This is fine for me because most of the time my "take to dry cleaning" pile is sitting there for about 2 months before I get around to it. They called me on the Monday that my order was to be ready and told me it wouldn't be available till Tuesday because they had to send one piece back since it wasn't cleaned to their liking. I thought this was really nice instead of just giving me a poorly cleaned item! When I finally picked up, everything was pressed and cleaned perfectly. They are now even tagging clothes with a little bar code to help for future cleaning, how creative! The only reason I didn't give them a 5/5 is because of their price. They actually aren't terrible for a good dry cleaners, I paid about $100 for 2 sweaters, 2 dresses, 2 tops and 5 ties with a 10% off coupon. I was just used to $2.50 an item at my dry cleaners in St. Louis :) They do have coupons available so keep on the look out!

Like the other Salvation Army Thrifts in the area they have gone to a pricing system for most clothes and shoes where all items in a category are the same price and there is a single color that is 50% off an on Wednesday all but 1 color are 50% off. This system can work well in offering some good bargains if they are receiving items that are desirable, however that seems to be the issue for this store. for the last couple of visits here I have just not found any items that I was interested in. The racks seem to be a bit under stocked, not a lot of selection especially for a large store such as this. The items that are for sale are not anything special or really desirable. In the past I have found some decent clothing items, recently I haven't even found anything I wanted to try on or research. This store has never been really well stocked with decor items or housewares, but there used to be an occasional special item that would catch my eye; now the selection is limited and not very interesting. The Avon Salvation Army is still good if you are shopping for wardrobe basics and you want to fill out your closet; it is less desirable if you are looking for anything high end or really fashionable. The non-clothing items are just so-so. Of course you may have a much different impression. Worth a visit if you are in the area, but not worth a special trip.
