He was clear and concise with the payments that I would be looking at but when my credit score was run I was pleasantly surprised that the payments were lower than originally anticipated!! Got my yearly service. It was the 2nd oil change with "full service". There was a young guy at the desk when i picked up my car. I asked what was done. He said the "2 year service". I also asked about the tire rotation.... He fumbled, checked the screen and said, "Uh, yeah". I got to my Jeep, and the rear tire still had the "new tire nubs" on it. That tire had NEVER seen pavement. That is the last, warranty service i shall get at Coquitlam Chrysler. I will take my mounds of cash elsewhere. My passenger airbag was finally recalled. I've never shopped for a car here, and never will. But it's not the cars' fault though. Sit down and I'll tell you about a funny little story about an unusual experience at Coquitlam Chrysler. Well, it all happened many years back, when I was selling my plush beach cruiser -- a beautiful dream of a bicycle -- because I wanted to change styles and had no room for extra bikes. I had an ad out and I got some strange calls. This one was probably the most notable. The potential buyer said they couldn't travel and instead said I'd have to take the bike to their location, and that they were really interested. Reluctantly, as I hate dealing with online fakes, I made my way across town to show off my prized possession. Well, I show up at the address. Where do we end up? Coquitlam Chrysler. I go to the office and ask for the guy's name and they direct me around to the repairs shop. I ask there, and a crowd of guys come over to look at my bike. Well, aren't these guys cruiser bike experts! They know all about the model I owned, the features, options, etc. They start telling me that my bike was not normal spec, even though I bought it new, and said it was inferior. They also say it was in bad condition, even though the only thing notable was that the fork decal was a bit scratched on one side, and there were some spots on the chrome that could be buffed out. So, the guy lowballs me. Less than half my advertised asking price. And he won't budge. He wasted my time, lied to me, and acted like I was the problem. He and all his coworker cronies stood around in support of him. Welp, that little event ended all hope that I had that I could trust that this wasn't a shady organization that wouldn't want to rip me off when buying a car as well. read more

Was assured the Jeep I bought was mechanically inspected. What I received was a vehicle with no oil, no rear brakes, unsafe steering, no horn driver side light not working Serpentine belt disintegrated and had to replace tensioner, all guide wheels, now oil pressure sensor made the vehicle stall and not restart during rush hour on the Queensborough bridge. I have narrowly escaped three accidents now due to mechanical failures with this truck. Looking at my options. If this sounds like a good place to buy a vehicle.... good luck to you. read more

Great experience here. Long long story short our 2015 caravan had issues. Marine drive played us for weeks and $1000 later and us paying for a loaner from car rental they said it was good to go. It did the same issues and it did before they had it. Wasn't fixed. I insisted a mechanic come with us to diagnose. The mechanic didn't speak English and did nothing. They said it needed to have a check engine light on for them to fix it. Anyways. Marine drive dodge sucks and do not go there. Ever. Coquitlam on the other hand took it for one test drive with me and said torque converter. Right away and with confidence. They fixed it and seen there were trans issues too and gave us a loaner and a good rate and fixed it in 1.5 weeks. We had a extended warranty which covered it all and worked out in the end. BEWARE!! please, do not buy a vehicle from these people, I bought a car with over $20.000 in damages and no one of them told me about it. The car was overpriced and I was misled by those people. They tricked me into buying a warranty that did not cover anything. My heater stopped working 3 months after I bought the vehicle and it took weeks to get someone to answer my phone calls. After they finally responded, they told me the warranty would not cover this and to try the brand's dealership to get it fixed. Rudy was very unprofessional and did not advise me the car had more damage to it than the car was worth when I purchased it and it was also from out of province. I feel very disappointed and devasted now as I am trying to upgrade to a newer car and sell the old one to find out it has so much previous damage from carfax. From beginning to end just indifferent service. Even now as I'm trying to get them to understand my disappointment feeling very dismissed. Walked in knowing what I wanted and $$ to pay. Several visits with attempts to sneak in extra costs, come see the changes, you don't want THAT rack etc etc. I spent hours there while they ran around ignoring me with zero COVID concern. Fast forward to I buy the car and purchase racks expected in the next week (that was about a three hour visit to the dealership) FIVE weeks later when I'm asking for a refund my racks apparently miraculously show up. I go BACK again, drop off my car, returning the next day to find only one of two had been installed. They'd forgotten about the other. So now I wait some more. I've tried to express my concern to the salesman, and apparently the manager (not sure, can't get info from the website) and have been met with lukewarm indifference. I love my Jeep. I've always wanted it. But for such a big, what should've been way purchase, these guys messed up my experience every step of the way. I will not purchase another car from them. read more

Urgent* Do not deal with a sales person named DOUG. This morning, I called to inquire on the new 2102 300C SRT that was advertised in the newspaper today. Well, first off, they had none in stock (why advertise it?). Anyway, Doug rudely hung up on me with no explanation at all. He sounded frustrated and bitter about working with me to determine the next time there will be units there to test drive. As Chrysler tries to build products for a new demographic (us BMW, Mercedes users) they'll need to flush out these poor quality sales people. Doug was rude, offensive (when he clicked the phone down) and has represented that dealership poorly. I will not, I repeat will never do business there in the future unless they make significant changes to their training and quality. A very disappointing experience, but alas, not unexpected as I've heard horrible stories about this dealership over the past several years. read more

What kind of car service department doesn't have a shuttle service to take people home? I don't care if it's Saturday. Especially since when I asked on the phone when booking my appointment and they said yes.. ALSO!!! When I arrived for my appointment, there was one guy behind the counter helping a customer, and another guy doing paperwork. So I waited in line for my turn for about 10 minutes. I was extremely offended when a male customer walked in, when right up to the counter and the guy doing his paperwork started to help him out right away. Seriously????? What am I, chopped liver? NOT cool. So much so, that when I picked up my car I said something to the guy, who offered a meek apology. I will without a doubt be taking my vehicle elsewhere for servicing next time. read more

I bought a used truck here and have nothing but good to say. Salesman, Darren, was friendly and helpful without being pushy. The settled price was fair and they were completely attentive to 2 flaky sensors they agreed they should fix. One involved ordering a part from Honda and one could only be seen to at a Honda dealer (they issued a PO to the dealer closest to me), but no problem. It wasn't clear if a maintenance item had been done by the previous owner, but they had already tracked down that it had been. And I learned later one tire wasn't as good as the other 3 (but legal, so I didn't ask for credit), and they phoned around and found a suitable used replacement that I could get and have installed on the way home. You hear all sorts of things about used car dealers, but this was nothing but positive. And I'm no sharpshooter haggler! I was just open with them about what I wanted and was willing to pay, and showed I'd done my research. No lowballing. No tricks. The only 'hidden' fee to watch for is a default $199 on the contract for nitrogen tire assurance. Demand the nitrogen-filled tires without the extra charge. In all, transaction was low-stress and pro all the way. They made some money I'm sure, but I got the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted. (They offer $150 for referrals that lead to sales, so if you go there from reading this, ask them to donate it to a charity. I don't refer for money.) read more

Bad experience with these guys. After finding the Jeep of my dreams. I went through the credit check got pre approved with all the paper work, put down a deposit and Jeep was on hold until the Saturday. It was Thursday and could not make it out to the burbs during the work week. Got there at lunch time Saturday afternoon only to hear they sold it on the Friday. Felt sorry for my sales guy. He was also mad. Never got an apology or anything. Wasted my time and energy with these guys. I sent them a complaint through there website about my experience and still haven't received a call back. Horrible service. How can they sell something when you put money down on something to pick up a few days later. This is why I hate dealing with car dealerships. Extremely helpful service department. I had a water leak around the door seals and hardtop of my 2015 Wrangler. It was out of warrantee but they absorbed the cost.as a goodwill gesture. They even replaced the jack and tools in the back that had rusted because of the leaks. BEWARE. Do not buy a vehicle from these people. Kelly the sales manager, Joe the salesman, Mike the financer all took advantage of my girlfriend and I. They sold us a jeep at a rate double what we qualified for and mislead us about the features and abilities of the jeep. Not six months later we are sitting in a moldy, leaking jeep because seals started leaking. They couldn't find a loaner car because they said they had too many other vehicles in the shop, so they made us drive around for a week with mold blowing at our face. They said that it's a known issue and there's nothing they can do and it will keep happening for the life of the vehicle, even though it is a brand new vehicle. Update: since writing this review and through a lengthy and extensive exchange with our salesman and numerous sales managers at Coquitlam Chrysler we were finally in contact with a man named Jason, a manager in the web sales department. Through negotiations with him, we were given the help and attention this situation required. He worked tirelessly with us to come to a mutual agreement in which our concerns were dealt with and our situation rectified. Our salesguy, Stuart Allen, was friendly at first, but very pushy and noticeably rushing us around. Throughout the appointment he was very friendly when be thought we were sold, but very rude (hitting his desk with his fist, etc.) when he thought we weren't going to buy anything.The Caravan we test-drove was junky inside; as soon as its doors were opened we could see packages and things lying all over the floor of the vehicle. This made it difficult for me to fasten in my already-difficult-to-fasten daughter's car seat. He was obviously getting irritated by the time I was done (it took about 5 minutes to get it done). He could have helped the process go a bit smoother by removing the large plastic bags of parts that I had to keep kicking out of my way as I tried to get the carseat buckled in. When we asked questions about what was included in the vehicle we were viewing, and especially when asking him to compare the features of said vehicle to another Caravan model, he would look at us like "Wth?" and brush off our question without giving a thorough answer. For example, when asked what features the Caravan R/T had that set it apart from the other Caravan models, he simply answered, "Oh, it has an all black interior with black seats. It's a guy's van. I wouldn't recommend it." Oookay... At one point he said he only had vans with the Family Value Package, to which I replied that we were wanting the better Ultimate Family Package. He gave me his wth-look, and harshly/sarcastically asked,"What's the Ultimate Family Package?" I was confused. Did he, the salesman, actually need me, the customer, to explain a package that he should know all about, especially when there were large posters all over the salesroom (including one just behind his desk) that had "Ultimate Family Package!" written in big, bold print on them? Surely he should know what this package contains? Especially since we had been telling him from the beginning of the appointment that this was the package we wanted in a Caravan. I didn't want to point out the on on obvious by asking, "You don't know what the Ultimate Family Package contains?" so I stayed quiet. I was dumbfounded. Because of my silence and confused stare, he hit the desk with one of his fists, jumped up and walked away sasking another salesguy what the Ultimate Package was. Wow. Every van he showed us was made to seem like "it was the best van for us". That was annoying and pushy. We didn't like that because we wanted to know what features the current model we were looking at had and didn't have compared to the previous models he had shown us. Now we had to be like detective sleuths to see if we could figure out was missing or what was added to the van compared to the previous vans he had shown us. It was kinda like kids' games where they make you figure out what's different from one picture to the next--only it was not as exciting. That made it frustrating to know what we were really looking at, and if it would have the features we wanted. He would walk away while we were asking questions--and we clearly weren't finished asking them--and disappear for 20-30 minute. At one point I saw my husband clench his jaw and grind his teeth when Stuart did this. I could tell things weren't going well. Also, Stuart and his finance team gave us the runaround for 4 HOURS in their office trying to get us to agree to their price. On the Dodge website we were quoted $115 biweekly. However, the lowest they would give us for the same model was $200, even though our credit was perfectly fine. Did I mention that we told them upfront at the beginning of the appointment that we were looking for a price of biweekly around $100, maximum $150? I soon realized that the Dodge website leaves out vital pricing information (sales tax, documentation fees that get charged with every single payment for the entire term, etc.) just to give you a low quote that will rope you in. They surprise you with the real price once they've got you in their office with their pushy salespeople. Finally, as we were leaving, Stuart told us that there's no way he could give us anything on the lot for less than $200 biweekly, not even their newest little car, the Dart. Sooo, he knew upfront that they wouldn't be able to get us anywhere near the price we wanted, yet proceeded to run us around for 4 Hours? What a waste of a beautiful sunny afternoon. They should have been just as upfront with us at the beginning of the appointment as we were with them; then my family could have gone and enjoyed our day elsewhere. 4 hours is a lot for anyone to be in an office, especially me since I'm heavily pregnant (hello to serious hunger and peeing every 20 minutes, not to mention the swelling in my legs and feet), plus dealing with our 2-year-old daughter the whole time... What a fiasco. We should have told Stuart exactly what we heard another lady tell a salesguy while we were waiting at one point. She said to him, "You guys are BS." read more

I test drove a couple of Dodge Dakota's there last year in hopes of getting something newer than what I had. The salesman, I can't remember his name, but he was in his mid 50's and obese. He complained about his co-workers the entire time, to the point of accusing them of be criminals! When I spoke to him about trading in my vehicle, he asked me what I felt my vehicle was worth. He then immediately yelled across the showroom floor... "Hey Fred, she thinks her vehicle is worth $xx," laughing all the while. It was a horrifying experience, considering he was a salesman! Blew a tire on Sunday, tow truck towed to dealership and they had it fixed along with a few other small things by noon on Monday. Communication was great, price high but expected. I wish I could give 0 stars. I bought a 2014 Jeep from these guys. The salesman actually said that features in the vehicle existed when the model I bought didn't have them. I just assumed he knew what he was talking about. Roll ahead to the last few months (Dec-Jan-Feb-March) and the salesmen there are repeatedly calling trying to get me to buy a new vehicle when my current Jeep isn't even two years old. I politely asked to not be called again a couple of times, but now have to resort to being quite aggressive and rude. The few times I did go back to this dealership, they were inattentive and and really didn't treat me as a valuable customer. I will never go back to this dealership or support them in any way. Update: They actually had the gall to call again in March 2016 and sensing that I was ready to ball them out tried to spin their lame sales pitch as wanting to buy my vehicle back from me to so they can sell it down in the states. I brought the truck in and was told by the service department that it was not covered by warranty and costs would be out of my pocket because it was an aftermarket part that was breaking the oem part and that warranty does not cover it even though it was bought through them and installed by their department! After spending close to $25000.00 in parts and service to upgrade my truck through their service department. What a Joke! The only reason I bought parts and used their service department to install was to make sure that I would have piece of mind in thinking that their doing the work would still keep warranty on truck! Guess not! I should have went to North Shore off road who back their work! By the way I also purchased the most expensive extended warranty hoping a dealership would back that up! All I can say is stay away and never will I buy or use their service or parts department again! Also just a side note it happened to a friend of mine that bought a dodge and had an aftermarket bumper do the same thing in 100 Mile House. He took it back to the Dodge dealership there and they fixed it with no charge under warranty because they sold and installed it. Was looking for a used Honda. Came across one at this "reputable" dealership. Right away the manager Mark told me that the car was perfect and needed no work. Never trusting of salespeople i decided to get a third party inspection done anyway, for peace of mind. Strange that he had a shop ready to go, seems they use them a lot?questionable? Upon inspection it was found that all 4 tires need to be replaced. a bunch of light bulbs. and it needed a valve cover gasket done. This is not "perfect"i paid for this inspection out of my own pocket for a car that had already been "meticulously checked" by their own mechanic shop. obviously i did not take the car as it needed this work done. but the worst part is that when i asked about how his own certified mechanics could miss all this work he said."maybe hge was having an off day" which makes me wonder about how may off days were had while checking other cars. Mark was also condescending and asked me for my "qualifications" when i was talking about the work that needed to be done. he then got very personal asking me my age and said i was acting juvenile when i called him out on pushing his cars as perfect without actually knowing anything. all in all i will never buy from this dealership and will instruct all other to either avoid at all costs or have the dealership pay for a third party inspection as it is obvious that their inspections are worth nothing. read more

This is not the Chrysler dealership I normally patronize, and I won't be back. They supposedly had in stock the replacement keys, which my normal dealer would need to order in. Drove most of the way across the lower mainland to get there in good time, then they announced they would only cut keys for the registered owner who needed to show a driver's license with the same address as the car. Owner was in Squamish, but available on the phone. As their variety of "rules" were interpreted, an email scan of the drivers license was sent to several apparently incorrect addresses, and I eventually left after running out of time. They weren't exactly apologetic, or willing to take responsibility for their errors. Canadian Tire on Marine drive will copy the key, no questions asked, so will the Broadway Locksmith who is a very professional business. Coquitlam Chrysler is not a solution oriented dealer, and I would be reluctant to trust them again. read more

Don't go here if you value your time, money, or self!! Completely negative experience from the sales staff and sales managers to the service team. We went to Coquitlam Chryler looking for a used Jeep Wrangler. A salesman named Joe approached us and told us that with the interest rates of a used jeep being close to or a bit above 5% since we are financing our best option would be to go to a new jeep as the finance rate on them is 0% and if we financed for 8 years only 3.29%. When asked how much I could spend a month on car payments I said $600 was my absolute limit. I was assured by Joes response "oh that's tons of money, you can get a big truck for that." Since we were in the malls parking lot for Coquitlam chryslers "employee discount" we drove to Chrysler where we got more information about the vehicle. We were assured with the sales manager Alvin that all our worries were addressed, we were getting a good deal and when we said the finance rate he didn't say anything to the contrary. I was very concerned about the jeeps already almost 1000km driven on it and said its basically used. I was assured by Joe that it is common and most cars have that much on it because of test drives and that it was good because it weeded out any flaws with the jeep. I again told him of my $600 limit being assured that it was going to be tight but I need not worry because jeeps hold there value like no other vehicle on the road and I will never have a problem selling it. We had evening plans and we told Joe and Alvin we would come back tomorrow and sign the papers. They both told us that this was there last day of employee financing and if we came back tomorrow we would have to pay a couple thousand more than now and their hands would be tied. They both then assured us that it takes about 10 minutes in the financial office it is just a few quick pieces of paper about everything we have talked about. So we agreed and walked in to the office. We told the guy that we are sorry but we would need to rush a bit. The man (Mike) was incredibly slow and talked to us for about 20 minutes about everything under the sun and then told us that he lost track of time and he will get all the papers really fast and we can just sign sign sign. He told us that 8 years financing was the only way we could get close to $600 a month and we would pay $336 biweekly. With us already knowing the interest rate would be 3.29% we decided that with the discount and interest rate we would still go for it. The pages were read to us about warranty first in great detail only to be met again with saying "oh look at the time, sorry we can rush." Covering papers and asking us to sign we ended up walking out of his office completely unsettled not really understanding what just happened but with 12 missed calls we drove home. No papers were given to us and completely unsettled we went back to Coquitlam Chrysler and asked for our copies of the paper only to be told it would take about a week for us to get them. Fast forward to us looking at our papers and realizing we have just signed a paper with 5.49% financing. We called Joe and complained and went into the store to complain being told that they will see what's going on with that. Fast forward a week and our "fully loaded top of the line" jeep doesn't have Bluetooth like Joe told us - time in the shop to install that (after a big fight). Fast forward a month and when our jeep gets its under coat sprayed (part of our warranty) we were in a rental for a week (we were told it was a 1 day procedure). Fast forward another 5 months and our jeep is under 4 inches of water and has mold growing everywhere. After being forced to drive it for almost a week in the winter with mold growing in our cars Vents because the service team, Joe and Kelly (the service manager Joe told us to talk to) said they can't get us another car. Done with the entire situation we told Kelly to take the car back; enough is enough. We were met with him telling us you're holding a lot of negative equity but go pick a truck in the lot and we will try to make it so you only lose about 12 grand of negative equity. When telling him we want something fuel efficient and small like a car he pushed a truck and told us that his hands were tied. Joe assured us he would get results by talking to Jeff their general manager. Update: since writing this review and through a lengthy and extensive exchange with our salesman and numerous sales managers at Coquitlam Chrysler we were finally in contact with a man named Jason, a manager in the web sales department. I had the WORST experience with this dealership. First I emailed inquiring about a used vehicle and asked numerous times whether the vehicle was in an accident. The car salesman was very unprofessional, his name is Ryan Whitford. He would only release the report to me after obtaining all my information and reassured me the vehicle was in top shape. I had several issues with this interaction. 1) he had me give him sensitive information by email to an email address not associated with the dealership. 2) he would not speak on the phone, only by text or email. 3) after expressing my disappointment he threw my credit reporting in my face as though my business was not worthy in the first place. 4) he neglected to tell me the details of the accident history stating he had no access to it, then later revealed them I am assuming by accident.
