Such a cute, homey little spot! My friend and I found this place while driving through Basking Ridge, NJ. It's the perfect spot to stop and grab something quick. The front is adorably decorated with tons of beautiful flowers and outdoor seating. Inside, it is clean and well-kept, with a lot of seating as well. They offer everything (breakfast, brunch, lunch) and the menu is written on a large blackboard on one of their walls. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially one waiter who was working on 9/7/2019. He couldn't have been sweeter! I ordered a balsamic chicken wrap. The wrap wasn't tightly made so it did fall apart, but the ingredients were very fresh so I didn't mind. We came back a second day because it was so good! Get the French fries. They are wonderful. I stopped here with a group of cyclists right before 1:00 on Easter Sunday. I think they were getting ready to close early, but they served up some delicious chicken soup. Others in the group got French fries and they were terrific. Big, fresh, hot. Their tarragon chicken salad is Sri tasty. It has fabulously bitter Belgian endive, arugula and radicchio that ate always fresh. The scoop of chicken salad is flavored with fresh tarragon and raisins. The portion is generous and the salad is so delicious. Being new to the area, I didn't realize I was a stone's throw away from a very quaint, cozy downtown BR. Lot's of shops and small restaurants. Mostly casual but a few a bit more dressy. I stopped in here on a Yelp review recommendation. A few tables on the inside but when the weather gets nice a patio for outside dining. Menu is your typical deli style. Decided to go with the roast beef. A few people before me ordered Cheesesteaks so I unsure if that's one of their staples. I was disappointed with the sandwich. Yes, it was big. It had "enough" rb but it was dry and had that "a few days old" taste to it. Kind of like the one you buy in the grocery store and bring home and a few days later you make a sandwich out of...it was kind of bland too. I am not saying it was terrible but it wasn't the best. They were skimpy on the mayo and vinegar. Their macaroni salad was good. Not a big selection on chips. You can order fries though (menu told me so). I will try it again but maybe opt with the cheesesteak or something hot...oh and their prices were on par and not overly expensive. read more

We biked here today. Was the perfect place to stop for lunch. They have outdoor seating on their porch that wraps around the building. All of the ingredients were very fresh. My boyfriend's chicken was seasoned perfectly and my turkey tasted like it was freshly roasted and sliced. Sandwiches come with chips and a pickle. My sub was huge. I ended up having to wrap up half of it. They also had a bunch of specials which sounded very good including a philly cheese steak and some sort of turkey panini. I called the day before to request delivery for my bridal party getting ready on my wedding day. It was a little pricy, but well worth it. They got my order exactly right and made two stops. One to bring bagels with jelly, butter, and cream cheese. The second with an assortment of sandwiches. The sandwiches were delicious! So many different types and all perfect with unique sauced and flavors. They brought a large amount on a big platter and were on time. And they cut them into smaller pieces for us to share. My only complaint was that they didn't bring paper plates or napkins for us. Otherwise, great experience and I would definitely recommend for delivery or catering. read more

The service is good but as many other reviews point out it does get busy at lunch time. Most people go here for breakfast or lunch, at which times the fare is good deli food. The organic yogurt with fresh fruit is a treat, and the lunch salads are very good. The unexpected surprise is dinner. Marco, the owner, is an excellent chef and can often be persuaded to make you something special. But get there early as he doesn't stay open late for dinner. I stopped in here for lunch with my wife the other day. It's a classic deli in "downtown" Basking Ridge. Like I said, we came at lunch and the place was pretty packed and a bunch of others came in to get take-out. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to your table. I ordered an italian sub and my wife had the kettle wrap. The food was served very quickly. My sub was good - fresh bread, decent amount of meat and fresh toppings. My wife's wrap was decent - I liked my sub more. They also have a ton of different drinks but not a great chip selection (although they do serve a handful of plain chips with your sandwich). All in all, it was an enjoyable lunch and I am sure that we will head back. read more

Don't let the counter-order/self-serve coffee station fool you, they make great food here. My girlfriend and I were here hunting for food while enjoying a wedding weekend. We found this restaurant since the restaurant down the street was full up. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and accommodating. Came here with a work colleague on my first visit to Basking Ridge. A very quaint spot in the old town portion of the town. Staff is foreign (and therefore speak with harsh accents), but very attentative and able. The cook can make a mean Rueben sandwich and the coffee machines are heavenly. read more

Copper Kettle is my go-to place for lunch since I work in town. The food is always fresh, delicious, and quickly prepared with also great presentation. Marco and Fernando are great, funny people who will provide you with a delicious lunch made-to-order. The inside is always very clean and doesn't look dated. They play great light music. The real treat though is when the weather is nice and you can sit out on the patio, enjoying the hustle and bustle of Basking Ridge drive by with the beautiful flower gardens in view as well. Randomly found this place by looking for restaurants near my work area. This place popped up, I checked out the reviews and looked at the menu figured I had to check it out. It's a good place to take the family on the weekends when you don't want to sit down at a restaurant and wait to be served. The food is what you'd expect from a deli type of restaurant. Enjoyable but not excellent. My wife really likes to sit at the tables out front near all the flowers. The only problem I have with the place is that they want people to pay for their food on the way out. Even when I try to pay at the time I order, they tell me to wait to pay. The problem is that you wait in line to order, sit down and eat, and then you have to wait in the same line as people ordering food to pay. When they're not busy, it's no big deal. However, when they are packed, it is annoying. We had some friends from out of town and took them here to eat and they liked everything they ordered but we ended up waiting in line for almost 20 minutes to pay because there was a lunch rush. Plus: They have about 5 specials that change daily and are almost always tasty and interesting in addition to a regular menu. I've had some really great meals here, both with specials and regular menu items. Some memorable specials were korean tacos with corn on the cob and salsa, crabcake burger with fries, seafood salad on lettuce with pita bread. On the regular menu I like their chicken shwarma and chicken tenders. Minus: For some reason, the quality of their french fries is really inconsistent. I've had orders where the fries were dark brown and some where they were barely cooked. The middle ground seems hard for them to hit. The main dishes themselves have always been fine, it's just the fries. The inside of the store is fairly dingy--it's clean but quite old, and it shows-- but that's made up for by the beautiful outdoor seating. read more

Porch seating is nice in the fall. The food is ok (italian sub and grilled chicken wrap) but nothing special. Used to be pet-friendly but now they yell at you for having your dog on the deck. I've tried many veggie burgers, but i have to say Copper Kettle has one of the best veggie burgers i've had. Of course, i can never stop with just that - add the fries and you'll be hooked! Best time to eat there is on a great weather day and sit outside on the porch - go a little earlier to avoid the office lunch crowd. Closed the grill to us before closing time, so only cold sandwiches were available, even though they were still serving others hot food. Then, after we ordered and paid, they made us leave because we had our puppy with us -- it was an outdoor seating area. We had to sit in the gutter and eat or eat in our car. This was my first time in since the change of ownership or whatever it was. We ordered pancakes and an Omelette. The pancakes were burned. The bacon and cheese omelette was quite bad. The eggs were runny and the bacon appeared to be frozen bacon bits of some sort. I will not be going back for another try. read more

my boyfriend, his brother, and i went out to breakfast here. my boyfriends "wrap that he ordered" came out on a roll. after he sent it back it came back looking like they took the stuff out of the roll and tried to wrap it but failed because the wrap was falling apart. the turkey bacon on his wrap was under cooked and the food was inconsistent. i ordered french toast which came out super doughy and just didn't taste good at all i had 2 bites then left even tho our order with another bacon egg and cheese was $40. not a very good deli. not coming back read more
