The reason that it is packed is because it's the best gym in the area. The most I've ever had to wait for a machine is maybe 10 minutes. I will pay those 10 minutes to be able to go to this facility. The front desk personnel are fantastic. When they welcome you in, it isn't like some gyms where the comment is an afterthought, they really hope you have a good workout. Even though it is a new gym, they do a good job of keeping everything in good shape. The trainers are the best! They have a good variety of personalities so you should be able to find someone who can help you reach your goals. I've worked out with three and seen other trainers working with clients. I haven't taken any classes yet, but friends have said that the classes are really enjoyable. I have done a HIIT workout challenge, which was really needed to help me get out of a rut. I told the woman I was just grabbing keys real quick and she informed me that I was not allowed on the premises without a membership. Well I have a golds gym membership so I scanned my card and she said yeah you still don't have access to this gym. Well good thing I wasn't trying to work out!! I just wanted keys from my husband. And I was very clearly not in workout clothes. Also me and my husband have the same golds gym account so I'm not to sure why he was "allowed" in but I was not. It's a gym for crying out loud. I'm pretty certain that's how they get you though. I opened up my account on November 19, 2014 at their 25 NE Loop 410 & McCullough location and my membership ID is 0258-502785. Well every now and then when I have the mental bandwidth I have tried to get this resolved especially now that I live in New Orleans. I've called the locations in New Orleans, simply get the runaround because I didn't open it up in town. I've called San Antonio locations and they've instructed me to go to the original location. Ummm how is that even possible when it's literally closed down. Don't even get me started everytime I try to call Planet Fitness so called cUsToMeR sErViCe 1-844 number. It's literally non-existent and a free elevator music playlist. I normally shrug off every time I see that $10 charge monthly because I've somewhat mentally accepted the lifetime woes that Planet Fitness is. After logging into my bank account though and seeing their annual $30ish charge, this has now reminded me how much of a money sucker this is. I'm really hoping I get contact from their team and this is forever removed and I'm no longer charged nor losing $150 bucks every year. But I'm over it and they really need to get it together.
