Copycats has been fast and reliable for every project I've used them for. I'm an independent documentary producer, so I rarely have much of a budget, or much time to accomplish my printing needs. Copycats, Bob specifically, has been very good to my productions. Their turnaround time for communication and printing is incomparable to other printers in the city and they always give the best rates. I called Copycats and connected with Trevor to discuss my printing needs for my mother's memorial service. I went to another printing place prior to them for price quotes and thought I would try another to compare pricing. Copycats had the better pricing. Trevor was with me every step of the way from the very beginning. I printed a few items, prayer cards, memorial service programs, poster-sized photos. I revised the prayer cards, I kept pushing back the delivery date on the other materials due to revisions (on the program) and photo selections for the posters. Trevor took every call, answered every email, with patience and in a very timely fashion. Whenever I stopped by to pick up a proof or a complete copy job (after Trevor was gone for the day), the other team members were there to accommodate me with great courtesy and quality service. Even though I kept pushing back the date for when I could get them my materials so they could do the printing job... Copycats still got it all done on time. Same day. No rush fee. The only thing that tops the great and friendly customer service is the quality of the prints. They're flawless. This is a very sensitive time for me and when planning a memorial service, there are a lot of things to do, calls to make, and there is a strong need for timely service from all the vendors. Copycats exceeded my expectations and really helped to make this entire process go really smoothly for me. I really appreciate that. read more

I needed something printed last minute on a Sunday morning, and almost every FedEx Office location…read morewas closed until the afternoon. I found ABG Print on Yelp and headed to their location. Upon arriving at the address listed on Yelp and their website (which is a multi occupancy office building) - the doors were locked with a nondescript intercom system. I called them to try to figure out how to get in. Nobody picked up, but the message proclaimed that they were 'open and operating but couldn't get to the phone.' I wandered around a bit more and found the REAL entrance, located at 520 8th Avenue. I went to check in at the security desk as required, and was turned away by the security guard because apparently, they are appointment-only. That seems odd for a supposedly 24 hour establishment. I did not see this on the website, nor was it mentioned in their phone message. Long story short, wasted so much time going to this place, trying to get in, trying to get a hold of them, trying to get past security, and with nothing to show for it. Will not be trying this business again.

In fact, the only station in the city open on Sundays and a lifesaver for those who started writing holiday cards on the Friday before Christmas. Peering into the "envelopes" mail slot, thousands of pieces of mail were visibly overflowing the sacks, requiring some gingerly wedging of my small booklet-worth of correspondence in between others. Fingers crossed all made it out ok! Shoutout to one of two staff working the two open counters at 5pm on Sunday December 21, you were friendly, prompt and helpful and put your best foot forward for terrific customer service. Only 2 counters were open and the line was about a dozen people long, steadily moving. For service--a solid 5 stars. Facilities are as expected a bit on the older side, being built in 1912 as part of the original Penn Station complex, though the modern conveniences of tap-to-pay technology and self-service weigh/postage stations are available. Waiting in line, the details on the ceiling caught my attention. Maybe because the darker evening outside accentuated the brighter interior, the simultaneously ornamental, scrolling flourishes fitted in repeating geometric patterns stood out in ways I hadn't noticed before. Come to find after some googling the ceiling is decorated with the country seals of 11 countries including the US, the countries part of the universal postal union at the time of construction, an administrative body now under the purview of the United Nations that handles international shipping policies. Not very fun facts: designated a national historic landmark in 1973 and re-named after James Farley, 53rd U.S. Postmaster General in 1982. Previously generically named the General Post Office. Slightly more fun fact: atop the facade along 8th Avenue the inscription reads, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." Some may confuse this to be the creed of the U.S. Postal Service, but it's actually not. Rather, it's tied to the tribute that building architect William Mitchell Kendall paid to major historical figures credited with postal advancements. This is an excerpt out of Herodotus's 'Histories', which described the messenger system established in Persia by Cyrus the Great.

As someone who has regularly used this post office for years given its easy availability, including with a P.O. Box there, it amazes me what has developed, especially since the building now also includes Penn Station's Moynihan Hall. Yes, they do have window service every day, but 98% of the time they're slow as molasses long lines because less than optimal staffing levels. Hey, USPS, this is the city that never sleeps, yet P.O. Boxes and self-serve Automatic Centers are now closed off to the public at night!!! Why? (Note - This is despite the faster than inflation, year-after-year increase in this location's P.O. Box rental rates.) Why is the only ADA access, as far as I could find it, on the almost the. complete opposite side of the building towards 9th Avenue inside Moynihan Hall?

Copycats have always honored all my last minute job requests, the finish product is always impeccable as is the service. This service usually consist of materials in 25-30 tabbed binders. I have never had to return a job or had a complaint about a job that was done. They are truly reliable, they product is always delivered in time before my meetings. I am an Architect and had just picked up some large format drawings from a consultant a few floors above Copycats. I needed the consultant drawings and my drawings combined in a hurry and even though none of the drawings were printed there Trevor was more than happy to help me pull out staples, compile the drawings and re-staple them without ever asking me for anything in return!!!
