I had interviewed numerous companies and roofers over a few years but only Copp gave me the peace of mind (A+ BBB rating, insured, bonded, Contractor's License, photos of completed jobs) I was after. I regularly spoke with Connor about the job, who answered all my questions and concerns and sent over several proposals while I decided on the best option. My house had 3 layers of shingle going back to 1941 that needed to be demoed (meant adding the additional slats, plywood, moisture barrier, drip edge flashing, any vents, HVAC flashing sealant etc.) so it was a big re-roof. But they nailed it (no pun intended)! Connor always responds and always answers any questions right away. They even removed and re-attached my gutters and cleaned them! Contacted Copp to have a small residential roofing repair done. The wind blew off shingles on the garage in an area about 4 feet by 6 feet. Copp gave an estimate based on pictures that I sent the estimator. The estimate came back at $1100. I agreed to the estimate, expecting that the invoice would reflect actual time and materials. The roofer was able to access the repair area by ladder to an adjacent roof area. He did not need to climb or use a safety tether. He used a partial bundle of shingles to accomplish the repair in under one hour. The repair appears to be competently done. Copp invoiced me for the full original estimate. The Copp office is about 30 minutes from the repair site. Time on site and travel time would be between 2 and 3 hours. If billing were done at $200 per hour, time would be between $400 and $600. A bundle of shingles retails for $50. I believe that I have been substantially overcharged. I would have done the repair myself 15 years ago at age 60, or if it was summer, not winter. Finally, the office staff and roofer all were pleasant. My complaint is solely that I believe I have been overcharged. read more

Contracted Copp for a large construction project to replace flooring, windows, doors and exterior siding. Poor craftsmanship has resulted in floor boards lifting, trim work was extremely unprofessional and exterior siding was not installed correctly and is lifting away from house after only one month "job complete". Highly recommend not hiring Copp for construction work. I now have to hire another contractor to fix all their work. read more

Everyone from the owner, Barbie, to Ryan who sent out the individual who looked at my damage, took pictures and put together the repair estimate and Ryan followed up with me via phone call to see if I was satisfied with the work that was done. Speaking of the work that was done, Chris came out but determined the fascia color was not correct, he then contacted the vender and was given the information necessary to paint the Aluminum cap material to match my existing material on the eave fascia. He kept me informed on what was going on and returned the next day to complete the work. The fascia matched perfectly. It was a pleasure working with everyone involved to get my repair work done. I hired them last year to do a roof tuneup in Lake Arrowhead for $650 consisting of "SOW: Clear roof of all debris including leaves, pine needles, etc, reseal and repaint of all pipes and penetration flashings, check roof for any problems and/or wear, provide any recommendations & additional quotes as needed".They arrived 6 hours late as I waited to show them my concerns. They spent exactly 14" on my roof which would not have allowed for this scope of work. $650 for 14" and no materials! First I was just blown off by Conner Keith when I explained my concerns. Then I paid online and included the owner Barbie on my email explaining my concerns and dissatisfaction. Subsequently I was contacted by Nick who apologized and said he would personally meet me at the property with a Foreman to review and redo the service. He said scheduling would call me with a date the following week. Guess what? Nobody ever called or followed up. No response to my emails. The sad thing is I tentatively wanted to hire them for a new roof this spring for $28K and repairs to my balcony for $8K. I guess the silver lining is they showed their true colors before I was in for more serious money. This used to be a good company before George retired. BEWARE!!! read more

So Copp Roofing...I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECCOMEND THEM! Excellent customer service, excellent communication, excellent work, went above and beyond every chance they had! And no, I had never even met them in person. Everything was done over the phone/email, no joke. They even text! I'm telling you, it was the easiest house upgrade I've ever had done. Did I mention their warranty, on this particular roof line, is EXTREMELY LONG!! I am beyond picky and am not ever confident in any ones work, because it's usually crap and I would end up having to argue to get whatever it was corrected. BUT NOT WITH COPP ROOFING! 100% Easy Peasy and I'm so grateful it was! I wanted to add...I'm in Big Bear and I REALLY wanted a Green Roof. Turns out the manufacturer discontinued this color...couldn't believe it! I was SUPER bummed. Connor, who was the only person I was in contact with (which I loved that it was one person-less confusion) went above and beyond to find it for me and guess what?!?! He found the last of it in Reno and had it shipped down! I was beyond elated as I was sure there was none left. Woohoo! Super Scored! 2 more rad things...in the pictures look at the little roof. I completely forgot I had that little roof that covers the meter and I never talked to Connor about it. When I came up after the job was complete, I was so surprised that they roofed the cute little roof! The second rad thing is the pipes that stick out of the roof, THEY PAINTED THEM! What the heck?! They painted them to match the roof too! Check out the pics. I was genuinely surprised they were so thoughtful to March that...like shocked haha! He never even mentioned/bragged that they did either of those things for me, which is such a cool and humble thing! I immediately contacted him to thank him for their awesomeness of course, as well as my pleasant surprise! I purchased a cabin a few years ago who had a roof installed already by COPP roofing. I had an issue with a portion of the roofing sliding off. I contacted Barbie at COPP roofing who helped me out immensely. I filed a warranty claim which was ultimately denied. COPP came out and replaced the portion of the roof that was sliding off. Just got my roof done. I went through SunRun for solar but needed a roof before they installed the panels. There were hiccups, and it took forever Thanks 'rona! But it looks nice. I have cracks in my drywall which they warned about but is much worse than I anticipated. Further the roof windows didn't exactly fit-to be expected, but is just more work for me-not their fault. Copp Roofing was called to fix 2 leaks. As the property is a rental, I was not present at the time of the repair. After the rains came in winter of 2019, I found that my house still leaked. There was water damage in 2 bedrooms. I promptly called the owner Barbara Copp and she apologized for the leaks and said they would be repaired. A worker came to the property and promised me that both leaks would be repaired. Weeks later, when I had time to be at the property to make sure the roofing leaks would be repaired, I spoke to their sales rep Nick Malta who gave me continual phone run arounds. Complete turnaround from what Barbara Copp promised me. After fully paying Copp Roofing for the job, I asked for a refund, as both leaks were not repaired. The job was not done! Via Nick Malta, Copp Roofing then told me that they had repaired the roof and they HAD NO GUARANTEES WHATSOEVER to repairing leaks. I said what? I had to hire another company to get an inspection as to uncover the source of the leak. Well, they were the ones to inspect my roof in the first place and told me they were going to do to fix the leak. I wasted countless emails with them. Now I am going to have to waste time with bringing them to court with evidence of emails and pictures. I have dealt with many roofing companies and COPP ROOFING has proven to be deceptive and lacking integrity. Tesla chose them as a subcontractor for our solar roof. They were supposed to prep the roof for installation of solar tiles. They literally covered broken wood with plywood. On the second day, they cut our our cable/internet and didn't say anything. Then the next day they put a hole through our AC. On Wednesday we were told everything was done and ready. I did a walk around and started asking questions about things that appeared to be wrong. The supervisor said they would fix our concerns. On Thursday I get a call from Tesla stating that Copp is requesting 30% more money. How do you go from the roof is ready to go, to we need more money? Why should I pay for your mistakes?! I would never choose this contractor. Unfortunately this was not my choice. I'm scared to have them come back to fix it. They will probably make things worse. THIS COMPANY HAS ZERO INTEGRITY! I had a roof leak only in the porch area, which was surprising because my house was built in 2009. Nick was excellent. He climbed up there and noted that the porch area was built with staples instead of nails. He was able to replace the porch area only, which was a huge savings. He was concerned that the materials might not match, due to age and new products, however, I honestly can not see any difference. Gave me an estimate for roofing and was several thousand dollars under other bids. After paying deposit and day before demo I read the estimate costs. I was replacing wood shake for composite. Saw there was no amount for plywood. I called and they said it was a drive by estimate and they didn't realize there wasn't plywood under a wood shake roof. (Have not heard of shake having plywood.). They said it was several more thousand dollars for the wood. They were going to tear my roof off and then stick me with several more thousand dollars in cost which I would have had to pay since I wouldn't have a rood. Either lazy work on the estimate or shady business practices. read more

Copp Roofing was contacted to investigate and fix, but they also had to finish in less than 2 weeks before we close. A few months ago I went shopping for a new roof, as I was in dire need of replacing the 58 year old roof on my house. Snow and rain are rare in southern California, except in the mountains where it's basically expected. After meeting with a few roofers, I selected to go with Copp Roofing and I'm glad that I did. Buying a roof is never glamorous or fun, it's something many of us take for granted -- something to keep the outside out and the heat in. I selected a fairly basic roofing package, and this was the first roof that I ever needed to buy so I had much to learn. Barbie walked through the process with me in their showroom, and guided me on some options and helped me decide what would be best for me. I had a leaking roof and very difficult to have somebody come and fix it in this area. The roof was not that old but placed by people from down the hill who are not familiar with the harsh storms up the mountain. I contacted several roof companies, and I was quite surprised with the professionalism of Copp Roofing from the beginning. I called Copp roofing and construction a month ago, they were supposed to send someone out, and after a few weeks I called them again. They finally sent someone out after a few weeks and then she proceeded to tell me that they would have my quote by Friday, now this was on Tuesday, so I called them back on Monday and left a message, no one returned my phone call. Just horrible. The charge $650 for a "roof inspection." The inspection only lasts Max 30 minutes, they don't take photos and they don't take measurements. And they only provide 2 page report. They don't get on the roof to inspect. Call TM roofing or John Simmons instead. Response to Barbie on 9-28-22: Hi Barbie, we didn't have an issue with the $650 fee. We had an issue with the poor customer service, casual attitude and unwillingness to produce the report, even after we paid and attended the inspection. Here are further details of my interaction with your staff: We had the appointment scheduled for a Tuesday, I think. I received at least 3 calls the week prior telling me they could "squeeze me in" between appointments. Then, the young man who showed up told me immediately that it would be a quick inspection, just as he had mentioned on the phone. "It won't take very long he said." Before he even introduced himself, he told me that he won't be going on the roof. This was surprising to me and the group that was with me. He didn't bring any tools or a ladder, so he truly had no intention of going on the roof or measuring anything. He didn't even take any photos on his phone. He claimed that he didn't know the home had an attic or a detached garage (and almost didn't inspect them) when I emailed him a few times the details of the homes and what we were looking for. I was very concerned about the quality of the report, so I emailed him explaining how important this was to us. Imagine my surprise when we received a REFUND of our $650 fee. HOURS later, we received an explanation after I had to call and speak to a very arrogant man who said "We are not doing the report because I don't want to." Wow, really? Because I asked for a good report he cancelled the order, after we paid and after the inspection was complete. In that moment, your inspector and his manager did not care about our situation. Well, now all of the public can read about it and be their own judge. Lake Arrowhead is a tiny community for Copp staff to be treating it so badly. And for you to charge $650 for an inspection (that is more than general inspectors who are certified and provide 60+ page reports) - when you have no intention of spending more than 30 minutes at the home, take no photos or measurements and provide a two-page report - in my opinion - you are ripping people off. read more

Copp Roofing installed a high quality roof with an excellent guarantee. Their staff were wonderful to work with. Their installers were professional, on time, and did a great job. They also installed four skylights that are made for the heavy snow loads that mountain roofs must withstand. The installers framed the skylights beautifully (see photo). The skylights have transformed my kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. My rooms are full of light and I look up and see bright blue sky and soaring pine trees. I can't say enough how happy we are with the work Copp Roofing has done at our cabin In Cedarpines Park. We had a deck replaced and rebuilt even bigger. They also fixed some issues with the foundation due to erosion that required a rebuilding of a retaining wall. Our project manager was Nick Maltas and he was great. He was there every step of the way. He took all my calls and returned calls fast when he was out of the office. He made a big project go very smooth and took all the stress away that most homeowners get when doing upgrades.
