I got a crown and a cleaning, and I'm very happy with my crown (so far). The cons, however, are... - They wrote down my birthday incorrectly, which at first was hilarious because I was flattered that they thought I was 18 yo. But then I was concerned that they wrote down the month, day AND year incorrectly. - After receiving my Novocain injection before applying my new crown, the Dr. left the room to let it set in. Several minutes later, I got up and looked around to give the hint like "hey, I'm still in here, let's get this show on the road". FFwd to 40+ freakin minutes later! The Dr. returned and said there was an emergency, which is understandable, but someone could have told me while I waited impatiently, instead of just blinking at me when I poked me head out of the room. - After paying, I asked the receptionist if I could have a toothbrush... and she said no! Even though they just got hundreds of dollars out of my new crown, they couldn't spare a toothbrush (only after I got a cleaning, she said). Jeez. - When I still did end up coming back for a cleaning (and finally my toothbrush hehe), the dental assistant scraped my teeth SO aggressively that I asked her to stop. Oof. TL;DR My teeth are clean and my crown is holding up, but I experienced some really bizarre service!

Matt greeted me promptly at 7:00 a.m. and prepped me, always his usual, courteous yet friendly self. His administration of novocaine was painless and he explained and double checked the procedure. Dr. D. then did the same, explaining each step as we went along while both he and his assistant kept me well rinsed and as comfortable as possible throughout. Visual scans confirmed everything that had been done and any questions I had were answered quickly and expertly. I have had some traumatic dental experiences in the past elsewhere, so was slightly hesitant going in. My family of 4 has been seeing the team at Parkway Dental for over a decade, though, so I know firsthand that they are beyond competent. They actually CARE about their patients. At no time did I feel unsafe or uncared for. I was even given a lovely fleece blanket that proved to be a great calming agent. Truly, though, it is their professionalism and compassionate care that shepherded me through. I go back in about a week for my permanent crowns and am actually looking forward to it!

The doctor and his assistant stayed late to make sure I got it and felt better. It was Friday afternoon. I even offered to go home and come back Monday so they didn't have to stay late and they said no, they didn't want me hurting all weekend. That's compassion!

A couple days after getting the filling it started jiggling around in my mouth because it wasn't adhered properly and had become loose. I went back to get it fixed and while fixing it he broke the rest of my tooth off to the gums. I had to have oral surgery to remove the roots from my gums. Because if that I declined having that dentist do any more work on my teeth. I went to schedule my cleaning today and I had been "dismissed" as a patient for refusing his recommendations. They are rude when you try to talk to them and overall made my oral health worse.

I had trouble finding dentists that would accept this coverage. So, I ended up going to Pro Dental. After this dental work, it was confirmed that I did in fact have exposed roots from the teeth filing performed without my consent, and had to find another dentist who accepted MA to perform an emergency root canal. This one simple procedure performed without consent when I was a minor has now cost me thousands of dollars. I have had a root canal performed, the tooth started to decay, and I have now had several fillings on this tooth fail and have had to pay out of pocket for a crown to be placed in hopes that I can save what is left of this tooth. Please; please, read these reviews and go somewhere else if you are on MA. Do not make the mistake I did when I was younger and naïve.
