Coors Field is an incredible place to watch a ballgame. The location in LoDo is awesome with plenty of public trans esp with Union Station just a few blocks away. The area has really developed and there are plenty of things to do right in the neighborhood. Great places to eat and bars to get some brews. The major change that they made a few years back was the "Rooftop" area which was wasted seating for many years. It is one of the best new features of the park. You can casually grab some drinks and enjoy the game. The only reason that I don't give Coors 5 stars is because the food is so-so and the fan atmosphere is left to be desired. When you allow visiting fans to outnumber the home fans, that says a lot on the nature of fandom here. read more

Coors Field in Denver is home to the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball. The field is located in the lower downtown Denver area and has a 50,111 seating capacity. It opened in 1995 so it does not have the history of a Fenway Park not the generic look of all those stadiums built in the 60's. Coors Field is named after the Coors Brewing company of Golden, Colorado. What makes Coors Field special are the purple colored seats in the upper deck. Those purple colored seats mark 5,280 feet above sea level, thus Mile High. All the surrounding seats are dark green so you can not miss the purple seats. Another cool feature of the stadium is the Blue Moon Brewery. The brewery experiments with craft beers and created Blue Moon beer. The beer is a Belgian style wheat beer and is now sold nationally. Another cool feature is the waterfall and pine trees behind the center field fence.. Every time a Colorado Rockies player hits a homerun the fountain shoots a spray of water high in the air. If you are ever in Coors Field you got to try their legendary Rockies Dog. If you are ever short of cash they have deep discounted tickets called Rockpile Tickets. Coors Field has a reputation as a hitter's park because of the number of homeruns allowed by pitchers. The science behind that usually high number of homeruns hit at Coors Field revolves around the mile high elevation and the semi-arid climate. Doing tourist things this was on the list of to-do's .....Great place to catch a game! Not a bad seat in the house in my perspective. The food stations had a variety of menus and pricing wasn't over the top expensive.. The beverage stands both adult and kid friendly especially the buckaroos in left field (geared towards kids) had reasonable prices and I was pleasantly surprised. The parking is out a ways...however they had shuttles dropping people off at the main gate I am in firm belief that the overall planning and logistics of this event are professionally done and handled well! This stadium is a must visit if in the area and you like baseball. My nephew got a baseball during batting practice tossed up by Justin Verlander... 10/10 times I would return... Every year it has been an annual family tradition for us to meet up in a different city for a week. When we meet up in a city that has a Major League Baseball stadium, it becomes part of that tradition. Incorporated in this tradition is visiting as many Major League stadiums as possible. After watching two Colorado Rockies verse NY Mets games at Coors Field, it was Number #10 on the Major League Baseball stadiums that I have visited. Before I proceed with my review of Coors Field, here are some cool facts. * It is the first baseball-only park in the National League since Dodger Stadium in 1962. * The holding capacity is 46,867. * First game played here was April 26, 1995 against the NY Mets. * There are 63 luxury suites and 4,526 club seats. * It is the most hitter friendly ballpark in the Major Leagues. * At 5,200 feet above sea level, it is the highest park in the Major Leagues. * The purple seats in the 20th row of upper deck mark 1 Mile above sea level. * First Major League Stadium with an underground heating system. * An awesome way to spend a few hours in Denver as this review shows. When I met up with my family for a week in Denver, we stayed at the Homewood Suites off the 16th Street Mall. What is nice about Coors Field is that it is close to the downtown Denver hotels. In the daytime we walked along the 16th Street Mall then a couple of blocks along Blake Street to Coors Field. At night we walked a couple of blocks to the 16th Street Mall where we rode the complimentary transit bus to one block off the hotel. I give Coors Field gets high marks on accessibility. Now, if we had arrived by car, we could have driven I-25 to the Park Avenue or 20th Street exits. Or we could have arrived by light rail from the suburbs into the nearby Union Station. A neat attribute about Coors Field is that it has grown with the revitalization of the Lower Denver area, which is filled with bars, restaurants, and some nightlife. Before the games we enjoyed lunch and beer in the Lower Downtown area. What is remarkable about the Coors Field experience is that it is inexpensive. Tix can range from $18 at the Rockpile to $149 at row 7 depending on the game. The ticket prices were little more than seeing a movie. Inside the stadium, the prices of the concession food are on par with some of the least expensive that I have seen in a Major League ballpark. Because I filled up before the game I cannot really comment on the food. What I could comment on is that they have a wide selection of food concessions. What captured my eyes is that in addition to the Americana ballpark field, the selection includes healthier options such as veggie pizza, salad, veggie burgers, Gluten free, and turkey wraps. Before entering the stadium, I went on a photo tour. The stadium designers did a fantastic job blending the stadium in with the mature Lower Downtown buildings. The photos below and throughout the business listing capture it. Then after we passed the metal detectors at Gate C, we followed the upper concourse where I snapped pictures of the awesome views of the Denver skyscrapers and distant views of the Rocky Mountains. The baseball of today is different from the baseball of my childhood. Today the game is just part of the entertainment. Before and throughout the game it was enjoyable watching the on-field antics of Dinger the Dinosaur mascot. Based on my experiences it appears that there is not a bad seat in the house. From our seats in the upper levels above third base, it was a grand slam view. The dark green seats were also relatively comfortable. I had zero issues making out the state-of-the-art score boards and live baseball action below. The mile high weather is perfect for enjoying a Major League game. It is my understanding that because Coors Field is a mile high above sea level that it is easier to hit a home run. It is likewise my understanding that the outfield fence is further away than at other Major League stadiums. When the Rockies hit a home run there is a spectacular water fountain feature that goes off. My eyes were drawn to this miniature pine and spruce forest adorned with waterfalls in the outfield. That again reiterates the point that today the entertainment in Major League Baseball is much more than the game itself. Whether the Colorado Rockies win or lose, it is a homerun experience spending time in Lower Downtown Denver with a few hours in Coors Field. I highly recommend it as part of a Denver vacation itinerary. I will go a step further by suggesting planning to visit Denver and Coors Field on a week that the Rockies play the team that you root for. We went when they played the NY Mets. When we twice watched the Colorado Rockies play the NY Mets, it made spending time in Coors Field that much more entertaining. read more

We had so much fun here on our trip to Denver! This is a really nice stadium and I'm so glad we came here! We are from Cleveland, so are tried and true Tribe fans (soon to be Guardian fans next year!). Unfortunately the Tribe wasn't in Denver (which would be rare), but we still wanted to go to a game since we have a goal to get to all 30 MLB stadiums. The stadium was build by the same firm that built Progressive Field in CLE and it was built in the 90s, so had a similar vibe to it. I loved walking around the lower area and seeing all of the shops, food and beer vendors. We spent time in the gift shop and even though we aren't Rockies fans, both my brother-in-law and sister made purchases. I would say this may be the most family friendly ballpark I've been to. They have a few fun play areas and there were so many youngsters out and about with their parents. It was a Friday 1pm game so that may be why. But we had fun watching all of the families having a good time. The weather was fantastic and we loved being in the upper deck behind home plate just viewing a beautiful blue sky with the Rockies (the actual mountain range) far in the background. Only reason they lost a star for me was because we spotted an ice cream stand in left field and made our way there. I am a massive ice cream fanatic but was disappointed at their flavor offerings. They only had red velvet and caramel. I got the caramel and it was good- I enjoyed it. But I definitely would have wanted more flavor offerings, especially classic flavors like chocolate, chocolate chip cookie dough, etc. Otherwise, I'm so glad we came here and we had a blast! My first time at this ballpark to see my Phillies take on the hometown, Rockies and I was pleasantly impressed! The flow to the traffic lots was very smooth, all the attendants were very pleasant & helpful, and parking was a breeze. They have a free shuttle that takes you right to the gate, and each driver I encountered was so nice! Philly could learn a lesson from here in that regards. Even though we were wearing our Phillies colors, every staff member we came in contact with was great! Especially Joe, the host for our section, 125, he noticed we were Phils fans and even gave us some Phillies trivia. Our seats were great and the ballpark looked great for being 24 years old. There was plenty of fan engagement up on the big screen, and the food options were also great. I had a Rockie Dog, which was at least a foot long Nathens All Beef Hot Dog. I enjoy the $50 price tag when the worker saw I was a Phils fan. Everyone was extremely courteous, and I mean the Rockies fans! I've seen first hand how Philly fans treat opposing teams fans at our stadium, and again Philly could take a few lessons. Also got the loaded Nachos, and some of the best fresh squeezed lemonade I've ever had. Even though my team lost, we still had a great time & it was a winning night for us! read more

There is a lot to like about Coors Field. Overall I was really happy with my experience at a game here. Accessibility: We walked from our hotel, which was about a 20 minute walk. There's a good amount of restaurants and bars within a few blocks of the park as well, which makes it easy to grab a bite to eat or drink before or after the game. Tickets: We were watching ticket prices on StubHub in the days leading up to the game and ended up buying same day Club Level seats for about $30. Pretty good deal for seats with a great view. Food: We had a chicken tender/fries plate, which was overpriced as expected, but not overly disappointing. Most exciting part was a sauce bar with more options that just ketchup and mustard. The Views: We walked a majority of the park and got views from all different angles. The rooftop bar is it's own little world where it may feel like you're not even in the park. Past the bar, there is standing room where you can get some pretty fantastic views of the park and downtown Denver. The Atmosphere: Up in the rooftop bar you could definitely feel the vibe of the folks that just showed up to drink. Once we settled into our seats, it felt more like the old fashioned 'take me out to the ballgame' spirit. So there is a mix, which I can deal with. Warm, humid, and rainy. That was the environment at the end of July 2019 when we were here. Does it feel like you are being peed upon from the sky? No it's not that warm. Other that, Coors is a beautiful field. Despite the clouds in the sky, it was a great day for baseball. Hometown fans represented very well and invited us hostile Giants fans into their home without incident. Most food and drink options were above average as the average beer selection in this park far exceeded my expectations. I believe my only complaint about the entire experience was the fact that I couldn't access some concession stands that were on the suite level. Seriously? Exclusive food items are only sold to a cross section of the ticketed population? Sigh... Scratch off one more baseball stadium off my list. Only 8 more to go! Since Denver is not within short driving distance from another baseball city, we were able to tick this one off our list and on to the next locale! read more

Here for Padres at Rockies, I managed to get a not-too-cheap seat on the Club level for $45. The seat was comfortable, mostly because the other seats on the row didn't show up. There's a nice cup holder! The usual condiments with one place that does some really appealing barbecue. I chose the burger spot and had something with cheese sauce and pickles. Interesting. Lots of fan engagement during the breaks. Excellent big screen with statistics and such. Nice, loud music. Fun game. I'm glad I was here. The Rockies won! read more

Fun night to see the world series losers the LA Dodgers. Lame they won tonight. The stadium reminds me of St Louis. The seating is stacked on top of itself. It was pretty packed with dodgers fans. It's impossible to have a bad sit in Coors Field. My experience here after watching the Colorado Rockies three times has always been positive. I've sat behind the dugout, visitors area and had been fortunate to experience a season ticket these whole time. Coors being right in busy d/t Denver is not as bad as I thought it would be parking wise. It's easy to locate parking lot with clear signage. Well thought out plan. The choices of food here is awesome. My fave Biker Jim's hotdog has a cart here. Pizza. This really long dog is here too. That was a source of amusement for me when the Rockies played against Atlanta Braves. Wine with baseball? My friend was happy. Double fisted it like she won't see wine ever again. The selection of wine is not bad either if you go all the way to the top bar. If you're visiting Denver make time to enjoy this landmark. Came here for a work event that involved me and 23 coworkers. Coors Field had a wonderful package for corporate events that included tickets and some Rockies Dollars that helped to cover food and drink. Fit perfectly in our budget (we determined how many dollars to include per ticket). Just a 10 min walk from the train station, easy to find, very safe even after dark. The park itself has lots of options for food and drink. the lines went pretty quickly. pricing of concessions were typical for this type of venue. I was at a Mets/Rockies day game here. When I first came in I bought a fifteen dollar spiked Arnold Palmer. A little while later I attempted to order food from a woman who did not speak English. I had a room temperature hot dog with nachos and a five dollar soda that probably costs them a quarter. How any company thinks it's acceptable to hire someone who deals with the public and knows a few dozen words of English is mind blowing to me. read more

I'll note this caveat: my trip to Coors Field was as part of a larger group - the Ballpark STAMPeders - and so I was a bit spoiled with the overall experience, which boosted the rating for the stadium. Had I just gone by myself? It'd probably be a 3.5-star experience. My group met at Gate D a bit before 1pm (game started just after 7pm) to meet with our guides for our own, private tour of Coors Field (26 of us in the group, which was generally split in half for getting to parts of the stadium). Our guides were great, taking us all throughout the stadium and telling stories about the different memorabilia and showing us various nooks and crannies of the stadium. Very enjoyable. After our private tour, our group enjoyed some time outside and around the stadium before returning to the stadium between 4:30 and 5pm... most of us getting in line at Gate E to ensure earlier access into the stadium AND to get our purple Iron Man Bobbleheads! While some folks went to watch batting practice, or to check out our seats, some of us also made our way to the line for the 2nd Annual Warning Track 1K (the first 2,000 participants of which received a pair of custom Rockies crew-socks). While the line for the walk was extensive, the experience of walking along the warning track was an enjoyable one. After the warning track walk, all of the Ballpark Stampeders met up again to "stamp in" with our special "mini stampede" stamp... and then to take a group photo from our seats up in section U332. Another stampeder had also gone to the concession stand that sells rocky mountain oysters... and yes, I tried them. I had promised to, and I totally did. Now I don't have to have them again. LOL. Side note: I parked at the LoDo Garage for the entire day and I think it ended up costing... $10? Wasn't that bad getting out after the game either. TL;DR While the Rockies ended up losing the game to the White Sox (White Sox won by 5-4 after a 9th inning HR), the experience at Coors Field was a great one... VIP-feeling tour experience, and overall enjoyable atmosphere/view for the game. I'd certainly go back. read more

Take me out to the ball game! While I may not be the biggest baseball fan out there, I still do enjoy catching a good ol' ball game. Coors Field is a great stadium to do just that! ++ It features a slew of amenities ranging from several awesome rooftop bars, to games, meet and greets, and tons photo ops! ++ The stadium its self is beautiful! Love all the brickwork. Not to mention some great views of both the city and the mountains! ++ There's tons of parking in the surrounding neighborhood - if you arrive early enough. Otherwise be prepared to pay a pretty penny or walk a few blocks. ++ Tickets are usually pretty dang cheap - depending on where you want to sit. No preference - even better! Got lucky that the Mets were in town playing the Rockies. Stadium is a close resemblance to Pac-Bell and Petco Park. Amazing open stadium and our seats were on the visitor side field level near third base. Prices are very reasonable, beer selection is ample, fans are great and its conveniently located to DTDEN. This was my first MLB stadium I have been to but I do go to a lot of sports stadiums. The front of Coors Field is beautiful and leaves a big impact to incoming visitors. Most of the seats are covered and have backs. We were trying to get the seats that have the awesome view of the mountains but accidentally got the tickets on the opposite side. The view of the mountains if you are high up on the first base line is awesome. There is a cool purple line of seats that marks a mile high in the stadium. That is a unique touch. There are plenty of places to buy food and drinks and lines didn't seem outrageous. A cup of beer is 8.50 which is expensive but I honestly expected more. We went on a Friday night and it was a little disappointing how empty the seats were and how quiet the fans were. Not my favorite of the "stadium experiences" read more

I am not a Denver fan, so this is an objective review. Loved this place! Easy to get in if you aren't carrying a bag. Long line if you are. Pro tip: don't carry a bag! The layout was easy to get around. New, super clean. All the concessions running fairly quick. Seats reminded me of airline seating so the accountants must have had something to do with the architecture. We had six guys packed in and that was the only thing that sucked. Great monitors, info, etc. we sat on the shaded side behind third base. Do NOT get right field seating behind the right field. That must have sucked! This girls is used to a huge baseball field yes I'm from LA. This is the new way to watch baseball. Why do you need such a big field for ? We literally walked around the whole stadium every single seat was a good seat. No seat is bad here . We didn't realize when we got our seats that they were veteran seats handicap Which was really cool because nobody sat behind us or in front of us. We were literally right next to all the concession stands and bathroom perfect! There was a plug right where I was sitting Probably if you have to plug in your wheelchair. I thought it was so awesome because my phone was dying but it didn't work nor did the one next to me that kind of sucked. I had an amazing time and of course I rooted for the Dodgers and they won yay. Train ride over there super easy all around great experience.Denver Colorado goes hard for the Rockies. As a big fan of baseball, and baseball stadiums, I was excited to finally see a game at Coors Field. I love that you can pop onto Stubhub and get super cheap tickets same day (went to a game for $10 over the summer). The layout and food/drinks is standard fair, but the views are incredible (see sunset pic), and every seat I've had has been in the action. Because it's downtown, parking, of course, is not fun, so take a ride share, or bus to make your life a little easier. read more

Came to check out a game vs Arizona. Game ended with 0-8 and was able to watch the Rockies score 3 points in one inning! I had dinner before coming but the shops had lots of food options. One place that stood out what a fruit stick that was covered with chocolate drizzle & cheesecake & strawberries for only $7. Even during covid, everyone was able to have a good time & the crowd going wild all night. Seats were socially distanced and had an easy time finding street parking. We walked to the entrance quickly, mobile tickets purchased from Ticketmaster & then downloaded mlb ballpark app where it was scanned on my mobile after security check. read more
