They refused to move a safe that I specifically told them when hired that it would go into the basement. They refused. I asked them to put our sectional downstairs. They refused saying that it wouldn't fit. Then a mover used a swiffer broom to simulate a sex act. I was so disgusted that I threw it away. I wasn't going to say anything but my father in law said that I should call. The woman that I was speaking with, she refused to give me her name, said that she didn't believe me because I should have said something two months ago. We're new to town and I didn't want to create a problem because it's a small town. The woman was extremely rude and condescending. I was blown away by her responses. Don't use them unless you want a poor job done by people who don't value you as a customer.

I freaked out because I thought I was hiring professional movers. They said I was overly upset and unreasonable because I expected them to respect my home and belongings. We had used this company before about 7 years ago and they did a great job. Different movers than last time and much different outcome! Won't ever hire them again and don't recommend!!! they left half way through the job so now I am left trying to find movers to finish. I called the office to speak to the owner who was not there and left a message for her to call me back. Crickets. I left a one star rating because zero wasn't an option

Disappointing Experience with Peoria Team, Madison Team Was Great…read more I recently moved from Peoria, IL to Madison, WI on Monday, 2/2/26 using Two Men and a Truck, and unfortunately the experience was very mixed. The Peoria team was a major letdown. They arrived late and did not provide the level of service that was agreed upon. Several pieces of furniture -- some over 40 years old -- were supposed to be properly wrapped and protected, and that simply did not happen. As a result, multiple items were damaged. When the Madison movers unloaded the truck, they immediately noted that the truck had not been loaded correctly, which they confirmed likely caused the damage. In contrast to Peoria, the Madison crew was professional, careful, and communicative. One especially concerning issue: an open knife was left on top of a couch inside the truck. Had the Madison movers not noticed it in time, someone could have been seriously injured. This shows a serious lack of care and safety awareness by the Peoria team. I've been trying to resolve these issues with the Peoria home office, but responses have been slow and unhelpful so far, which has only added to the frustration. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend using another service, or at the very least avoiding the Peoria location. The Madison team did their best to fix a bad situation, but the damage was already done.

They would not answer my calls, keep giving me the run around about getting a claim filed for reimbursement for what I had to pay for damage they did. Never heard from them again. Ours was delivered last week by two men, one of which was extremely rude to me and my family members as soon as they arrived (2 hours late). Complained about the job, accused us of being unprepared (took off work and moved stove and cabinetry out of kitchen). He was referring to our need to remove the doors of the fridge to get it in the house -we told Menards we would need to do this and they assured us it would be no problem. His partner left during the delivery because "time is money". He tried to do it alone and nearly dropped the fridge and then he dented our stove with the old one. We asked him to please call his partner back and he said that the waiver I signed meant he could "damage whatever he wanted". Repeatedly said "I should leave this on your front porch" and "you're lucky I'm still here". Demanded extra cash on top of what we prepaid. Ultimately the partner (who was kind and apologetic) returned and they were able to bring it in no problem. My husband did at least 50% of the work bringing in doors and removing the old fridge while he sat on his phone and complained. We asked them to leave without installing because of his behavior and attitude. Menards refunded us and said they have had similar complaints before. Will never hire or recommend. I feel bad for the apologetic partner, he probably could've done a good job without the other guy!
