We got bids from four companies to do a complete replacement of HVAC. Of the four, CoolMark was very competitive on price, but with add-ones (free two year service checks, MUCH better warranty, added filter for system) we went with them. The owner, Mark, was also the most informative. We did an evaluation and needed a 5 ton system, originally to be a Trane system, plus a separate job for blown-in insulation. The price of ALL of that was less, by about $3000, than the highest bid we received for a 4 ton unit! From the beginning, Mark was extremely responsive. There was a delay due to Trane waiting for stock on Compressor. When after a two weeks (during which Mark came back 3 or 4 times to "top off" our freon so that we were never uncomfortable) it became obvious that Trane wasn't going to be feasible, we settled on an Amana 5 ton, 16 SEER, two-stage unit. Again, price was less than 4-ton, 14 SEER estimates from others. Installation was today. They came exactly on time, were here most of day adjusting system so that it worked perfectly, and I should add that we also got a WiFi thermostat, too. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cool Mark Heating and AIr for system repair or replacement, as well as regular, ongoing service - which we will definitely take advantage of. GREAT COMPANY! read more

In a business where big companies try to sell you new units instead of fixing them, it was refreshing to come across an honest business and worker who take pride in their work. I had another A/C repairman come by earlier who said the compressor was shot and I needed a whole new unit. I sent him on his way after paying for a service call. I researched the net and came across Coolmark heating and refrigeration which had some good reviews. I gave them a call and Mark said I'd have someone at the house by 5 PM. He then called at 4 PM and assured me the repair man would be at my house by five (who does that anymore?) and he was. Frederick did a system check, said compressor was good and found that capacitor had gone bad. Cost was a fraction of what a new unit would have cost. They have a loyal customer for life! read more

My air conditioner wasn't cooling and was blowing hot air. When I realized my home wasn't cooling I reached out to Mark, the owner of Cool Mark Heating and Air. I hired him to do some work for me at my previous home and he was very professional, punctual, and reasonably priced. After speaking with Mark and telling him the issue he arrived within about an hour to my home, took a look at my unit and replaced the Run Capacitor. I liked that the business owner, Mark, showed up in a mask which made me feel he was taking my health into consideration. After a full check up he discovered all I needed was a copasator and not a whole new system. He changed the part and within minutes my AC was up and running.
