We both got the Bacon Cheeseburgers (one with a lettuce bun for gluten-free purposes and one with the regular bun). Just an average burger joint/sports bar in my opinion, nothing overly special. We also ordered a few caesars which we thought were pretty decent. Staff was very friendly and quick service. I'd go back to grab dinner and watch a sporting event or something very casual. However, I do feel like there are better places in Burlington for strictly food purpose! read more

It didn't hurt the experience when they had a good IPA on tap. Friendly busy staff, good chicken and close to parking.

Very nice sports bar, offering great variety of (delicious) fried and BBQ chicken (sandwiches, bites, etc.), nachos, poutine, salad, and tacos. The staff are very friendly and the service is good. We tried fried chicken sandwiches with different sauces (original, Buffalo and Korean). My favorite was Buffalo sauce; had great hit to and was very delicious. read more

Checked out Coop Chicken by the Burlington lakefront and it was a good spot. Loved the location, especially with free street parking after 6 pm - a rare treat for us Toronto folks. The vibe was nice, chill, and perfect for a casual dinner. We went for the special of the day, chicken fingers with hot sauce, and they were spicy and crispy, with plenty of sauce to go around. The fries were alright, nothing to write home about though - ended up leaving them halfway. The mac n cheese bites gave comfort food vibes. One thing to note is that the food took a bit to come out, like a good 30 minutes at least, so keep that in mind if you're in a rush or very hungry Overall, enjoyed the chicken and might swing by again if I'm in the area. read more

The food here is good if you are wanting chicken, and the staff is even better. My groups food was all average or better. I ordered hot and it wasn't even mild for me so if you can handle heat don't hesitate. The staff is really friendly and helpful with explaining what's good. The Coop is a chicken joint on the very scenic Brant Street. In summers, they have a shaded patio with umbrellas. The front windows of the restaurant also open up so even if you can't find a space on the patio, you can still enjoy the outdoors. Their specialties are fried chicken and tenders but they also have burgers, salads, and sandwiches that feature the aforementioned. I had sauced up chicken tenders with BBQ sauce. Sort of expensive at $15 for 5 pieces before tax but it does come with some carrots and celery, even if they were a little dried out. At the end of the day, it was tasty. The staff were pretty nice. We were there when wasps were still prevalent on the patio. The waitresses were really good at taking them down with an electric fly swatter! read more

Ordered a bacon burger and fries. No dairy. The waitress was kind in letting me know about the dairy content in the buns so it was changed to a lettuce wrapped burger. I ordered at 1233 and recieved my order at 1252. Not ideal if you have a short lunch but okay for lunches beyond 30 mins. Thats not on the restaurant, its definitely a me problem. The food came out barely warm. This is what got me. The staff were mostly in conversation with each other but with only 9 other customers it made sense. But waiting 19 mins for a barely warm burger and burnt fries and then seeing the 5 staff ( 2 servers, 3 cooks) more focused on talks than service killed it for me Would i go back? No. Would i recommend? No. Would i deter people from trying it? No. read more

The chicken sandwich wasn't coated enough with the Nashville sauce. And just tasted bland.

First time here. We came here for the first time tonight. Ordered the dirty chicken tacos, buffalo chicken tacos with crumbled blue cheese and blue cheese sauce and side of onion rings. The tacos were $13.99 and you only get 2. Thought it would be 3, so we were quite disappointed. The tacos were small but very satisfying and kinda filling. There was picture on the menu that showed 3 tacos too which is why we felt a bit bummed. The dirty chicken ones weee not very spicy, had a nice bit of General Tso sauce and a hint of pineapple salsa. The buffalo chicken one had good favor and had a decent amount of blue cheese also. The side of onion rings were $6.99 each and it was a very small portion of them. The aioli sauce was good but unfortunately some of the sauce ended spilling out of the container and onto the plate. They were not greasy which was very good too. The temperature was definitely not freshly friend and brought to table. They were rather on the colder side of warm. Wait staff and hostess were nice though and the music was not loud and blaring in the background. You can actually hear the people at your table when you're talking to them. The tables were small square sized and chairs were very tall almost like a high chair. So that is a bit awkward for shorter patrons. Overall, it was decent food but portions were really small so it was a little disappointing. read more

Headed back to Toronto from niagra falls we were trying to find somewhere to eat and found this place which night I add is in such a cute area! I'm from the states and since being in Canada it has been hard for me to find Patron and they had it so I was extremely happy about that lol I also ordered the Pina Colada which is good As an appetizer I ordered deep frown deviled eggs which was my absolute favorite thing probably my whole entire trip. Also ordered the chicken sandwich which was just ok. read more

I went here after checking out some reviews, looking for some great fried chicken, for takeout. I waited a few more minutes than I expected, but it was well worth it. The chicken was perfectly crispy, had a real nice taste to it, almost like Cajun...not too spicy. Came with an order of fries, who eats fries when you have crispy chicken?? Service - excellent. read more

Fried chicken place which has a 90's and hipster feel to it. Table service and they're licenced with beers on tap. The chicken was quite good and a bit cheaper than comparable places downtown Toronto. Even more seasoning than I expected to it too. I didn't quite get or enjoy the side sauce they served with it though. Waffle fries hit the spot and they didn't charge for the side of sour cream. Sour cream is a must btw for waffle fries in case you haven't tried that. Will happily return. read more

I came in for lunch with a friend at around 3:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. The place is spotless and follows all usual Covid restrictions. We ordered the onion petal because my friend saw it on Instagram and wanted to try it. I got the fried chicken waffle with a side of Cesar salad, and she ordered the coop chicken sandwich with a side of coleslaw. The appetizer (the onion ) was somewhat disappointing, as it didn't look anything like what we saw in pictures, and wasn't as crispy as what we would've liked, but the breading was yummy so it's okay. On to the REAL DEAL: the ENTRES!! Oh my lord. I have a food coma right now so it's hard to type but let me try and break it down; I started with my side of Cesar salad, which was absolutely delicious! The lettuce was fresh and crisp (as were the crotons), the bacon was savoury and delicious, and it was topped with a mountain of Parmesan cheese. I would literally come back just to order this Cesar salad again, so don't sleep on it! My main dish was the chicken waffle, and it was hands down the best chicken waffle I've ever had in my life. The chicken was perfectly fried and still moist (I hate that word but it applies) and tender. The waffle was made in house (the whole restaurant smelt like my waffle and I loved that!), and it was soft and buttery. Together they made the best southern comfort food. The bourbon syrup it comes with is also perfectly paired, but you'll have to ask for a second one if you want to get that Smokey yummy sweetness all over the gigantic portion. The sriracha mayo was spicy and creamy, but I don't really see how it fits this meal, I don't know why I ordered it, but it's all good. I also asked for bacon on top, because, well, I like bacon. It was absolutely delicious! My friend ordered the Coop sandwich (apparently a best seller). I took a bite off of it (for the sole purpose of this review) and I was greeted by the same juicy tender fried chicken paired with fresh lettuce, onion, tomatoes, and American cheese. So yummy. My friend's side dish, the coleslaw, was so good and sweet and tangy that we ordered another one just to share it. As for the service, it was honestly so great. Everyone was sweet and welcoming. We asked the manager to please turn down the volume of the blaring music, and he said he couldn't do it in-house. So he literally got on the phone with someone and TURNED IT DOWN for us!! THAT is customer service! Our server was also super sweet. The food arrived quickly and was served hot and fresh. Honestly 10/10 maybe one of the best spots I've been to in Burlington and will definitely come back for more (on cheat days, definitely on cheat days). read more

This place is so good to our kids from 1 to 9 years old. Our 1 year old son was being restless and impatient waiting for food to arrive. The server brought bowl full of toys that our kids could pick to keep. They were happy kids shortly after. Now about the food, we ordered fried deviled eggs. OH! So good. The egg part was the only fried so it wasn't 100% fried. Better this way. We each ordered: Coop chicken sandwich Crispy chicken sandwich Buffalo chicken sandwich Nashville poutine And all kids got their chicken tenders with waffle fries (that also came with side of cucumber and baby carrots). Coop chicken- thumbs up. Crispy chicken- thumbs up. Buffalo chicken- thumbs up. And Nashville poutine- one of the best he has ever had. The kids (except the toddler) ate all of their basket. My family is on vacation to Canada, so I won't be their regular, BUT when we are in town again, we'll definitely eat here again. Our friends whom we are visiting said they'll will be returning! When I asked "will you guys come again?" Their response was "of courssseeee!!!" Thank you Coop for making our lunch really good! read more

Got to try this spot during a business trip. The place is clean and have a very friendly staff. I ordered "Livin' on the veg" which was delicious! My only down side is it took around 45 minutes for it to come out, and I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo of the burger. Officially my favorite fried chicken place. Wow. It was so live in there and so nerdy... Loved it. Music could have been a little quieter, but the food was beyond delicious. I came here twice in one month (and a couple times after that). A friend introduced it to me and let me tell you....I'm sooo glad he did! Unfortunately for me, it's a bit of a drive coming from sauga but totally worth it! I love everything about this place! The food, decor, atmosphere and staff! What a chill place to have some good food with good company! A MUST appetizer or shareable (if you want to) are the mac and cheese bites! It's chunks of melt in your mouth-crunchy-savoury-cheesy goodness!! It's deep fried and it has cheese, how could you not wanna eat that?! They top it off with sliced scallions and sea salt with a side of ketchup! YUM!! That's just the appetizer...do I even really need to describe the rest? Ok, maybe just a little... their fried chicken is crunchy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside Love the art on the walls and wallpapers in the washrooms. Staff are friendly! A couple of them are already recognizing us when we visit They play great music. Aaaand while you're waiting, you can even play video games on one of their tv's displayed behind the bar! Cmon now, if you haven't been, you're missing out! read more

This place is awesome! Came across this place late at night on the way back to Toronto from Niagara and not only were they open but also so nice and accommodating. The place is decked out in comic book, 80s music and other odd decor that sets the atmosphere just right and creates a cool vibe. The food is outstanding. We tried the Mac & cheese bites with a local craft beer and that was great. The chicken sandwiches probably ranks up there as some of the best we've ever had, ever. Definitely recommend read more

This is a solid 3.5 ... almost reaching a 4 star. Definitely better than average. The only reason why I'm not giving it an outright 4 stars was the service. Sunday brunch was a tad slow at times... to the point where we didnt see our drinks for 15 minutes after ordering (a can of cider and a lemonade) and our waitress was MIA and stuck typing on their computer for nearly the same length. Just north of Spencer Park is a fun, and unapologetically loud bar. The sign on the door says it all ... adult language. They had NIN Animal playing uncensored while I looked over at an adorable cute toddler who was choosing from the toy chest. I guess we got to start them young in Burlington. This place clearly focuses on all things chicken and the word Cock is overplayed in the many many ways you can think of.... and then some. There are many options to sit here... bar, bar tables, and regular tables. The were many tables but you never felt crowded. The hooks under the table... nice touch. I would say you can't hear the neighbouring tables but you can barely hear the person beside you. Think 80 and 90s music at volume 11 out of 10 and you get the idea. The menu is simple but has a lot of variety. Looking around, fried chicken is the top item ... just chicken, in a sandwich, taco, and wings. You can have it many ways. I chickened out (ha... see what I embarrassingly did there) and just got a vegetarian 'chicken feed' salad cause I was full from the day before. We also got the fried chicken on the cob salad. For starters, I had NO idea how much food we'd get but this was generous and not filled with just random filler. Honestly... very good and I would say worth ordering again. We also started with the sriracha cauliflower and they definitely know how to deep fry things here. Light crispy, and flavourful. Another solid option. The best way I can think of this place is a Bro who wanted to open the best bar food he could create and went to Cordon Bleu for an education but opened a bar that is true to himself. Definitely worth trying... just hope the service matches the food next time! read more

We ordered a few apps and sides online for pickup today but when we arrived at the restaurant the order hadn't been relayed from the provider. The manager on duty (Courtney?) quickly had the kitchen get started on preparing the order based on the email receipt and apologised for the delay while offering me a comlimentray drink while I waited. The food was prepared quickly but quality certainly wasn't affected. Plus while I waited i got to enjoy the great decor (toys from 80s onward), while watching an episode of the classic animated My Pet Monster and I even could have played a game of mario cart on the wii they had setup. Great service, great atmosphere and great staff. Thanks for taking care of what could have been a horrible start to a meal and turning it into a great experience. read more

Came for brunch with a friend on a weekend, it was both of our first times there. Location was good and the interior was clean. They had board games for tables to use, which I saw a few tables doing. Great idea. Unfortunately the food just was not very good at all. Overpriced for what you received. Possibly we made bad menu choices (breakfast sandwich, and burrito) - but even at a lower price the food was still bad. Tortilla was stale, eggs were dry, no flavour at all. Breakfast sandwich came with one piece of bacon on what looked to be a grocery store burger bun. Just really underwhelming. Perhaps if we'd tried their Benny (which I saw a few tables order) we would have had a better experience, but for such a small menu to have two very big misses - I can say I won't come back to test out that theory. Will definitely pass on this place for brunch. read more

Should be called "The Crap". I'm in my 30's and the terrible '90's music kicked started a terrible experience. It was too loud- even he host had to say "huh" a few times, when asking us where we want to sit. Our waitress took 15 min at the front- on her cell phone--before asking us if we would like anything to drink. Slammed down our cutlery (which had old oil smeared on the fork). We told her it was dirty and she tried scratching off the oil, then slammed down a new one. Right then, we thought of leaving. The beer was watered down and the Mule was served in an old soup can. Barf!!! We weren't asked by our server if we'd been there before, so we had no clue what the items were about, or how they were served. She never came to ask us if our food was ok-- which it wasn't! The food was bland and the chicken was under cooked. Even after making eye contact with the server several times, I eventually had to go up to the cash (and interrupt the server --on her phone again), to ask for a glass of water-- which was slammed down and served to me in a small, plastic Dixie cup--warm! Once we were finished eating-and sitting there for about 15 minutes with the food trays untouched in front of us; I had to go back up to the cash to tell her we were done and we literally had to ask for the bill, because she kept staring down at her phone. All the waitstaff and management were walking around mindless- while stuffing food in their faces the entire time. As a Patron, I felt as though we were an inconvenience eating there. This place is disgusting! If I want great chicken, I'm going to Wings Up! (No- that's not a plug, it's just the truth). read more

Had come for dinner at around 9pm. We asked to sit on the patio and the hostess said yes. BUT then the waitress came and said she didn't want to have to serve people on the patio, so we couldn't sit there. The music inside was unbelievably loud. It honestly felt like a club or a bar. I'm not sure how anyone was supposed to hold a conversation in there (we're in our 30s, so it's not just old people complaining about the music. It's actually deafening in there!) The waitresses we encountered were snooty and aloof. We didn't bother staying for dinner so I can't comment on the food. The poor service and insanely loud music was bad enough to earn this review. I won't be going back. read more

Went there Saturday with a buddy. Sat outside on the patio. Wings 5/10 Was more like fried chicken and the dry rub was nothing special Chicken fingers 8/10 Pretty good. Not amazing. But pretty good Water - served in a cheap plastic cup as if your buying a $1 draught beer from Trappers ally in my Guelph university days. Fries- 6/10 Nothing special. Wait staff - 3 our of 4 people were female. Looks like they are trying to work a bit of sex appeal etc. I personally go to places for good food and good service... I'm not interested in younger girls dressed a bit skimpy. Staff was 7/10 overall He enjoyed his beers and had the boiled egg app. I've driven past both locations a million times .... will probably keep driving past it the next time Not a bad spot but wasn't for me. Happened upon this new eatery today for lunch. My wife spotted it on her way home and thought it would be a good place to take our kids to. It is certainly refreshing to see a fun, hip, family friendly place in Burlington. The kids were really looked after...games, make your own soda, and awesome kids menu. My wife had the dirty bird tacos and they were scrumptious, moorish, and with these adjectives I had to try a bite....and she was right! I had the Nashville Chicken sandwich.
