Asked for Nesbit partial and kept getting told to get a acrylic flipper instead , said a Nesbit wouldn't work for me , well I ended up ordering one online and it works perfect and I spent $500 dollars on it and I almost bought the acrylic for the same price which would've been more uncomfortable other then somewhat tolerable like the Nesbit , they had an attitude with me , which made me have an attitude back , all in all I just didn't have a good experience but maybe they are good for other things. read more

Well, I have to update my review because Dr. Cory is now my HERO after clearing his morning yesterday to give me an emergency root canal. I had never had one before, and had no idea what to expect. On top of that, I have some pretty intense dental phobia from bad past dental experiences, so I usually take Valium the night before and morning of dental procedures. But Dr. Cory managed to put me enough at ease to go ahead with the procedure *sans Valium* on the spur of the moment. NGL, it was not my favorite way to spend a morning, but he and his staff were so caring and patient, they made the experience easier than I ever would have imagined. So I am going to stick with this Dentist office, even though scheduling time for cleanings is nearly impossible if you miss an appointment. The ability to put me at ease during a procedure is a rare quality, and worth any inconveniences I might have going forward. read more

I just want to say, I wish I would have changed my smile sooner in life. I had Dr Kallie at Larson Dental do a full mouth reconstruction of my teeth. All my life my teeth have been very small and I've never smiled, because I was not happy with the size of my teeth and how they looked . I now have new caps on all of my teeth and 4 veneers on the bottom lower front ones. I have a beautiful smile now and I smile all the time. I would strongly, recommend Larson Dental to have this type of work done. She is amazing! Fix your teeth if you have issues and are not happy with your smile. Don't wait like I did. I am a 28 year old woman who hates the dentist and they eased my anxiety so much and were so supportive when I was so nervous and emotional. They helped me through the entire thing and checked in on me frequently and would stop when I needed them to. I was so thankful and feel so lucky to have found a dentist in the city. As a young woman who never had pleasant experiences at the dentist, and learned to fear it I can happily say that Larson Dental (Northeast Minneapolis) has changed my whole perspective. From the second you walk in the office feels cozy, and the office staff is welcoming and kind. Dental assistants Ume and Kean took time to hear about my past experiences, concerns, and nervous jitters. They talked me though every aspect of the visits, and made sure to let me know that my comfort was their #1 concern (they both are also hilarious and it's a guarantee you will spend the whole visit laughing). Both Ume and Kean provide a sense of transparency, and understanding that is unlike any prior dentistry i have experienced. Dr. Nick truly is the best dentist I could have asked for. He filled all my necessary fillings, and provided me with multiple breaks and laughing tangents between. He provides his patients with an understanding, and compassionate environment which allows them to be vulnerable without fear of being judged. He also made sure to talk through every aspect of his work, and cautioned of future areas that could be a concern (in the future) purely so i can keep my eye on them. I would suggest Dr.Nick to anyone who has anxiety regarding dental work because he will completely put you at ease! Had such a wonderful experience with Penny and Dr. Larson! I have since moved out of state but am contemplating going back for my checkups when I am in town. The staff at Larson Dental are genuinely interested in the overall health of your mouth. They do not recommend bogus procedures and are honest and to the point! Larson Dentistry has changed my feelings towards the often-dreaded dentist visit. Before my appointment I was a little nervous - I hadn't been to the dentist in over a year and a half and was fairly anxious about the reception my mouth was going to get. My fears were completely banished the second I sat down in the chair. First off, the ladies at the front desk were upbeat and welcoming, and the waiting room is so comfortable, I could have waited there all day (but don't worry - I didn't. They came down to get me right on time for my appointment). My hygienist was phenomenal - really the whole reason for my exceptional visit. She was incredibly friendly and never once shamed me on my not-quite-perfect mouth care (Really, who on earth flosses twice a day I ask you?) She complemented me on my efforts, talked me through each step and checked in often to see how I was doing. I have never been a willing visitor to the dentists office but I can say I won't be sad to come back and visit the Larson office for my next cleaning. They have a customer for life! read more

I've been coming to Larson Dentist since I was young, so what ever I need done cleaning , fillings or what ever, I don't worry about it. Mainly because I tell the dentist "If you hurt me I'll have to hurt you back" My two hours at the dentist preparing for a bridge was not painful or seem long, as my dentist and his helper both were talkative to me and explain stuff and we actually had a few laughs. Dental emergency on a Friday night, while on vacation... called 5 places on Saturday morning and was no one could help. I called Larson Dental and the receptionist was extremely caring and helpful. I had not been to the dentist in over 2 years and was really nervous about going again. And as more time passed, the less I wanted to go. My former dentist often gave me "lectures" about my teeth, but it was not very helpful in terms of what I could change to improve my dental health. (Honestly I have nice teeth, which also made the "lectures" confusing and upsetting). I decided it was time to go actually found Larson Dental on Yelp. I agree completely with all of the reviews that have already been made but would love to add on to encourage others who are nervous about starting to go back to the dentist that you should go! The office is lovely and unique, the staff behind the reception desk were very warm and welcoming. They quickly got me settled in (you know with all of the new patient info) and I sat for a moment in the waiting room. It was great to sit there and see how the staff and hygienists knew all the other patients by name and genuinely welcomed them. My hygienist (I am terrible and forgot her name!) was amazing and really made my appointment great. She was very personable yet professional. She made sure all of my new patient questions were addressed, and helped encourage the care I was already doing on my teeth and gave honest/knowledgeable advice for what I could do better. I had Dr. Halberg as my dentist and he was great. He was understanding and not judgmental about my absence from the dentist but also made it clear that it was a good thing I started coming back. He was able to talk about my teeth using a vocabulary that I understood and would be beneficial to my future dental health. This is the first time in 20-some years I have left the dentist without feeling defeated! I am very excited that I have decided to go back and will be making another appointment in 6 months. I highly suggest going to Larson Dental if you are nervous about taking years off of and the state of your teeth. There are no lectures or judgment.
