They installed a generator a few years prior for a family member who lives only 3 miles from us. When my wife scheduled our initial consultation, they called an hour before the appointment and said they didn't want to come out. When they realized we were referred by a current customer, they decided to come out and rescheduled for a later time. We received a quote, put down a deposit, and scheduled for a date in November 2025 that they chose. My wife called their office twice to confirm and get details for the appointment. My wife also spoke with the office a week before our installation date and the employee said she didn't have all of the information, but stated she was sure that everything was fine and that we were on schedule. Her reaction struck my wife as strange so she explained that it was extremely difficult for us to take time off from work and that we did not want any surprises. The secretary assured my wife that everything was set and ready for our installation day. The next contact made by North Country Power Generation was at 7:30pm the night before the installation to cancel. When my wife questioned the employee as to why he was cancelling, he was very rude and said the inspector didn't get back to them in time. The next morning, my wife talked to the inspector's office and was told the paperwork for the permit had only been submitted two days prior and that payment was never received from North Country Power Generation to even get our inspection and permits. The woman at the inspector's office said there was no way that North Country Power Generation was planning to do the installation on our scheduled day. North Country Power Generation did schedule a power shut-off for our home; however, Consumers Energy was never notified the installation had been cancelled and arrived on our installation day to turn off our power. Fortunately, my wife was home to stop the shut-off. She tried multiple times that day to call North Country Power Generation's office to request our deposit be returned, but nobody answered. After calling the main office and two other phone numbers given to us, she eventually received a call back. We were told nobody was in the office because everyone went deer hunting. This employee had inadvertently told my wife the actual reason they cancelled our installation. They knew they had not submitted permits or paid the inspector when they confirmed our installation a week prior. Instead, they chose to wait until the night before to cancel and lied to us about why they did it. Additionally, they apparently rescheduled an installation date in December 2025 without our knowledge or permission and sent Consumers Energy out yet again to turn off our power. Luckily, due to inclement weather, my wife happened to be home from work that day to stop them. It took over a month to get our $500 deposit back. Again, there was miscommunication between the office staff and their bookkeeper. The miscommunication and lack of professionalism that we were shown by North Country Power Generation has prompted me to leave this review so someone else does not have a similar experience. Luckily, we found another company and explained our situation to them. This company had our Generac installed in less than two months without a problem. Now that we have a more professional company, we are grateful to have gone through this experience. With all of the issues we experienced with the cancellation, who knows what types of issues we would've experienced with their installation, maintenance, and servicing. If you are reading this review and are considering this company for a Generac purchase, my wife and I would strongly encourage you to reconsider.

My kids could have done a better job. It was so bad that the concrete guys wouldn't pour until they cleaned it up. 2. The manifold for the install was sideways and at ground level. Upon completion the use of multiple PEX connections within an 18" span is just lazy poor workmanship. They kept coming back to refill the lines for the pressure test so that it would pass inspection when they knew there was a leak but chose to not fix it. 3. Two techs left the job with a known water leak from a copper pipe for the day with water leaking into another room and under the tub. When I called to complain the gentleman on the phone (I believe he said his name was Steffen) he was nothing but defensive of their poor work. He finally admitted to not being aware of the job but never backed down from making excuses for their poor labor practices. 4. Evaporator coil drain line was hooked up improperly causing a backup and draining to the floor. They came out and fixed it and admitted to their mistake on this one. No complaints for admitting fault and making this item right. The majority of the time you would get a different tech out working on the job who would sometimes admit that they had no clue where on the job they were coming to "pickup where someone else left off". NO MOORE MECHANICAL......find an actual reputable company who takes pride in their work and stands behind it. ( I welcome a response from Moore Mechanical, as they have ignored my concerns thus far)
