The food is extremely salty! It's delicious but be aware of that. We have always had a good time here.

This place is a meat eater's paradise. There is a good variety of meat types and ways the meat is prepared. My personal favorites are the cheese meats and the picanha. The available dips or garnishes like the chimichurri adds new taste profiles and offers even more meat and sauce combinations. I also particularly enjoyed the available sides - lasagna, mac and cheese, braised beef ribs cassava puree, etc. Grilled shrimp is served for some seafood variety, as well as grilled pineapple to wash away the palate opening up for more meat consumption. It would be best to arrive very early so as to get more frequent servings of the grilled meats when there are not yet too many tables around for the servers to rotate. We arrived at 6PM and for about the first half hour we were getting a good rate of table visits. It was very disappointing at around the 7PM mark when the place started filling in. I was finding myself always waiting to be attended to and seeing the servers skipping our table entirely. I had to call it out to the lady servers for our table to be visited and offered more food. Another thing is the performers. I am unsure about the daily schedule exactly, but my experience was that the 2 dancers came in around 7:15 and danced for about 5 to 10 mins. Not all of the tables at the patio area would have a good view of the dancers. The dancers would change to different dance spots around the restaurant and there would be certain perfect locations with a good view of the performance. Overall, I would say the whole experience was OK to good. It is too expensive for what it is. The All You Can Eat promise is only more applicable during the early part or during slow times where there is not much diners in. It becomes frustrating later on. I also expected more from the performers, either a longer number or multiple occasions of short performances. Lastly, during our dining time we experienced a few flies present and landing on our food. read more

We will not be returning as the price you pay is not worth the amount of meat you get. After an hour, all meat stopped being served to us. Despite numerous times where our server said she placed in orders for us to get more meat, we did not receive anything for an hour, except a shrimp and pineapple. Where's is the meat?? It was such an unpleasant experience as we were celebrating a birthday. Do not come here. read more

We came to Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse to celebrate my boyfriend's dad's birthday, and it was a night full of food and family vibes. The endless tableside-carved meats were all cooked medium-rare and incredibly tender especially the parmesan filet mignon was a standout, and the grilled pineapple was the perfect sweet balance that never disappoint. They also have shrimps, cornbread, and cheeseballs, but these didn't come around as often, so it's worth asking your server if you want to make sure you get some. Sides and appetizers are now ordered via QR code, which makes it way too easy to keep adding more to your table. Dessert option was slim with only gelato as your only option, but the texture wasn't exactly gelato but still a nice sweet finish to the meal. One small note: we were seated at the very beginning of the dining area, so every time the doors opened a cold draft came through, which made things slightly less comfortable, especially for his parents. Overall, the service was attentive, the atmosphere lively, and it was a memorable night celebrating family. Just be mindful of where you're seated and don't be shy to request the special items from your server. Yes the price may scare you off ($75-$80/ person) but the meats alone make it worth it. read more

We arrived and waited 10' to have reserved table ready. We sat and waited for food to be served almost 45' later and barely anyone came by our area. We ordered coke and were brought root beer and repeated twice. That would be our last time going to CopaCabana as we can have our money worth and appreciated at many other restaurants. read more

Sharing this review for my entire family. We booked a 14 person reservation with Copa after coming as a group of 2, and having a great experience about 5 months ago. So, when my family was looking for somewhere to gather for an early Father's Day connect. I quickly suggested Copa. So, disappointed in the entire experience and very embarrassed after how great I told my family it would be and everyone was extremely unhappy with the experience. You would think a group that large with the cost of this place would get some reasonable service, the entire staff literally overlooked our group. They would tell the kids they are coming back with things like pineapple that they were excited about and never came back. The management and servers should get a better flow and order to how the meats come out. The servers seem like they all forget where they stopped last and then they just never get around to some tables. There should be some kind of memory to what tables you went to before you ran out, and where to pick back up once you get back on the floor. $1400 for a dinner where all our men left hungry. We kept reminding the server that we had not seen any meat for over 30 minutes, and she said she would address it then the manager said the same, and still we were charged full price with 25% of the experience. Will never say positive words about Copa again. Complete waste of our time and money. No consideration from the staff. And after the hour were we had only 4 meats come to the table and the servers saying they can only give guests 2 small pieces of meat at a time, they started to again not appear then stop coming completely. I would dispute this charge that's how bad it is, as a person who happily spend over $300 on a meal for my self if the food and service is great. This was one of the most disappointing culinary experiences service and order wise I have ever encountered. Please do better read more

This place has phenomenal food but the icing on top was the customer service. First time coming and felt likely tipping everyone who assisted me. So much flavorful food was showing up, extremely quick service, I WILL BE BACK! Was not able to document all the food provided was too occupied trying to breathe after having my breathe taken away. Ambiance and music were also great. read more

Loved every bite! Consistent throughout the years! This is an ayce Brazilian Rodizio spot that has a variety of perfectly grilled meats on a skewer, sides and other specialties. Ladies night is on Wednesdays and is $50 per person, so we came with a large party to get this deal. At first, we were seated in a little nook to the right of the bar and it was such a weird vibe/ spacing as it's separate from the rest of the restaurant. However, they opened their covered patio section which we asked to move to. Service is okay in my opinion. There would be many times where our large party sat without any food being served to us. We also had to ask multiple times for the same cuts of meat to come to us, which it never did. However, the food quality has been very consistent throughout the years and it always hits the spot for me. Here some top rated items I got: Caesar salad - Creamy, crunchy lettuce with wonton chips instead of croutons Fries - A great pairing for your meats Crispy brussel sprouts - Loved this. Sweet and crispy. Got multiple rounds of this. Lasagna - GET THIS! So good and comes on a skillet. Saucey, cheesy and great switch up to the meats you're consuming. Pineapple - A must get. Who doesn't love sweet grilled juicy pineapple? Prime rib with cheddar - My absolute favourite cut of meat. So good with the oozing cheese that you seen coming out when they cut it. Parmesan filet mignon - A perfectly crusted parm exterior with perfectly cooked filet mignon on the inside. Garlic shrimp - A great seafood option that is different than eating all the steaks I can't wait to come back another time. Drooling as I'm writing this review as the food was THAT good. Service could definitely use some improvement though. read more

Great experience! Nice tour indoor environment with great information. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. $20 standard wine tour which you can apply $15 to wine purchase. They don't pressure you to purchase anything and they answer your questions promptly. We had a great experience and we will definitely come back to buy some local specialty wines! read more

I want to take a moment to commend the management and staff at this location. Despite a less than ideal experience during our last visit, they went above and beyond to make things right for my friend and myself. We're fairly frequent customers at Copacabana, specifically at this location, and from our first visit back after that previous review, the service has been nothing short of exceptional. What's even more impressive is that this level of excellence has continued consistently since then. This has always been our go-to spot to unwind and enjoy ourselves after long, stressful stretches at work and it continues to be. read more

Copa Cabana is an amazing place not only for its food but its ambiance as well. I have been coming here with my partner for years and will continue to do so. One thing I can't see past is the poor demeanour we received from the front hostess. There was no warmth coming from this person and made us feel unwelcome. We came to celebrate my partner's birthday and this initial vibe made us feel off. I would have ignored this behaviour but the same thing happened when we came last time as well. I'm grateful to the rest of the staff, our server and the gentleman handing out the meat. They were very kind and courteous. They definitely improved our mood after the initial poor treatment. I hope the next time we come, our experience will start off better. read more

Came here to celebrate a big family event and we really enjoyed our meal/time. We sat on the beautiful patio on a warm Friday evening and got to watch some live Brazilian dancing during our meal! The food, in general, was very tasty. The sides are ordered à la carte and all the meats are served by servers who are floating around with different selections. Among the sides, the Mac and Cheese was by far the most delicious! As for the meat, everything I tried was quite flavourful, juicy, and tender. That said, the meat was borderline too salty. I'm convinced they deliberately salt it so much so that you end up drinking more water haha. They are also quite slow in bringing you the meat because the servers need to continually bring it back to the spit to cook it some more (lots of labor involved). You get 2 thin slices at a time, so it takes a long time / many rounds if you are trying to get full off of mostly meat. Fortunately, there was no time limit. We got sufficiently full within 2-2.5 hours. Dessert was very mediocre, but I was okay with that because it wasn't supposed to be the star of the meal. At $75 pp, it is definitely a splurge, so I would only recommend this meal if you are committed to eating (and enjoying) a lot of red meat! read more

Only thing that is like a high end steakhouse is the price. Food is mediocre. Do not order steaks

The service was slow very understaffed took long to get food as well as they forgot some sides and for 5 people $600 way over priced will not go back that's for sure read more

Clean, delicious friendly, plenty of food to choose from, the meat is always fresh. Location is downtown so not easy to reach

Don't Go to This Copa Cabana--Trust Me Okay, so you know how we love a good Brazilian steakhouse, right? We went to Copa Cabana to celebrate Lunar New Year--our group of 10 picked this location because the downtown one has always been great, and we figured this one would be even better since it has parking. Big mistake. From the start, service was a mess. We waited over 30 minutes for any meat, asked multiple servers, and still got nowhere. Food we requested kept going to other tables, and the worst part? The pineapple. We asked over five times and waited 45 minutes--only to watch it get served to everyone but us. Even our server knew we were waiting and still ignored us. At one point, I literally said, "We're never getting that pineapple," and a server looked right at me... and still nothing. It felt extra frustrating because we were probably one of the few Asian groups there. To start Lunar New Year like this? It honestly felt like a bad omen. We were supposed to be celebrating a fresh start, but instead, we sat there feeling ignored and frustrated. And to top it off, they slapped on an 18% mandatory gratuity--for what?! I'd barely give them 5%. So yeah, if you're thinking about going, don't. Start your year off right and go somewhere that actually cares. read more

Had such a great time at Copacabana last month for a birthday party! Upon arrival, we were greeted right away and led to a far away table in the corner. At first we were a bit worried that the meat servers would not be coming our way. We were sat farther from everyone because we had a larger party. However, the moment we started ordered side dishes, the meat servers came and honestly, never stopped. We were well fed and the service was super efficient and friendly. The food, as always, was consistent and delicious. I didn't taste anything that I could not give at an 8/10. Overall, the experience was excellent and I will return! read more

Quality of food is good but service is slow and low quality. Definitely not good value for money

We frequent the Copacabana Vaughn location. Mainly reserve on an evening on a weekend. This recent visit was on a weeknight. Vast difference in the ambiance of the place. It lacked character. The food was good, not great. The gaps between skewers/food arriving at the table was an issue. Our observant waitress had to keep informing the kitchen to get food to us. A server dropped meat on my jacket and stained it, gave an apology, but no follow-up from a manager. Finally, someone came to ask us if we wanted more food, but at that point, I had lost my appetite. Passable food, sluggish service, updated diner ambiance and an unexpected dry-cleaning visit for my stained jacket. Definitely will not be repeating a weeknight visit. read more

We should've read the reviews before coming here. Have been to other locations (TO, Niagara) years ago and have good memories. This place is not that. Poor service, over salted and over seasoned meat, under salted shrimp. It's quite apparent carvers are forced to push the cheap cuts on you hard and to hold back the better cuts unless you ask for them. The meat was overseasoned, we asked for cuts without the seasoning and were refused. After we asked to speak to the manager, we observed the carver going upto him (he was sitting at the bar), the manager looked at our table and never bothered coming over. One of the carvers did try to do his best and listened to us and brought us some picanha that wasn't oversalted. The level of service and quality just wasn't there. If you like good food and good service look somewhere else. read more

This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a long time. The food was cold when it arrived, and the service was consistently poor. The selection of sides was extremely limited--basically all carbs or mushrooms, which isn't great if you're dining with kids or looking for any balance. Speaking of kids: I had a toddler sitting right next to me, and every single server completely ignored that fact. They repeatedly refused to leave enough meat at the table. I ended up giving my own portions to my child because not one server showed any awareness or consideration that there were children dining with us. A manager eventually came by, but only spoke to half the table and ignored the rest of us entirely. No real attempt to resolve anything. The restaurant itself was just loud, chaotic, and paired with cold food and inattentive service, it made for a miserable experience. If you want a much better experience with higher-quality food and significantly better service, go to Toro instead. The worst part? They automatically add an 18% gratuity, so you're forced to tip for poor service regardless of the experience. It feels like there's no incentive for the staff to actually provide good service. Overall, this place has gone such down hill. I would not recommend it to anyone, especially families. read more

Amazing food and service . Love the ambience and most of all the kids love it too. Our go to place nearly every 2-3 weeks.

Waited over 20 mins just for some meat to be served, requests were not filled either--ignored majority of the time and felt it was not worth the money anymore at that point. Service heavily impacted quality of overall experience and would not recommend if you're looking to celebrate an occasion here read more

The meats were tender and savoury and have a lots of choices andflavours to choose from . The breads were freshly baked and tasty, specially the Brazilian cheese bread which is so cheesy and still warm when served. The servers /carvers are courteous and are always ready to serve and alternately offer the grilled meats. But the peri-peri chicken is not so tasty and a little but dry. Also the chef's side dishes were not impressive. The ambiance is pleasant but the tables are very near each other so you can overhear the table next to yours and the place can get crowded on weekends. Overall,it was a great experience for us but we didn't get to watch the show because it starts at 7:30. So that means, we need to go back to this place! read more

Food in my opinion wasn't very good. Very salty and just give such little meat. Not worth it for me

Amazing as always this is where we go for special occasions like birthdays.. every year for each family member.

Came here on Saturday to celebrate a birthday only to find out they no longer provide free birthday meals. Nonetheless, the service was great and they had a new system going on. Essentially you order all the sides through her while the meats still circled around and was carved at your table. If anything in the menu caught your eye but hadn't come around yet, you could let either the waitress or the carvers know and they would come around. The waitress we had and the carvers were so extremely attentive - if we even mentioned in conversation that we hadn't seen x come around or that we enjoyed y better, they almost immediately sent x and y our way. We finished our dinner around 6:50 but before we even got up, a man came by and told us the entertainment would start at 7. We really appreciated this because we didn't even know there was one. Right on the dot, two beautifully costumed dancers went around the floor and some diners were pulled to dance. It was overall a great experience and wish the price didn't increase so much so we could go more often, but at $75 a person plus 18% gratuity, it'll definitely be an occasional visit. read more

We just visit canada from Miami, Been to similar concept restaurants, Texas de Brazil, boca di Chiao, ect those places you can go and service anything you like by yourself like a buffet, here they ask you at front what you want and they bring it over. Went they bring the meat they slice 2 or 3 small cuts and leave right away, we are 2 adults to children and we all like meat, the portions are suitable for my 8 years old girl I have to give my meat cuts to my son and wait for the servers to be back, went O asked for more portions they look at me like I was crazy... Nice try, but they are trying to save to much cost at the expense of service, felt more like those buffets from Niagara Falls. I prefer to pay few more $ and have a full buffet experience. Nice ambiance, the food was not too bad, too much control on what you can eat. read more

Very busy. I highly recommend getting a reservation. We had a reservation but had to wait. I don't think it's a bad thing to be busy. A classic Rodizio style Brazilian churrascaria. The servers were attentive and asked if you wanted any cuts in particular. The sides were very good with a good variety of salads and veggies with free refills. I am not sure but they only allow the meat to be cooked to medium. They cut the meat and bring it back for cooking. It wasn't tough but I prefer more rare then medium. The Parmesan steak was my favorite. The chicken was surprisingly not dry. Rotisserie chicken requires the correct timing and heat to not dry out but they did a great job. Also the shrimp was not dried out. They are very attentive to the cooking time of each individual protein. Great night read more

The Moody Foody - Where's the Beef? I *love* the food here--no complaints on flavor, quality, or that juicy, perfectly cooked meat. But the service? *Frustrating*. It's an all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse, yet once they bring each cut around *once*, they vanish like a steak thief in the night. Every time I've been, we've had to flag someone down just to get another round. For $75 a person, I need to get my money's worth. And sure, unlimited sides are great, but let's be real--that's just their strategy to fill you up before you can load up on the good stuff. They need to step up their game and actually *offer* more meat without us having to hunt them down. Until then, bring patience... and maybe a neon sign that says *More Steak, Please*. read more

February 11/2022: Birthday dinner for a friend. This is an "all you can eat" style Brazilian BBQ. Really expensive at $75.00/pp + mandatory 18% tip. OVERPRICED! The food was ok but not cooked to my taste. When I asked for it to be cooked "well done" I was told that they don't do this but I insisted & they finally relented. The issue is the service was slow in the beginning & then speed up. Taking too long between food delivery leaves your stomach to catch up & thus eating less food! The ambience was ok but very noisy. Live dancers during the dinner but I sat facing the wall so I didn't see much. For the price of $240.00 for dinner, we'll go to a REAL Steakhouse the next time! read more

what a waste. we had a large group so they loaded our table with sides to fill us up. sides were nothing special. at least half an hour until the first meat hit the table. a few of us got the skinniest of slices before they walked away to "recook" the meat. you would finish your tiny slices in a minute then have to wait 20 minutes at least until something else showed up. none of us ordered extra sides but they kept coming out. not a lot of meat hit the table for a "steakhouse". then having to pay well over $200 for a couple is outrageous.
