Colvins installed a low threshold shower with shower door, new vanity and re positioned toilet. The price was very good workmanship was efficient and clean. They worked through some difficult issues with the shower door and came through with flying colors. Their team is A-1 and I highly recommend them. I will use them again in the futur. read more

Very friendly staff did our estimate for new hot water heater and water softener but about lost my lunch when I saw the cost. The quote for just the water softener was $5000! I can buy one for my home for under $600. They try and upsell everything with no regard for a persons budget. My home is a cabin not a $1,000,000 home. I went with another local contractor who installed a new water heater, added the water softener and upgraded all the plumbing including my well connections in the home for under $4000. We had a tub to shower enclosure installed by Colvin's. The quote received was in line with other respected contractors in the area, but absolutely blew away the highly advertised bath to shower companies and their "commissioned" based high pressure quotes. The designs and products presented were very well explained by Eric. With decisions by my wife and guidance from Eric, the engineered marble panels, rain glass floating doors, and fixtures were selected. With some money down and material procurement completed, Eric and Chuck proceeded with demolition, proper framing for the new, and finally installation. Eric and Chuck were absolutely amazing, exhibiting extreme professionalism and an outstanding work ethic (with ingress/egress mats laid and cleanup on all days worked). Bathroom remodeling isn't really advertised by Colvin's, but it should be, as the work completed by these two gentlemen was top notch, as other work completed in the past for us by Colvin's (plumbing, electrical, Generac installation). Colvin's knows that I am a very demanding customer but has always come through. A great company with great people from those in the office (Shannon and Shanna) to sales personnel (Eric, Jason, David, and Joe) and especially to our installers Eric and Chuck. read more

Colvins did a great job installing our new furnace. First off, this furnace replacement job required some tricky scheduling as I needed to travel from out of town and only had a small window (one day) to have this project completed. When I explained the situation over the phone, Amy at Colvins was tremendously pleasant and helpful--what a great asset to the company to have such a welcoming, professional voice to assist customers! On the day of installation, the work crew showed up on time, talked me through what they would be doing, and were very efficient in getting their work done. They swapped out our 20+ year old dinosaur for a super efficient Rheem two-stage furnace, installed an easy-access air filter replacement door, and installed a new digital thermostat (bye-bye antique dial-type thermostat). But in full disclosure, the install was not entirely flawless. While ascending our attic ladder to check a whistling noise in the ducting, the attic ladder was broken by the work crew, but I appreciated that they were up front about the accident, and they encouraged me to call the store to make arrangements for Colvins to assist with the cost of replacement--and, of course, Amy was exceptionally accommodating in this respect when I shared with her what had happened. And to top off the experience, a couple of days after the job was finished, I received an unexpected gift in the mail--an overnighted package containing a tin of cookies with a note from Colvins thanking me for choosing them. First service call went fine, they fixed the wiring problem and had no problems for a couple months. Then my (very old ) furnace had a different problem and called them out again. This time I was not home and the service tech said it would be 6 to 800 to fix because the fan blower was Welded into place and could not be removed. This was a flat out lie but they still charged me 80 dollars. When I called back to explain they said they would look in to it. That was a week ago and have had no return phone call. It's ok my pregnant girlfriend has had to load firewood twice a day for a couple months now and I get to come home after working 60 hrs a week and make firewood read more

Colvins installed our whole house Generac and transfer switch 4 years ago and have been providing our annual factory service. They were very thorough in sizing and locating our unit to fit our needs. We had an extraordinary experience with this company. We had a Generac installed in July 2019. From setting up the appointment with the salesperson, Joe, to the electrician, David Stern from Stern Electric, to Jared who installed the unit and explained it ALL to us, to Shannon who called to schedule the inspection, to the man who called to see if everything went well, to the thank you gift of cookies sent to our door (never in my 60+ years have I ever received a gift from a company with whom I hired to do work for me) the people were sensational! As to the product, I will not know until it is needed... The price was competitive. My neighbor had one installed by Home Depot and he had to coordinate all the services including the electrician, plumber, and installer. It took days for him to get it completed. Colvin's coordinated everything and ours was installed in less than 5 hours. Although our unit was smaller than our neighbor's, I was extremely pleased with our price and knowing that if anything should not be working as expected, we have 24/7 service in case of need.
