I use Copy Dot Com a lot for work, and they are fantastic to work with. The space is clean and bright, and the staff are endlessly patient with my low level of graphic design/print media literacy. Recently, I had a little snafu with an order, and they were quick to make things right and were gracious when it turned out to be my mistake. I came here this morning to print my boarding pass for a flight later today, and to my luck service was absolutely terrible. There were 3 more people in the store, and only one needed assistance, other than me. But the staff were busy chatting with each other, or over the phone. I usually do not need assistance, but for some odd reason the document wouldn't get sent to the printer to print, so I tried as politely as humanly possible to catch a staff member's attention. Instead of helping me out, he lectured me about how I should have used another computer, because they prefer the one I used stays free for those who only want to browse the web. So I listened to him, and used the other pc, which still would not print my paper. I asked him for help, and I told him that I have a flight to catch, but he could not care less. He told me to wait while he calls for someone to help me, and suddenly decided he will cash other customers out, although another staff member was standing there to do just that. I heard him tell his colleague that Im having trouble printing and mocking me. From that point on, I had no patience left in me, I walked to the counter and asked a different staff member for help. Although she wasn't all that energetic, but at least she wasnt rude. read more

i went in to get some wedding pictures printed and blown up but when i got there (my first time) the staff seemed irritated to help me. anyway i came back 2 days later to pick up my order but the quality was terrible they shouldn't tell you they can print pictures because they can't. I only gave 2 stars because the guy who gave me my order was way nicer than the previous lady. read more

This place is great if you get the right person to help you. Matt is a life savior, super helpful and knowledgable and he'll make sure everything prints perfect and won't charge for the test print. If you see the girl with half a shaved head, long black hair and glasses RUN the other way. She's super rude and unfriendly and makes it seem like a favor that she's helping you out. Also she'll mess up the print job but will still charge for it. She's the only reason I'm giving a four star rather than a five. read more

Kudos for Copy Dot Com for holding strong and old school. This place brings back fond memories of the 24-hour copy shop I frequented as an undergraduate, desperately copying and binding projects before menacingly impending deadlines. The service is super friendly, and it seems like they can do anything you need. Parking is usually not a problem, even with the encroachment of ever more bar and restaurant hot spots. Reliability, accuracy, and excellent service are essentials for this type of business, and everything is well priced, to boot! read more

Been going here on and off for 20-odd years. Service has sometimes been rushed and arrogant but I like to support the little and local guys. Today I wanted to print out some good quality 8x10 and 16x20 prints to frame. Called Copydotcom to see if they could offer some help with JUST getting the resolution right for good prints. Told them there were viable options online but wanted to go local, which didn't faze them, even when I repeated it in the store. The rudeness of one of the staff members was unreal. I told her my issue and she just sent me to a computer to figure it all out myself, including intricacies of Photoshop. I didn't need a graphic designer, just basic help printing out good quality prints, as much of the prep I had done at home. After much frustration and the now absence of anyone to help (aside from a dude who helped briefly but was rushed), I walked out and will probably never return. Now using the online and very helpful UnitPrints service for my needs. Good riddance CDC! read more

God bless the nice man at Copy Dot Com that saved the day when I was kicking myself for waiting to the last minute to order prayer cards for my son's baptism. It would have cost over $100 to rush order them online and I wasted $20 and a whole lot of time and energy trying to print them myself. I stopped by a few hours before the baptism thinking that it would probably be a wash and didn't have my hopes up, but Copy Dot Com came to the rescue! In less than an hour, he simplified the process of picking the right size, paper, image quality, and formatting and I left with beautiful, professional looking cards. The worst possible service ever! No one greeted or even smiled when I came in. This place was highly recommended so I was Lowkey excited to try it. I had a certain idea and size of the paper that i wanted. The employee was so arrogant that she just pointed to a computer; knowing I didn't need it I went over trying to see if I could adjust it on my own. So I get up and ask her for the size that I wanted to be printed out. She blank stares at me like I'm crazy; umm ok. I see a size that I like and another lady with the stankiest ass attitude said that that print would take 2 weeks...now being that I am a little perturbed I said "what would take 2 weeks" defensively. Since she didn't want to help me but proceeded to tell me something I didn't need. It was a wedding invitation and I was wanting the size of the invitation not the actual wedding layout..I'm like GIRL, listen to what I'm actually asking for TF . It was a horrible experience and as a future business owner I would really consider who I hire! Never will I support that trash ass spot again. read more

Would not recommend if you want the job done right! If you need anything like a book, pamphlets or anything of length they do not have ANYONE on staff to proof read or put your document on a program to spell check.... even though they tell you they do. Who has a printing company with numerous computers with out a program to check for grammar mistakes! read more

Great Job! Ran out of cards and needed a quick fix. I emailed my artwork before the start of business and by 11:30 I was in the store proofing my cards. Apparently they were just slow enough to offer to squeeze in printing WHILE I WAITED! The process was quick, clean, and professional. Getting express printing does not get any better. Price was exactly what I would expect for a print shop to handle a rush job. Accolades for Ms. Chambers, the employee who helped me. I've been very pleased with almost everything Copy.com has printed for our theater but today I'm bragging about their customer service! I had some certificates printed back in October before our annual comedy festival. At the time, I noticed a pink stain on all 50 certificates - an obvious mechanical error. So I finally got back to taking back the certificates TODAY (January 16) and they still replaced them at no charge. I usually work with Jennifer when placing the orders & she's always great. Besides friendly, competent service in our own Montrose neighborhood copy center which can do anything rapidly and well, the owner supports our community endlessly!! They have supported all the schools offering free or good discounts for DECADES. And they support community cultural richness including Stages Theater and others at a very high level-- similar to United Airlines sponsorship. Finally they know the history of our city and neighborhood, valuing the diversity of talents in music and culture. These guys deserve an award and our appreciation for all they do! read more

Jeff was superb from talking to me on the phone to seeing the proof to following up his email about when it would be ready. They even helped me take the big box of cards to my car. These people know what they're doing when it comes to printing services, and always they do a great job. But they are the rudest people in Houston. The grey haired guy acts so put out when I ask for anything. The last time I was at the counter and he had his back turned to me as I was waiting for a good five minutes then he turns and states "can i help you with something?" WHY IN GODS NAME WOULD I BE WAITING AT A COUNTER FOR 5 MINUTES IF I DID NOT NEED TO BE HELPED!!!!!! This guy has a real chip on his shoulder. I dread going here but I have to when I need a job done well. They do excellent work but it is a unpleasant atmosphere. read more

I have used this business for years now and while they have produced many quality jobs for me, customer service in store is almost always an issue. In my most recent experience, I had emailed back and forth for a project days in advance to make sure everything was good to go, and on the day of pickup called to make sure it was ready. They were about to print and asked me a few setup questions. I went to pick it up but there was one major error with the print. When I asked if they could print it again how I had specified it over the phone (no rush, I made clear I would be happy to come back another time), another employee came up to me and was immediately hostile, swearing that I had said something completely different on the phone. It became clear after that she just wanted to avoid the trouble of reprinting and was going to charge me full price for both the misprint and the final. There was no need for the conversation to have escalated at all, and I was stunned by her attitude. From now on I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have never seen such incompetence on display. Our request was simple. We provided a USB drive with a jpg file and some nice paper, and we asked that they make a measley 10 copies of the image on that paper. The young girl tried everything she could to get us to use the self service copiers, which could not use the paper we wanted. We insisted that they do it themselves so we could use the nice paper, and she reluctantly agreed to help. She made a whole three copies before basically telling us she didn't want to keep sending the image to the printer, so our choices were to make copies of a copy ourselves or just take the three copies she made. I took the three copies and went elsewhere, but not before paying $8 for those three! I find it so hard to believe such laziness could exist in a customer service industry. And the kicker is that when we went to other employees, we were passed around until we ended up back with the same girl. Ridiculous, and a complete waste of time and money. read more

Called on the phone, they said to have all my photos in one email. I put them in one and once I got there I was told it had to be in a pdf. They charge for computer time, even if you stop to ask questions or are deleting your stuff. It was a relatively quick process. $20 for 20 8'11' photos. I wanted originally photo paper but they only had a "glossy matte" so it sufficed. Wish I was told over the phone more accurately so I could have come prepared and done the editing on my computer at home. If you have a printer and a computer I would just buy some good paper and do it at home. read more
