My husband and I stopped here one night on our way back to Charlotte. The service was really friendly and prices were reasonable. It was nothing more than typical pub food, though, in both variety and quality. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as you know what to expect, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. I can honestly say the management here cares about your experience. It's a great one too with the finest beer selections in Lake Wylie. My favorite spot in the Great Charlotte area. Valentine's dinner was as good as it gets! Delicious she crab soup and huge shrimp in the shrimp cocktail, fantastic pork tenderloin and apple stuffing entree, but the big winner was the chocolate mousse dessert. This was one of the best desserts I've ever had: decadent fluffy chocolate mousse in a caramel lace cookie, topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. I think I died and went to heaven. Great food and even better service! We were a party of seven on a busy night, but I expect they are always busy, and our server Kirsten was fabulous. She took the time to give us a complete rundown of the menu, was on top of refills and all our needs, and was smiling and friendly from beginning to end. Thank you Kirsten!!! I frequent the Lake Wylie area and love this spot. It's nice to stop in and try out a new beer and a quick bite to eat. Lake Wylie is growing and this place fits the sports bar-esque staple that every town needs. We went last weekend while it was really hot outside and still found the patio area nice and cool. I tried the Cialis Burger with sweet potato fries and was very happy with my decision. These were probably some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had - perfectly crisp on the outside. I've never really been a huge fan of the fried egg on a burger fad but this was really good and kept me filled up for quite some time afterwards. We also had the fish wrap which was good but forgettable. The only gripe from us was with the wrap. The liquid off the fish and slaw saturated the wrap itself and made it difficult to eat about halfway through as it kept falling apart. Bottom line though: Great spot to grab a brew and bite for lunch! read more

Welcoming atmosphere and all employees were very nice, we visited around 2PM. First time there and waitress took plenty time to explain food and bar service. Restaurant interior and restrooms were clean and tidy however only cold water to wash hands. Food and service were both good and would definitely plan to return. This is my second visit to Copper Premium Pub. I chose this location for Easter Sunday Brunch. For this visit I decided to try the Shrimp & Grits which is one of the few, if not the only breakfast entree on the menu. Put simply and succinctly the dish is EXCELLENT. The flavors, textures and ratio of shrimp to grits , ham and other ingredients is right on point. I'm not sure if this is a "signature dish" of this restaurant but it certainly should be. I love this place but it seems to be slipping downhill. So sad. Food was great at first, now it's just OK. Meatloaf sandwich at lunch today was slightly warm, microwaved, and featured raw onions rather than sautéed onions. Dollop of mustard not even spread out on the bread. Hubby's daily special of "grilled cheese cheeseburger" was a pile of white toast with fake cheese. The kind of cheese sold in slices for kid's meals. Come on Copper, at least use real cheese. Presentation is another problem. Appetite is visual. I watched plate after plate coming out with a brown sandwich and brown fries or chips on a white plate. No color. It looked so bland. Please add some color. A sprig of parsley, a lettuce leaf, whatever. read more

WOW! This is a spectacular place for good food served in a friendly atmosphere. The wait staff is SPOT ON! Lacy always smiled and made sure I had what I needed to enjoy my night on the patio with the live music. When the rain came Gretchen jumped in to help the musicians stay dry. Lake Wylie has been short on good restaurants so we were happy to have Copper come to town. The place is always packed, which is a sign the place does a good job. They have indoor and outdoor seating , a great atmosphere, good selection of food and drink. Stop by for a good meal. read more

We stopped here for lunch while down south visiting my in-laws and so far it is the best food we've had down here. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich and I had the chicken n' waffles. Both were amazing. My husband keeps raving about the sandwich and the Brussels sprouts; and can't wait to go back to try something else. The wait staff was super friendly, service was prompt and great and the bathrooms were really clean. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely go back!! read more

I appreciate the response from Fred, but it doesn't address the issues I raised. Kevin asked us a question, ignored our response, and proceeded to talk about things that had nothing to do with food or ingredient quality - and did so in a manner that communicated that we should be appreciating the privilege of dining there. That menu item was far from a good value, and Fred's written response, however polite, also exudes that the restaurant really isn't interested in taking care of the customer - which is consistent with what we've heard about the owner. So, we take Fred's apology and response as nothing more than lip-service. We've talked with several people new to the area who've eaten there and won't go back. The food was great. I didn't enjoy the tomato and cucumber salad so much but the wings were crispy and flavorful. The customer service was excellent. Greeted upon entering with a smile. Seating is barstools up in the front area and a nice patio seating outside. I do recommend the establishment for couples but not sure about kids. It's more of a sports place to eat. Nice place tucked in the heart of lake wylie. I have been to this place plenty of times and it's family friendly and also a nice spot to have a girls night or date night out. The menu has several different options, which is refreshing because there isn't much in Lake wylie besides the basic food. So it's a culinary experience in itself. Also the beer..craft beer selection is impressive. Always great choices on tap. The service isn't always great but that's to be expected when the place is packed out so I don't hold it against them bc the wait staff is always super friendly and attentive when they get to your table.
