We are here two times while we were in Montreal, and I don't typically go to the same restaurant more than once in a given trip. The food was fresh, hearty, and delicious. The dishes we ordered were the General Copper Bowl, Shiitake Teriyaki Burger, Tempeh Bacon and Just Egg Bagel, and the Avocado Toast breakfast deal which included coffee and two hash brown patties. The "meat" in the copper bowl was fantastic--just the right amount of chew to make you wonder if what you're eating is really made from plants. I stopped by for a warm beverage and ordered a Chai almond latte. I like Copper Branch for their plant-based menu and gluten-free options. Their power bowls are generous in portion. With a choice of base and protein, plus the quantity of beans and chickpeas that comes in the bowl, it's too much protein for me, which makes it difficult to finish in one meal. I like this location which is located in the middle of downtown. This became one of my favorite place to go after shopping in the area. read more

A bit too chain-y. And quite expensive at that. But it was nice and clean inside. My burger was good. The mushroom galaxy burger. The name talks a big game but unfortunately, it didn't really stand out, nor match it's description. The vegan cheese tasted very weird, like too much salt and a bit gooey. I have high standards for vegan cheese and one thing that grinds my gears is a off-taste vegan cheese that throws off an entire dish. The potatoes were lukewarm but otherwise sufficient. The poutine came with diced potatoes instead of french fries which felt a little left field, and the gravy didn't taste that great either. At one point I was picking the potatoes with the least gravy on them with my fork. Sad. The sandwich was the best dish. Bacon maple tempeh sandwich. It was actually delicious but a little light handed with all the ingredients. My general consensus of my experience here is that it sold itself really well as well thought out and well executed dishes, but in reality was just fast food and a bit sloppy. 100% vegetarian place near McGill! I wish I knew about this place while I was a student. They have really great salads called Power Bowls. My favourite Power Bowl so far is the Mediterranio with sun dried tomatoes, green peppers, chia seeds, eggplant, zucchini, sweet potato, chickpeas, broccoli, beets, mung beans, and carrot on a bed of lettuce. For protein we chose smoked tofu cubes which was amazing. I love literally every single thing they include. Sadly, I don't have a picture of it :(. We went another time and ordered Aristotle, which includes sweet potato, spinach hummus, bruschetta, black olives, hemp seeds, broccoli, beets, carrots, chickpeas, mung beans on top of noodles. For protein, we chose carrot keftedes, which were like falafels but with carrots. This was good too, but I'd rather order Mediterranio when I go back. We also ordered two burgers: Mushroom Galaxy Burger and Spicy Black Bean Burger. The mushroom one is a giant chewy, juicy portobello mushroom with eggplant, caramelized onions, "cheese", lettuce and aioli sauce. Black bean burger was with a patty made of black beans, sweet potato, rice, and few other ingredients. The food itself is really, really good and if I were a vegetarian I'd want to eat this everyday. However, the prices are bit steep. With tax it comes to around $10 for just a burger. Maybe not worth the money to try more than once, at least for me. Next time I really want to try their wings, I'm curious what vegetarian-style wings would taste like. The first time I came by, the service was really nice. The cashier was very friendly and made small talk about Harry Potter :). The workers always seem to have smiles on their faces. Good atmosphere. read more

The bowls are insanely delicious! I've tried the general Copper last time but my favorite remains the Aztec bowl (with guacamole, nachos, beans, etc). The prices can be pretty steep as I remember paying around 14$ for one bowl. It's fun for a one time lunch, but wouldn't go back on the regular. read more

However, i always really enjoy the food here. The bowls are flavourful and healthy, the protein options are all interesting and well prepared. The burgers and sandwiches can be a bit heavy but also have great flavour,and you can get a greens wrap instead of bread which is s great idea. I have tried almost everything on the menu and enjoyed it all! Its not ground breaking veggie food in any way, but if you want something nice, quick and relatively healthy, i would recommend it ! read more

The bowl was a beautiful mix of Sweet potato, corn & mango salsa, black beans, pumpkin seeds, guacamole, vegan sour cream, chickpeas, broccoli, beets, turnip, lettuce, and finally sprouted mung beans. We supplemented our meals with a Copper Branch Fuel, a divine organic cold-pressed juice, made with carrot, celery, lettuce, lemon and ginger. A little on the spicy side it was a pleasant addition to our meal. We also sampled the Blue Sky soda, a natural soda made with sugar cane. Great when you crave something sweet. I visited this place for lunch at the Robert Bourassa street. Tried their salad meal. It was good but nothing unusual. It is a good place for a veggie but not offers much belonged salads and usual sandwiches. I liked the smoothies offered by them though, with unusual names. Tried the budhdha smoothie and liked it. The owner is an awful person. He screamed at a friend telling her: "Go back to your country" because she accidentally let her tray in the wrong place. Was super excited to try out this place, as it was close to our hotel and seemed like an innovative vegan fast-food type place. I ordered the tofu scramble breakfast sandwich, which was the type of food that doesn't taste vegan (or healthy!) at all but actually had very clean ingredients (I liked how the website listed the ingredients and nutrition of all the items on the menu). The sauce in particular was really good. My mom got the smoothie bowl, which seemed to be lacking some toppings and was poorly presented, but also tasted very good. She also got a coffee, which the staff forgot about but quickly got when we reminded them. Service wasn't great, but the food was, so I would probably go back here and try a few other things. read more

I'm sorry to say this because I love that there's only vegan restaurants in Montreal, but the food really isn't that good at Copper Branch, plus it's over priced in my opinion for a no waiter service. I've went to a lot of different vegan restaurants and I'm sorry to say I wouldn't recommend Copper Branch so far. If you're looking for a restaurant with nice vegan food in Montreal I would really recommend either one of the four Lola Rosa (vegetarian but lots of vegan options) or Invitation V, which I've had excellent food at before! read more

Do not eat here at lunch - it's just too busy and too small to accommodate a lineup. The staff seems to get very overwhelmed if there are too many orders placed. I waited over 25 minutes today for the wrong order. Very disappointed when I got back to my desk - and a half-full box at that (which had happened before). I love the food here though, and it's a nice veggie option to have downtown. The scrambled tofu on the Aztec bowl is a great pick. Advice: eat here, in-house (where they are likely to fill up your bowl to a visibly reasonable amount) - and avoid lunchtime lineups! read more

This was an ok breakfast place. I ordered the quinoa breakfast bowl, which was a bit too sweet. The fruit topping was clearly not fresh and appeared to have been warmed in a microwave (presumably from frozen). However, the meal was filling and overall the flavor and texture was ok. Good vegan food, which can be hard to come by: I really enjoy the teriyaki burger when they don't leave the avocado peel on the avocado that comes as an extra. Service is poor: there's a manager-type who seems to frequently have to take over for other staff who are kind of lacking in customer service skills. It's not cheap either, but given the nutritional value, that's all right by me. read more

Worst service I've had in terms of delivery and the person responsible did not deal with me well, to say the least... If you're going to go here, do not use delivery, pick it up yourself... This is the third and last time I will go to this Copper Branch. Two out of three times customer service has been a DISASTER. The two people working the cash (one man, one woman, and the same ones both times) are incredibly rude. The second time I went, I ordered a sandwhich and specified no cheese. The sandwhich then came to me with cheese. I went up and asked if they could make me a new one and they insisted they could not because that's how it comes. I then showed them the receipt explaining that I specifically asked for it not to have cheese. They then made me a new sandwhich but proceeded to keep the original bun with the fake cheese. I went up to them again and showed them it was the same sandwhich. At first, they insisted it was different but I persisted and showed them how the bread had a lot of the cheese on it so they finally made me a new one. The third time I went, I asked for two bowls. the girl asked if I wanted the regular, to which I answered yes, without realizing that in fact their "regular" is large. When I was paying, I was wondering why my bill was so expensive. After hitting "pay" I realized it is because I got the bigger bowls. So I right away asked if it is possible to change it. The man answered me it was not because it is lunch and very busy (the order hadn't even gone through and there was no one in line behind me). I explained that the girl did not make it clear that the regular was the big size. The man said she is a manager and I heard her say it and too bad they can't do anything. There was someone else in the restaurant who came up to me after the fact and told me she heard everything and she was shocked at how rude they were to me and even went up to them to tell them. They didn't care. While the food is good at Copper Branch I cannot accept this sort of customer service. It is one thing to nicely say that the order went through and nothing could be changed (that's fine); it is another to be rude to paying customers. I told them I wouldn't be back and he basically told me OK. Well, Copper Branch, if you don't care about my frequenting your restaurant, no problem. I am grossly disappointed and hope your terrible customer service is reflected in your revenues. read more
