A polite lady said that they had been on vacation and that she would leave a note for them to contact me asap. 6 weeks went by, nothing. Screw them. I went to NUVIA in Roseville and got it done. Reading the reviews, I see this is a pattern for this dental practice. I came in as a new patient for a routine cleaning since I've just moved to the area. I was really excited to establish care here since it's close to me. I also was happy to have a lady doctor. My insurance is kicking in on February 1 so I wasn't open to any extra services quite yet. I just wanted to establish care, get a good exam and above all, a cleaning! I had made my insurance situation clear when I made the appointment and again with the assisting staff. Also, I didn't actually need more X-rays as I have them from my previous dentist, but they insisted. After all that, the dentist gave me a hard sell on 4 quadrant deep cleaning and a new crown (which I did need), but not on that day ... I didn't want to pay out of pocket given my insurance would be kicking in soon. My dentist was visibly upset that I didn't sign the expensive out-of-pocket treatment plan on the spot. She then spent maybe 5 minutes cleaning my teeth. Terrible vibe and a waste of time as I have to now schedule an actual cleaning somewhere else. What a disappointment. I think the dentists must have a sales quota. I will be reporting them to the BBB, the city and various licensing associations.

Six months later, I returned for my scheduled appointment only to be told I had to complete the same small X-rays or "take my business somewhere else." although they already completed panoramic X-rays. They wasted my time at both appointments, as if I didn't have work or other responsibilities. The lack of professionalism, communication, and compassion was extremely disappointing.

I left my last dentist because she does not accept Medicare Advantage. I do have gum disease, however, my pockets have been holding steady at 5's for the last 20 years. Is it a coincidence that within one year of seeing this hygienist, my pockets have all of the sudden increased to 7's? I guess I'll never know the answer to that. My last appointment with them was for a cleaning in October of 2024. During this appointment Yer Lee (the hygienist), pierced my lower lip with her dental tools. It took approximately 1 1/2 weeks for the swelling to go down. Her reaction to the piercing was: "It's ok". My reaction: "No it's NOT OK". She also smeared fluoride all over my teeth (even though in my last appointment, I specifically stated that I don't want that treatment. After researching it, I found that the ADA states " Fluoride must be ingested, topical fluoride is ineffective". Plus, I have a bridge for my upper 6 teeth (i.e. they are fake teeth). Yer Lee is obviously not smart enough to realize that fluoride, even if the ADA had thought that it was effective, can NOT be absorbed by fake teeth. When I called to cancel my next appointment and ask that my dental records be sent to my new dentist, the office staff wasn't even curious as to WHY I was leaving their facility for another. Her attitude was almost as if they get lots of these requests.

Dr. Green performed a root canal yesterday, and today I could not even tell anything had been done to the tooth. He is also the best Novocain injection-giver I have ever witnessed. It doesn't hurt at all. Dr. Green also gave me a new crown on a chipped tooth during the same visit and it is beautiful! It fit and matched perfectly, and I walked out with a new crown in 1 visit. A DENTIST & TEAM THAT CARES!!…read more I usually HATE going to the dentist, I've walked away from many dental offices feeling like no matter what I do to take care of my teeth nothing is good enough, or I get referred to a super expensive specialist, and if not I have to pay super expensive bills for being uncomfortable and anxious for an hour or two. That being said I have NEVER had such an amazing experience and have never been so comfortable during the whole process! Even when I voiced that I was getting nervous my dentist stopped everything and talked me through the options and made me feel comfortable and confident in the plans moving forward. I felt like a person that was getting help from a professional and not the usual distant non personal experiences. I cannot say enough good things about Bass Lake Dental, everyone was kind and helpful and was there to help you feel confident and comfortable the whole time. I responded with a request to cancel my appointment due to my dental insurance expiring. Laine, the Practice Manager, responded to my cancellation request to say that Droel "always verifies benefits/eligibility before your scheduled appointment" (with many typos). She also specifically told me that I am covered for the next ~8.5 months based on the Delta Dental benefit calendar. She ended her text with "You are definitely eligible to come in :)" About a month after my appointment, I was again contacted via text to say that "the plan we had on file seems to have terminated which has left a pretty hefty balance on your account" of over $1,000. This is extremely frustrating given what I mentioned above. I trusted Droel to be the experts on dental insurance coverage since it is something they deal with on a daily basis, but instead I'm left wondering if they are dishonest or downright predatory toward their patients on purpose. Despite their negligence on this issue, they refused to offer me any sort of concession on my balance due, and even threatened to send it to a collection agency. On top of this, their quality of care is severely lacking. Wait times are extremely long for any sort of procedure beyond a routine cleaning, which leads me to believe that the doctor, Andy is stretching his practice too thin. I've also had to have multiple follow-up visits to fix sharp edges and uneven fillings, further reinforcing that Droel only cares about volume and not patient satisfaction. While I'm fortunate enough to be able to just pay this balance and avoid any further conflict, I'm afraid that this is not an isolated issue with Droel Family Dentistry, and that their subpar level of care could lead to a significant financial burden for others. I hope this review does something to combat that. Neither I nor my family will be returning to Droel Family Dentistry for any future dental care needs.

I chose Forestview because they are close to where I live and are in my insurance network. I was impressed pretty much from the moment I walked in. the receptionist was very friendly and upbeat. The hygienist, Kim, was thorough and quick when taking the array of x-rays I needed, and worked with me as one or two of he plates were cutting a bit into my tongue. I also felt she was thorough and explained what was happening as she went on. The dentist himself, Dr. Andrew Kollath was thorough and also explanatory. He went over all the treatments I need in priority order, also explaining contingencies if certain things happen. As I need two teeth extracted, what really impressed me was he listed "do nothing once they are out" (as opposed to a bridge or implants) as on of my options. Previous dentists I have known would not have mentioned that. Overall I like this practice and am very glad I chose it.

He's extremely thorough and takes his time to answer your questions. My hygienist was wonderful as well. She did a great job during my cleaning and wasn't rough which I really appreciated. I will definitely see them in 6 months.
