Absolutely love all the instructors at Smart Barre. I've tried both their barre and Pilates classes. Both wonderful but I ultimately decided on Pilates Reformer classes for my fitness goals. The reformer classes are a full body workout. Movements are slow and controlled but boy do you work every muscle in your body. Plus, the resistance on the machine ensures you're working it all and then some. I feel more toned and definitely stronger since I started with them. Plus, these classes really increase your flexibility. Absolutely loving it! These classes are also great for people with joint issues because it's low impact. And again, I have to give some love to the instructors. Working out is hard. Getting motivated to work out is harder. But when you come in bright and early in the morning to friendly instructors and a friendly classmates, it makes you want to keep on coming in. The instructors here are helpful, give great guidance and genuinely want you to succeed. Couldn't ask for a better workout community. Check it out if you haven't. This was my first ever barre class and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would! First impression of the place was that it was very clean. Socks are required for hygiene reasons and grippy socks especially are preferred so you don't slip around. The instructor was super friendly and very encouraging! She explained things very clearly so it was easy to follow along. I didn't break a sweat at all, but my muscles were BURNING. It's only been about 12 hours after my class and I can already feel the soreness in my muscles, which means that it was definitely a good workout. read more

I was excited to give Pilates a try especially at this location, however when I stopped by to sign up the lady was very rude and seemed annoyed. She had told me they were closed, which I did NOT know hence there was no sign on the door nor was the door locked. I asked if she would like for me to come back but she said no and proceeded to tell me about the classes. I decided not to go, I just did not like the first interaction. Overall, for future interactions make sure y'all lock or have a sign so people don't interrupt and if they do, have a accepting or better attitude. read more

Smart Barre is a low impact workout with great results. It's great for toning and sculpting. If you are expecting a high-intensity workout this is not for you, although they do have a bounce class that gives you cardio it's not available every day. I love this place. Ive been going for a little over 2 weeks now and I love it. The instructors are very motivating and helpful. They help you quietly too if that's something you'd prefer. Now I've been looking for a long time for a workout that was well 2 hip reconstructive surgeries friendly. I broke my hip originally when I was 19 in Iraq. For months I searched. I finally read this history of Barre and decided I need to try this. Took me a month to finally do it because I'm extremely self conscious and ashamed a little of my lack of muscle and mobility. For 2 years and 7 months I couldn't walk. After my 2nd hip surgery I was told I was good. So I've been trying to get the courage up to do this. And I'm glad I finally did. They're great. I'm sore every time I leave but it's a great sore because I'm regaining all my mobility and strength again. Hoping to start being a normal 24 year old! After attending classes 3x per week for 1 month I have noticed improved flexibility as well as toning of my calves and abs. My arms are starting to get there as well but they are always take longer to get into shape. The classes are definitely challenging but I have noticed progress in my abilities each time I return. They do a great job of focusing on a full body stretch and strengthen with extra attention on those hard to slim areas on a woman's figure. The instructors are not afraid to correct your form. Great instructors! Totally worth the time and money. They use up every minute of their class working and stretching all the areas women really want to focus on. The instructors know your name and are great at keeping you motivated without pushing you too hard. Don't be intimidated no one cares what you look like and the classes are all females which is nice. the best full body workout in the most positive environment. other barre studios will give you a good workout, but smart barre empowers you as you build strength. not only am i in great shape from the classes, but i always felt relaxed & at peace by the end of the class. the layout of the classes are perfect, and the instructors are super attentive and really care about you. i recently moved & have begun going to a different studio & i am so sad because nothing beats smart barre! highly recommend. read more

My friend referred me to Smart Barre, and I have to admit, I had my reservations about it. How are 2 pound weights going to do anything? I needed faster results than that. I was so wrong! I attended my first class a couple of weeks ago and quickly started to understand why this is an amazing workout. The isometric holds, the repetitive "pulsing", and the diversity of instructors keeps this class challenging and interesting. Right after my first class I decided to do the Unlimited option, and I've been attending 5x week. I absolutely love it. The instructors are so friendly and helpful, and throughout each move they are reminding the whole class about what your form should look like. By that time, if you don't adjust yourself, you may have the instructor adjust you slightly to make sure you're doing it right (which is very helpful). I am recommending Smart Barre to anyone who will listen! :) read more
