I've been looking for a second place in Sausalito for some time now, not one to live in full time just something smaller to hang out in and rent now and then on Air BnB. It's not easy finding houses in this town due to the limited number of them. And nobody of course really believes any of it will ever be "affordable". Not unless you can, like, afford it in the first place. So what I want, in the unlikely event there's anybody out there reading this and looking to sell yours, is a place in Hurricane Gulch which has the best weather in the world, if you like bright sunlight filtered through thin wispy remains of fog dissipating in a cool breeze a few thousand feet above your head, all this in the middle of what anywhere else in this state would be an otherwise swelteringly hot day in August.
So far I'm still looking but my partner in this caper is what this review is really about, not that the rest of Corcoran Global Living in their office in Greenbrae isn't equally good, but fact is I don't know any of those folks. Instead the agent I'm working with, who will I'm sure find me the right deal someday, is Yasmine McGrane.
I've bought and sold several houses and lofts in the course of things, both sides of the country. Real estate agents, like any other, vary in how effective they are at working in behalf of their customer's needs. They're all very friendly of course, and eager... boy are they eager. But once things settle down and the first time out doesn't strike pay dirt they logically move on. I can say that Yasmine has worked really hard at looking for new options, presenting my offers, trying to discern finer points in a transaction that might turn it my way. She is also a really first rate individual and I highly recommend her in case you want to live in this funny little town. But don't call her until I get what I'm looking for, okay? read more
