This gym has not only done that, but also made workouts fun and engaging! The small group environment has made me enjoy and look forward to coming to my workout, even if the work outs are hard (in a good way)! it's so so rewarding to see progress. I have only done 2 workouts a week here, but even with that, I have seen and felt results. One of my biggest goals was to be able to do a chin up and I finally was able to accomplish it. I also feel so much stronger than before. I highly recommend this gym to anyone that needs that little push in the right direction. Also... the trainers and staff (Danny, Sam x2) are so friendly, engaging and just great people.

Is it possible to love a gym THIS much? When it's a place like Alio Fitness Club with trainers…read morelike Danny and Sam, abso-freaking-lutely. Let me explain why Alio is so different. At Gold's Gym, I meandered from machine to machine, half-heartedly gave the treadmill a go and looked over at the free weights section like it was the boss fight that I wasn't leveled up enough to attempt. I would lose a pound here and there but it was all just so.. boring. Alio doesn't do boring. Every day there's a new circuit that works a different set of muscles than the previous day. Add in the music and lighting and Alio makes Gold's look like the Wal-Mart of gyms. Danny and Sam are amazing trainers. Don't know what the heck a sumo squat pulse is? They're there to demonstrate and watch your form to prevent tweaks. Not sure what weight you should use for a single arm kettlebell swing? They're there to help you figure out what'll work for you. On the other end, if you're someone who loves a challenge, they are ready (and willing!) to make a circuit harder for you like adding in extra cardio and/or going up on the weights/reps. The best part of Alio Fitness Club? Results! I've personally witnessed many people get in shape here ranging from people whose goal was weight loss to others who put on serious muscle, it's always inspiring. As for myself, Alio has turned me into quite the flex-addict.. If you want gym results but dread the monotony of #gymlife, try out Alio Fitness Club!

The primary reason I stayed as long as I did was because the gym is usually quiet and uncrowded. Over time, however, I noticed increasing maintenance concerns, including equipment that remained out of service for extended periods, recurring air conditioning issues, and overall facility upkeep that seemed to receive less attention than it should. What ultimately prompted this review, however, was my experience with management. After 2.5 years as a paying member, I received a voicemail from the front desk staff informing me that my membership was being canceled because the facility was "not the best fit" for my needs and expectations. While I appreciate being notified of the decision, the explanation itself raised more questions than it answered. There had been no prior conversations with me about concerns, expectations, or issues that would have suggested my membership was at risk. Wanting to better understand the decision, I made multiple attempts to contact management, including phone calls and a direct message. None received a response. The issue was never the decision itself. The issue was the lack of transparency and communication surrounding that decision. After more than two years as a customer, I expected the courtesy of a conversation rather than a vague explanation and a one-sided notification. Customers should feel comfortable asking questions, raising concerns, and providing feedback about the services they pay for. Constructive feedback is how businesses improve. When concerns are met with silence rather than dialogue, it creates the impression that feedback is unwelcome rather than valued. No business is perfect. Equipment breaks. Air conditioners fail. Problems happen. What separates a good business from a poor one is how management communicates with customers and addresses concerns. In my experience, this gym fell short in both areas. In the end, PowerMaster Fitness felt less like a customer-focused gym and more like a private clubhouse that happens to sell memberships. If you're looking for a gym where communication, transparency, and customer feedback are valued, you may want to carefully consider your options before committing to a membership here.

During the sign up process, I noticed the gym was extremely hot, crowded, and smelled bad. I told them that I was not interested in a membership and they still enrolled me. Then, I asked for a refund and not only did they refuse, but they threatened to charge me $150 extra for a "cancellation fee." I had to change my account number, get a new debit card, AND dispute the transaction! They are fraudsters and engage in terrible business practices & treat potential clients horribly.

I've tried warehouse gyms, big box gyms, powerlifting gyms, bodybuilding gyms, you name it. This gym is great for a lot of reasons and could also be improved in a few ways. It's not my regular gym- I drop in a few times a year and pay for the week pass. I've never had an issue doing this or being charged extra from the week pass. Cons: locker rooms need better upkeep, STRONG turf smell, music too loud occasionally (like so loud I can't hear my own music in my earbuds), staff is hard to track down, some rude staff (literally just 1 girl but the rest of the staff has been nothing but super friendly and nice so I'm willing to write it off as a bad day for her). Pros: lighting is awesome, black walls and murals are awesome, they have posing rooms if you're into bodybuilding, TONS of free weights, powerlifting plates, cable towers, squat racks, benches, and varying machines. Extra equipment (like mats, med balls, kbs, etc.) are lacking, but they have enough to do what you need to do. Great gym if you're into powerlifting or bodybuilding especially. They have a supplement store and you can get snacks, shakes, drinks, etc. Prices are also really good; you could easily spend the same amount on a commercial gym that has 2 squat racks and 200 treadmills. The community there is SO nice as well. The biggest pro is that they're not insanely busy like most gyms I've gone to. I can always find a squat rack or cable tower and have never had to wait. In short, it's a gym worth trying. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, but it's definitely one of the better gyms I've been to and I'll be coming back every year when I'm in town. P.S. For what it's worth, I've tried most of the gyms in SA and I prefer M.O. by a mile.

The sessions were difficult since I hadn't worked out in a few years, but reinforced my thoughts that I needed to get back to the gym and I signed up for a year's worth of their small group training. I love the individual attention the small group classes allow and how they focus on different muscle groups each day. Every trainer I've worked with leading the classes has been excellent....encouraging and pushing me to increase my strength but modifying exercises when needed to avoid injury. I'm no athlete, yet Kenny manages to work with my limited capabilities to get me stronger and more flexible. After little more than 8 weeks (despite me ignoring diet or aerobic exercise discipline), I managed to lose over 4% body fat working out three times a week with Kenny! I also lost over 2 inches on my hips-- and I'm 57! Now I am encouraged to keep going, to lose the weight I've gained since menopause, and to keep getting stronger and get my full range of motion back. With Kenny's training and expertise I get to benefit from diet recommendations (gum had carbs, who knew?) and yes, even aerobic exercise. I'm going to try jump roping with one that has a counter in the handle. I'm looking forward to being leaner and fitter in 2019.

I love OTF Sonterra's trainers and friendly staff. (Coach Hector and Coach Logan are my favorites.)…read more OTF provides a one of a kind work out. Every class is different. As a long distance runner, I originally joined OTF for strength and speed training. The intervals, inclines, rowing, and weight training all helped me increase my fitness level immediately. After a few months I was comfortable to REALLY push myself during the "all outs," with a treadmill speed of 12 mph. The fastest speed on the treadmill! I learned to love long distance rows on the water rowers and functional exercises on the weight floor. I would never have tried these on my own without OTF's specialized fitness routines and the encouragement of the trainers. Scheduling is easy, but I do recommend signing up for a class you want sooner rather than later. The atmosphere and music are fun and keep you moving. I was a member of OTF for almost two years. I have only temporarily ended my membership, as I am nearing the end of my second trimester with my first child. I honestly could have kept my membership for a couple more months, but I'm just being cautious. So far this pregnancy has been easy and I feel like I have OTF to thank for keeping my body in great condition. I really do believe their workouts are for any fitness level. If you're debating on giving it a shot, they offer a free trail class. You can't go wrong with that and will likely been won over as I was when I tried it for the first time. See you again in 2019 OTF!

People cheer for you, celebrate your wins, and make the studio feel like home. I've made real friends here -- the kind you actually look forward to sweating with. If you're thinking about trying OTF, this is your sign. Walk in once and you'll get it. Best decision I've made for myself.
