I had lunch today at Cora's ... I've never been to one before but had heard the food at them is good. It's not your typical menu with burgers or hot dogs ... they have them are but they are on crepes rather than buns. The focus is on omelettes, fresh fruit, waffles, crepes, eggs, French toast, etc. I ordered a waffle with fresh strawberries. I'd never had one before and it was delicious. The waffle was warm ... soft on the inside with a bit of crunch on the outside. So decadent for lunch! It was huge and I managed to eat it all. I was really disappointed with the service yesterday. The restaurant was not busy and we had to wait. Wait to be seated, wait to get a drink, wait to get served, wait for our meal, wait for our check, wait to pay. The waitress, Monica, was grumpy, the coffee was cold, the food was cold. Cora's manages to provide a good breakfast at everyone of their locations. As franchises go, it's one of the best. My only quibble is you can't get the little sausages with mustard in Ontario. Yum. But each time I go I manage to find something different to try. Their crepes, their sandwiches, their omlettes, their pancakes, it's all delicious. It isn't cheap; you'll probably break $10 on breakfast for one, but it's worth it. You don't lose by going to Cora's. They've built their reputation on consistency and quality. I just try not to think of the carbon footprint of all that fruit on my plate in January. read more

I'm torn between three and four stars. It's not that Cora's doesn't have good food, or good service, because they most certainly do. But for me it's about finding a balance between fabulous food and service versus the price, menu and atmosphere. I find that the place over priced and the wait times sometimes silly. I find I can get the same quality of food for the same price or lower at Symposium Cafe instead. And their fresh squeezed orange juice is much better! But lot's of people enjoy going to Cora's, and I don't mind going, I just think it's over-rated and there are other, if not better if even by a slight margin, options out there. read more

Start your day the right way. Cora piles on the fruit and the breakfast sandwich options are good for someone on the go. We ate at this place nearly every day during a stay near Toronto for a work exhibition - it is affordable, the service is fast, and the food is high quality...what else do you need??? I'm embarrassed for the waiter that I had to ask him so many times to get all the things I requested (ex. coffee refill). On top of that, he never refilled our water or asked us how our meal was, which should have then corrected my order but if I bothered, that would've been another 3 requests until he'd get it right. I'm very disappointed! This morning we decided to go to Cora's in Milton for Sunday breakfast and this will probably be the last time we go there. We came in and were seated right away. The restaurant wasn't busy but there were already people enjoying their meals. We sat for 15 mins, no one came to ask if we wanted coffee or if were ready to order. Finally I caught the attention of a waitress and she took our order. The food was good. It took forever to get the bill. Our one year old was going crazy as patience is not his greatest asset. Finally my husband got up to pay. One of the other waitresses was complaining to another how one of her customers was being a B&@ch. other tables around us were getting frustrated at the lack of service. I'm not a big breakfast person so when my friend suggested we go here to eat I was a little hesitant to go. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was! I ordered a Belgium waffle with custard and it also came piled with fruit and whip cream on top! Best waffle I've ever had hands down! Our waitress was so nice. Didn't check in too often but was always near by if we needed anything. 5 stars in my opinion! Give it a try even if you're not a breakfast person, it will change your life! read more

Had breakfast there today and I hate to say it but our waitress was brutal. Food itself was great but for the price I expect decent service. She got our order wrong, didn't apologize, said "she had a lot on her mind", slammed our food down when it came, when she brought the bill she said "here" and walked away. Then she charged us for the incorrect items that she brought out that we didn't order. Horrible service. Sorry we "forgot" to tip you. Next time try putting a smile on your face. read more

this is my second visit and will be my last at this location. this restaurant does not accommodate the customer orders fairly, from the menu I ordered the 3 egg benedict with brie ($16) and asked i f one of the benedict be with ham and other 2 with brie. Their answer was no its against policy. I can order the TWO eggs benedict with brie for $13 and have ONE egg benedict with ham on the side for $10. $10 for an eglish muffin with egg, slice of ham and suace? thank you cora for the unfair customer service. I've been going to this location for the last four years, for all occasions, that will not be happening ever again. There is nothing that annoys me more than waiting to be seated while looking at open tables. Two other couples in front of us were also waiting to be seated. I could see at least 4 tables that were bussed and waiting to be seated. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated. Unfortunately all of our meals must have been sitting on the shelf waiting for delivery because it was barely warm. You might think that they were busy, but they weren't. I was here, about 2 weeks ago and I forgot to review them! I had breakfast here alone, and I got seated within a minute. The customer service is a mix and match because I had different servers coming to serve my single self!!! Lol! The restaurant wasn't Packed, it only had a few people in there. Anyways, here is what I got: Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict Banana Strawberry Shake (I wanted the Kale and banana shake, but apparently they 'Ran out of Kale')... and I got 3 sausages on the side, which I knew I shouldn't have at this franchise! Usually when I get sausages at Cora's it's indercooked and always Luke warm, which is gross... I should have told them WELL DONE but it slipped my mind. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was okay but since I love Eggs Benedict my hopes were high here, I usually order other things from here. The smoked salmon didn't look entirely fresh and that's a Huge Nono for me. The fruits were piled high all over my plate and Cora's is known for 'Plating'... so I don't know what was going on there. I don't think I recommend this place.. the lady waitresses were arguing with each other and putting each other down.. it was awkward and entertaining at the same time but me as an old fashioned young lady, I find it sad. Meh... Not My business. Cora's is going down hill in my opinion, I'm general but there are Better locations in the downtown Toronto area. Oh yeah and my shake was OK. We used to love going to this Cora's location. I'm not sure what has changed but we received the worst service recently. We asked for a kids menu item and it came with scrambled egg. The amount of egg we received was about the size of a toonie. It was noticeably less than anything we've ever been served. The waitress insisted it was one egg and brought the owner over who also insisted it was a regular portion. We pointed out that it was much less than we have ever received. This situation could have been quietly handled by putting an adequate amount of food on the plate for the price we are paying. Instead both the owner and waitress talked down to us and they've lost our business. Too bad because it used to be a good spot to eat. Our waitress was real shitty too, she was really rude. My stomach is killing me and I feel like gagging. Although the quality of food was not bad, the price was high but more importantly the service was not up to standard. We were promised a table 10-15 min, we had to wait 35 min at which point we had to complain. Then the manager shows up and we get a table right away. The manager was not genuine and seemed not interested to hear what we had to say. There were several empty tables, I don't understand why we had wait that long. Then the food took another 20 min or so. I should mention the waitress did every thing in her power to compensate but it is the system that has to become efficient or they will lose customers like us despite the quality of food. read more

Well I'm still here waiting for my food after 40 mins at 1:20 pm on a Saturday with about only 30% of the restaurant filled. Our waitress hasn't come by in over a half hour. I'm sure the food will be fine as usual, but the service has earned this experience 2 stars. read more

I am a huge fan of Cora's in general and I think the Milton location is one of the better ones. Menu is never cheap but they have excellent variety of food to choose from. Never had bad service at this location, which is located close to both downtown and highway. read more
