Updated review for brunch: My friend and I had brunch today and it was really nice! We each got an order of the Horacio- roast butternut squash, wild mushrooms, huitlacoche, crispy chestnuts, queso fresco (v, n) 8.00 and OC tacos- carrot & fennel puree, shaved coconut, chipotle oil (v) 6.50; as well as a glass of the Verdejo Bernado Farina, Toro. Both were fantastic although I'm particular to the Horacio because the squash is whipped fluffy and the portion is quite large per taco. Though somewhat pricey for tacos, the portion is hefty. The tortillas themselves are a bit light for my taste- they fall apart too easily so the dish is messy to eat by hands, the way tacos should be eaten- but still taste fresh and have a rich corn base like they should. The wine was a decent pour as well and very dry as I had requested. Service was not obtrusive and sitting in the sunshine outside, I was quite pleased with it. Once again, Corazon makes me happy!!! Older dinner review: My husband and I first stopped by here for drinks and dinner last Friday night. We sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks which were served by a pleasant and conversational bartender named Terri. The margaritas I had were strong and quite tasty though went too quick for £8+ a pop! We then ordered the ceviche which was served quickly, as tiny, round plantain crisps with a small bowl of diced ceviche. Quite tasty and interesting presentation as I have never seen chips or ceviche so tiny! But it was very cute. Then I got the veg Horacio tacos with butternut squash and my husband got the Carnitas. I was really torn on whether to get the Horacio, veg or Guv'nor option with prawns but was glad I chose Horacio as the squash was roasted just right and the crema and toppings on it added the right creaminess and spice. I scarfed the two tacos down and only wish I had originally upgraded the order to three as I was still a wee bit hungry after. My husband enjoyed his lamb tacos as well. Service was friendly and efficient, both rarities in London! The only catch, hence my dinking a star, is the front window was open for the pleasant early evening, and that would have been fine except for the two smokers outside. So the smell drifted over to where we were sitting by the bar. We complained and told the manager but she said she couldn't do anything so we just moved a bit further inside the bar. But really disappointing the restaurant values smokers more than nonsmokers. I ate here again Monday night with a friend and then had the Guv'nor tacos and camote as a side. Oh man the tacos are DELICIOUS and loaded with prawns and tiny shrimp. The crema and cheese atop just complement the soft tortilla perfectly. With the camotes, the portion was perfect. However, the camotes were only OK; they were a bit dry and not as tasty as the tacos so I asked for extra crema which the friendly server quickly brought over. For dessert my friend and I shared the fruit salad which comes with a lovely sorbet sprinkled with a tad of spice. A great palate pleaser. I can't wait to come back for brunch!

I never thought I'd say this, but London has some dang good Mexican food. Corazon is an intimate restaurant in the heart of SOHO. They serve up classic street tacos with a twist. Each and every ingredient was well thought out and added to the flavor explosion in each bite. This was one of my favorite places we dined in the city. We arrived 15 minutes after our reservation, because our bus was stuck in traffic. We called and they said they'd hold the kitchen open for us - how awesome is that?! We had the steak tacos and carnitas. Each taco order comes with two, hearty tacos. I recommend sharing a few different orders since each entree is unique. My favorite was the steak with a blue corn tortilla. I'm still dreaming of it back in Texas! The servers mimicked the slightly awkward upsell that a lot of restaurants did, but maybe it's an England thing. It wasn't too bothersome, but noteworthy. Definitely check this out if you're a local who's somehow skipped over this joint, or from a border state like me and missed a little bit of home. It's a 5-star experience.

    Chilaquiles with steak

My friends and I had brunch here a couple weeks back, and I was very impressed! I had the chilaquiles with hanger steak. It was really tasty; perfectly seasoned and spiced. The portion was generous too, so come hungry. I wasn't a fan of the horchata iced coffee. I was really looking forward to this, but I felt like the concept was better than the execution. My friends got the tacos, which all looked delicious, so next time I'll probably get the tacos. The service was also good. Servers were friendly and attentive. We came here mid-day on a Sunday, and it was busy but not full. After we paid the bill we sat at the table and chatted well beyond what was probably a socially acceptable amount of time, but the staff were really lovely and didn't try to force us out. Next time you're shopping on Oxford Street, I would definitely check out Corazon!

A-plus margaritas, very good tacos. Try the pulled pork tacos. Mexican dinner inspired. Didn't miss lack of nachos, everything else was so good Spoiler alert: free tattoo a t the end

    Delicious chilaquiles!

We went for breakfast to the corazon and we loved it! It's authentic mexican food and a great choice. The menu has a wide variety of "real" mexican dishes. We had chilaquiles and huevos rancheros as well as some tacos. It's high quality food with great flavours. The only thing we were missing was some homemade salsas to add. The drinks we had were delicious (horchata and horchata with coffee). We highly recommend this restaurant and definitely will return when we are back in London!

I was greeted once off the lift and offered to wait at the bar while they finished preparing the table. I tend to arrive early and I was early. I ordered a drink from their nice selection of tequila and before my drink was ready the table was ready. They sat me at the table and brought my drink to me. We had a table along the window and were able to watch sunset while we celebrated my friend. I feel like we ordered most of the menu to share amongst the table. Our server was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the menu and offered some great suggestions for the table. I'm pretty sure we ordered almost the entire menu. Food quality was fantastic. The vibe, service, and food quality really made for a wonderful celebration. Make a reservation and add this to your itinerary if visiting London and if you are a local give it a try.

We shared a big plate of taco ingredients and tortillas. It was all very good and the good news is that with the variety there was something everyone liked. The space was chill and upscale while also feeling trendy. The drinks were also nice, mostly margaritas. In the end, nothing really stood out enough for me to remember or come back for if I wasn't in the area, but it would probably make my easy list of places that won't disappoint near the office.

Unfortunately, Mestizo charges per person and the minimum and maximum is two for this item So I couldn't order for one without paying forty dollars , and I'd be damned to pay that much. Having this rule is ridiculous. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant forcing you to order something that can easily be portioned to one. I ordered a marinated chicken with rice and beans. The beans were out of this world. Such a unique flavor I definitely was not accustomed to in the states. The rice was unfortunately bland. The chicken was marinated in this red sauce and was tasty for the most part. However , when I made my way to the center it became dry and had a weird taste. If you're gonna order this dish, proceed with caution. The dessert really outshined and redeemed my visit somewhat. I ordered the tres leches cake. This dessert is basically like a Mexican version of sticky toffee pudding. There are many overlapping factors. One key difference is tres leches uses a milk and cinnamon base , so it kind of tastes like a horchata cake.

WHAAAAAATTT?!?!?!? The spot is pretty small and intimate with smooth music playing for you to snap your fingers to while chatting all night long. They were pretty busy so they offered us a seat at the bar where Simon, the bartender, greeted us warmly. We perused the menu with big eyes and salivating mouths. We started off with drinks - I got a pink drink that was similar to a jalepeno margarita but better - looks like pepto bismol but was SO good, friend got agua refresca which also had a hint of spice - SO GOOD. Now, let's get to the food! First round we ordered chips & guacamole, pork belly chicharron and the tuna sashimi tostadas - absolutely divine. The pork belly was perfection, crispy outside and soft inside and the tuna was amazingly soft! Next round was 'Nduja esquites (fried corn) and the pumpkin & cauliflower barbacoa - meals like this make me realize I truly could be a vegetarian. The plating of the food was absolutely beautiful and we loved watching the head chef Raul and his sous chefs work. He is so serious about his craft - focused, determined and the food is served with bravado and love. Next time over the pond, I definitely plan to pop in here again! Second was the fish taco. Lightly battered with a stunning mayo and lovely pickled cabbage to balance the flavours. The best of the lot (and it was a tough choice) was the pigs head quesadilla. The meat was on top rather than inside which threw me to begin with, but once I got stuck in I didn't care. My god. The actual quesadilla itself was UNBELIEVABLE. Cheesy, soft in the middle with a crispy edge, just delicious. And the pork and pickled cabbage combo on top was out of this world. I could have eaten 3 quite easily. My mezcal negroni was lush. Not discernibly different from a normal, well made negroni (a good thing) and I enjoyed it a lot. Service was excellent and friendly and dishes came out when ready. Place itself was very buzzy and cool, great atmosphere. Quality lunch at a quality restaurant.
