Super Flush Plumbing - Ground movement caused this drain pipe break in Irving

    Super Flush Plumbing

We were in the process of selling our house in June 2025. The buyers ordered a plumbing inspection…read morethrough their own contractor, and a sewer line leak was found underneath our hallway bathroom. We also needed some repairs to our water heater, as well as replacing the water shutoff valves in the laundry room. We got three bids from different plumbers, and Super Flush Plumbing came in at the best price. The house was vacant, so any work performed had to be done without any supervision. The plumber, Hershel and his excavation crew, came out and dug an 8 foot tunnel underneath our house to reach the reported leak. After the pipe was repaired, he conducted further testing to see if the leak was fixed. All of a sudden it became "multiple leaks" that were found in the same bathroom, as well as a potential leak under our laundry room on the opposite side of the house. It started as a $5,300 sewer line repair--then they added on a $705 charge for (according to their invoice) "having to chip through a beam in order to make repair." Then it became an extra $150 charge to "replace angle stop at hall bath toilet." Then it became an extra $2,983 to fix one of the other "leaks" that were found in the bathroom. THEN, it became an extra $1,338 to replace the p-trap under our bathtub which was also "leaking." But wait, there's more! An additional charge of $783.91 to "replace waste and overflow with a/c condensate on hall bath tub." What started as a $5,300 sewer line repair turned into $11,260 in leak repairs. Combined with the water heater repairs and shutoff valve replacements in the laundry room, we had now spent a total of over $13,000. The buyers, who are already under contract, need every leak fixed before closing on the house. The plumber then conducts further testing on the rest of the house. Sure enough, he confirms there is indeed a leak underneath our laundry room. In order to reach the leak, we can pay a couple thousand dollars to dig another tunnel under the house--OR, we can with the much "cheaper" option and let him jackhammer a hole in our dining room floor for another $3,200. He then tells me he's "pretty sure" we have a potable water leak at our water meter, as the box is constantly filling up with water. This was officially the nail-in-the-coffin and were ready to move on and find another plumber. Meanwhile, work has yet to be completed on the previous bathroom repairs--Hershel needed to backfill the concrete that was dug out of our bathroom floor during the repair process. The 8-foot tunnel that was dug under the house also needed to be backfilled. At the beginning of this whole saga, we had paid Super Flush about 50% up front before work could begin. Hershel informs me that they are requiring the full payment to be submitted before they can backfill the tunnel and concrete. I informed him that I've never had a contractor or vendor EVER require full payment before work was completed. He then tells me he needs to "ensure that we get paid. We have to pay these guys to put all the dirt back." Uh, we've already paid you several thousand in work...you're telling me you don't have the reserve funds to pay the dirt crew? He then says "We are a reputable company and that is not how we work." He agrees to finish the work and we pay him what's due. We decided to hire a master plumber, with 30+years experience, to come out and perform another leak test. His report showed that there was NO LEAK found under the laundry room and NO LEAK at our water meter--it was just groundwater filling up the box. A few days later, we hired a sprinkler system company to replace the double-check valve (which we knew we've been needing for a while), and they also confirmed there is no leak at our water meter. Ultimately, my wife and I should have trusted our gut a lot sooner and recognized we were getting screwed. We're not handy with repair work, so we just trusted what Super Flush told us was needed. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it ended up costing my family several thousand dollars that were "flushed" away.

My first visit is with Bryson Donaldson, he over quoted and way under delivery. His quality of work is like hiring a guy from Craigslist. He replaced two laundry valve both with the same color and a shower stopper, all parts value under $100 and spent less that 1 hours, he wanted to charge $800, that $700 for labor.... Laundry panel was broken but he didn't even bother to replace it, which would cost about $40 including the two valves. Secondly he cut open the wall to install the new tube, said that's not his job to fix the wall as he's not a sheet wall guy. ... Could have told me before he started. I'm doing this review because I don't want anyone to get rip off and unprofessional quality work. I will include pictures so people can decide. Good thing I called the owner Travis and he came out and re-do everything, pictures included for comparison. I will never do business with anyone at Bow Tie Plumbing unless it's Travis and the bill is half what it was with exceptional quality. I know that every great business sometime higher bad employee. But what good is the owner understand and is willing to fix and that is a great value in a business. And I'd like to thank Travis again for his awesome work and willingness to correct his employee error.

What initially created the need for the call was a gas fireplace that would not ignite I had previously tried ChatGPT, called a chimney sweep company, and even called the previous owner of my house, all to no avail. Within a few minutes of of arriving, Jordan was able to locate the hidden shut off for the gas fireplace and get it working pretty promptly. While here, he was able to notice a couple of other things that needed attention. My tankless water heater had been installed incorrectly by the previous plumber, and the technicians from Hukill's were able to manage that. And also, when it came to a clogged sink in our master bathroom, they were able to address that as well. By the end of our time together I had heard some good stories from Jordan, I was able to practice my French with Joseph and most importantly had a lot of small annoyances cleared up (literally) leaving my home in better functioning order than when they arrived. Gas Fireplace working Tankless water heated sorted Master bathroom sink I would recommend these guys for the following reasons: * Expertise * Friendly, personable and professional service guys * On time * Fair prices Again, big shout out to Jordan and Joseph. Great service and overall good experience. Thanks for increasing my trust in plumbers.

Today Jordan and Chase did the work on my kitchen sink. I was very pleased with their work and with the service.
