Copper has been a welcome addition to the Lake Wylie community. As an area native, it has become our go to spot for entertaining out of town friends and relatives, no matter the time of year. The beer selection is fantastic and frequently updated. The patio area is perfect for enjoying the weather. Service is always good and, on the off chance that something comes out incorrectly, you can bet that the staff will make it right. We have yet to order food that wasn't delicious. However, in the dozens of visits that we've made, I just can't seem to get away from the Tex-Mex pizza. It's fantastic! Keep up the good work, gang, and we'll keep stopping in! read more

The food is absolutely amazing. The staff is always friendly and upbeat. We have been a total of four times (in the last five weeks) and every time we rave about the food. My husband, son and I stopped here for dinner while we were in the area. We were pleasantly surprised with how good everything was. We started with their made from scratch chips & salsa which were very good. I had the shrimp tacos which were delicious, but a little spicy. My son had the angel hair pasta with marinara which was good. My husband had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and he loved it! They have a great beer selection. The service was also superb. This is my favorite sports bar to eat at. The service is great, the food is great, the atmosphere is great.

Good local pub and restaurant - have been several times. We like the red neck egg rolls appetizer, have had flat bread pizzas that were good, and have also tried a couple of other entrees. Like other local places, service can vary, but has been consistent and friendly the last couple of times we have been. The local draft beer selection is good as well. read more

My GF attempted to have my birthday dinner hear (last year, September). She called a few days before and asked if they take reservation and they said OK, just let us know how many etc. Then on the day of the dinner she called a few hours early to actually make the reservation, they said that they don't take them at all, and to just come up. So we left a little early to get the seats... When we pulled into the parking lot I had to hit the brakes and come to a complete stop, while halfway in the road... Because one of the cooks was standing in the middle on the entrance trying to light a cigar.. and he continues to light and puff until it's good and going, before he finally (slowly) moved out of the way (walking the same direction I'm driving, as oppose the walking to the side). When we arrived at the door, they were closed.. we are told they are closed for the rest of the day for scheduled repairs (to a place that had been open just a few weeks), closed 45mins after my GF called them. The man that came too the door was the manager (and the same guy that my GF spoke to on the phone). He offered no apologies, no nothing, not even a "sorry, happy birthday" , just a blank stare like we did somthing wing, he was rude as heck. Why did they waste our time and not tell us they where closing when we called. They explicitly said to come... The experience overall was so rude, I will not go back, and neither will friends and family. We went to SweetWater and it was fantastic and friendly. read more

So this was my first time here, I ordered the Fish & Chips and I can say by far this was the best fish & chips I have EVER had!!! My husband had a burger with chips and he was also amazed at how good his food was. The kids normally don't eat everything on their plate but there was nothing to take in to go boxes for them!! Went there for lunch with my wife on a Monday afternoon after running a few errands. There was plenty of seating available and we were sat right away. I had the hamburger and my wife had a salad. The food was average - hamburger didn't have a lot of taste and the bacon I asked ot be added was burnt. The service was average at best. For the most part, we were ignored by the wait staff. I sat with an empty cup for 5 minutes waiting for the waitress to notice I needed a refill. I won't be in a hurry to go back. read more

Thanks NC Gov. Cooper for being such a wuss! If it weren't for you shutting down NC like a pansy, we'd never have landed at the Copper Pub. So glad we found it, too. The place has a nice atmosphere- great seating options and interactions with multiple employees (and the owner) were very positive. The food and drink options were nice. Great restaurant with good food and great service but just lost our weekly business due to the arrogance and condescending attitude of manager wanna be. When questioned about why.a gate between a parking lot and large outside play area had to be open when toddlers could easily slip out, the manager called my 63 year old wife "sweetie" and said parents need to parent. Advice. Don't call professional business women "sweetie" and if you have a kids night and a large play area beside a parking lot, keep the closed before you lose more than just our business. read more

My husband and I have eaten at Cooper several times since it opened. For approx. the first two months we raved about the food - loved the pizza, sandwiches, etc. Although the wait staff is slow and a little standoffish, we were willing to continue going due to good food in this area. One day, about 2 months ago, we noticed a change in food quality. The pizza sauce is now very sweet, the chicken dry, and the chicken wrap tasted like it had a much lower quality hot sauce added. I inquired if there had been a chef change, but did not receive an answer. We are so dissappointed. read more

Third time here, we keep expecting more, but the food quality every time is mediocre to poor. Tonight the Wings might be the worst I've ever had, dried out, skinny...I didn't finish them, and my late teen son who typically will eat anything and everything, didn't finish what was left from the 10 wing order. Left 3 on the table. Salmon that my wife had on her salad was fair. Nachos we're pretty good. Beer was good, but that takes no skill. Time before, my wife and I had calamari which was over seasoned, and some kind of salad with a protein- don't remember which one, but both were disappointing. First time I was there was unmemorable and disappointing, honestly don't recall what either of us had, but we didn't finish it, chalked it up to a bad early experience shortly after the restaurant had opened. The facility interior is small, low ceiling, white ceiling- some what confining. Decor is fair and uninspiring. I don't understand why people wait in line to get in. Sweetwaters has much better food, decor a little better, and much shorter wait. I don't think I have ever been disappointed there. read more

Water main break in Rock Hill so we headed to the nearest town with restaurants open. So glad we came here. Great food! The calamari was amazing! We husband and I each got salads- mine with boom boom shrimp and his grilled chicken Cesar- delicious! Our waitress suggested dessert, which would normally pass on, but she talked about deep fried Oreos. OMG - not your your county fair fried Oreos. They were to "die for". I was so excited that Lake Wylie had a new food establishment but the excitement has been short lived. The food was really good on my first visit but the second visit my married daughter got the waffles and chicken. The waffles were not cooked through. The very nice waitress took her plate and when it came back the waffles were good but the chicken was so over cooked you couldn't eat it. The problem was that the waitress who apologized went to tell the owner (wife). She walked by our table and never said word one. When the waitress came back with our bill nothing more was said. Very disappointed in the management. Service and food quality should be foremost in a successful restaurant. read more

My office and I went here for lunch to celebrate my boss' birthday. Her family loves this place and we can see why. The decor is masculine and warm. They have an inviting patio and the wait staff were pleasant. Big plus for their menu variety. From fish tacos, wings, salads, pizza, burgers and steaks-something for everyone. The redneck egg rolls are yummy and light despite a fried appetizer. Me likey. Lol. A few co-workers were displeased about price point and lack of side for 2 tacos. Also, we would recommend a platter option for those who like to graze/ enjoy a little of everything. Cannot speak for the drinks, but may can on a future visit. A kiddie tip: bring crayons/something for the kids. They have kids menus though. :) read more

I have eaten at this establishment several times. I usually get the mahi mahi tacos which are fairly good. I have also gotten the 'chicken and waffles' which were acceptable. My wife (a chef) and I came in last week and ordered the 'protein salad' and 'boom boom shrimp'. The 'boom boom shimp' were of acceptable flavor but small -- approx 6 shrimp were included in the dish - and the price of almost $10 was NOT consistent with quality - quantity. The shrimp were clearly farm raised in flavor profile. Do yourself a favor and skip the 'boom boom shrimp' and try Papa Doc's variation thereof down the road. Then, the salad arrived. We immediately noted that the salad lacked TWO KEY INGREDIENTS - avocado and egg. In addition, the salmon was NOT medium well done despite the waitress asking how we would like the salmon cooked. The salad lacked flavor, consistency, and texture. The salmon was overcooked. The chicken was fully cooked but lacked flavor. We expressed our concerns to the waitress who seemed disinterested. I would not have written this negative review if the waitress had addressed our concerns constructively and management had provided some accommodation for our critique. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. IF THIS ESTABLISHMENT CONTINUES TO MISS THE MARK, sales will surely suffer. read more

We went on a Saturday night and we were seated right away (family of 4). After 20 minutes of sitting there watching every waiter walk by I saw the manager and asked what I had to do to get a server. He apologized and said appetizers were in him. A couple minutes later we finally got a server. She took our drink order and we told he we wanted to go ahead and order (god knows when the next time we would see her would be) so all of our food came out except my daughters food. The server said "oh they forgot to cook that" so now 3 of us all have our food and she had to wait. No way I can eat if my kid has nothing. Her food finally got there and guess what? They forgot her fries. Geez I will tell you this place is pricy but the food is really good. I'm serious it's really good. I had fish and chips and the fish is covered in corn flakes. My daughter had chicken in waffles and it was very good. My wife had the nachos which were epic. Omg the chips are homemade and wow. I could eat a bag of those. This place has great food. High quality ingredients. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. They play great music and the ambiance fits the setting. I imagine it would be a great place to watch football or another sporting event. The restrooms were clean and well stocked which is important to most diners. We have eaten here a few times, mostly as we are meeting folks there. The food is decent, but often missing key ingredients like the bacon on the BLT, or the cheese on a cheeseburger! Both of those things happened. Portions are decent sized and prices are reasonable. The wait staff are friendly but not very well trained and as noted above, kitchen staff may not be either. If they can get their staff up to par, I will reevaluate. read more

I've been to Copper premium pub 3 times now, twice for dinner & once for lunch. Great experiences each time. Yes, sometimes you have to wait a little while & they do run out of certain (popular) menu items.. but they're a new restaurant & they're still working out the kinks.. if you don't want that- you probably shouldn't go to a new restaurant anyways! & you can tell their food is fresh, running out of things is a good sign people. We have been several times now. All of the food is awesome! We've ordered the fried green tomatoes, and the red neck egg rolls for appetizers. Both are favorites. We've had their wings and loved them as well. Most recently, I chose this place for my birthday dinner - this is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. They offer nothing for your birthday. Many places nowadays will offer you a free dessert or appetizer if you show them it is your birthday. I really wanted to try a dessert this time - but it was a no go. I feel if the birthday girl chooses your place for dinner - and brings guests (who will most likely be return guests) then you should "thank" her with a little something. For the birthday dinner, we decided to be "big spenders" and ordered steaks. I chose the 6oz filet and the hubby had black and bleu ribeye. The steaks were wonderful! But here is the negative - they come with one side. If you would like to add a salad it costs $2. If you would like an additional side, it costs $3.50. The side portion is HUGE. So I feel management should offer 2 sides at half the portion size. If it weren't for these 2 disappointments during my birthday dinner I would have given 5 stars. Honestly though, you will NOT be disappointed in the food - give them a try! read more
