 4 SHORT MINUITES!!!!!????).....so I call Roadside assistance back. 13 minutes into THAT call I am placed on hold she so can call you guys and see if she can help. She comes back on the line, assures me she spoke to the Manager "Ava" and Ava assures her he is stuck in traffic on I-5 BUT will be here in (wanna guess how long????? ) "20-30 minutes"! ...at this point it's 545pm. This means I have been TRYING to get a Lock-out service for a RUNNING VEHICLE for 3.5 hours & SOMEHOW I am expected to believe he will ACTUALLY be there in 20-30 minutes? So I looked up their website and they have a statement on there that says, "If you're not 100% satisfied, before you leave a review, click "Make It Right" and that's what we'll do!" so I clicked, left a recap of my experience, and the result...??? Well, THAT WAS 9 DAYS AGO - NO ANSWER BACK FROM THEM. Go figure! I do customer service for a living & Have for OVER 30 years and if I EVER gave my customers the level of service I received from THEM I would be FIRED. This entire experience was UNACCEPTABLE. Customers should NEVER have to call you if you don't make YOUR WINDOW OF ARRIVAL, let alone 4 more times after that. And here's a thought. Verizon sent me updates saying ten min away and what not but 25 min would go by. I called the company directly twice and she'd give me a line and it's be BS. Then I gets text saying driver on site. Twenty min goes by while I scooter a two block radius. Nothing. I verified address and then I call the company directly and they just decline my calls several times in a row. I would probably rather get run over by a car than use this company again. My insurance has this company as one of the roadside assistant options. I needed a tow, they were the people supposed to tow my car. After about 5 hours of no update on my car, I called to see what was going on. They were rude and said there was a car accident so my tow truck went there instead. Like I don't want to be insensitive to the car accident but i needed my car to get towed since it was in a tow away zone. They said it'd be another 45 minutes and let me off the phone. 2 hours later with no update again, I called back and asked about my car and they said the tow truck driver broke down and now they were sending a different one out. They said another 45 minutes and I reluctantly believed them. About 2 more hours later I call again and ask about it, and also ask if they will reimburse me for the parking tickets/possible impound fee.
