Have you ever found yourself in distress because your A/C failed in the middle of a hot summer weekend and the big name company that you have been paying a maintenance contract for years takes forever to get to your place and before they even remove the cover they already prepare you for an expensive fix? Well it just happened to me and their idea of a fix was to sell me a new unit for an amount north of $5K. I am glad I did not let them take advantage of my urgency to cool my house. I will always feel good about my decision of calling immediately Cooling Dynamics Inc. Mr. Joe Grocki acknowledged my distress and managed to get to my house so fast that I could hardly believe it. His approach was courteous, he understood my constraints and agreed to proceed with the option that was harder for him but saved me the most. My compressor was damaged, and he agreed to replace the part. He first promised to call me early the next day as soon as the supplier confirmed the availability of the part and he did. It was clear that he had me as a priority that morning. He explained the details of the costs and tried to make it as affordable to me as possible. He was with another customer that morning and offered to pick up the part and be in my place between 1 and 3 pm, he showed up at 12:45 pm!! Amazing, my experience with A/C service has always been that time windows mean nothing, and you just had to sit and wait all day long. Finally, he had to work extremely hard and at the end he was still focused in taking all the needed steps to test the system was working perfect. No need to call him back but he did check the next day if I was satisfied with his work. First of all, they most definitely do not follow mask or social distancing protocol like they say they do..so if that's important, forget it. Most importantly..and I emphasize this strongly...get a 2nd and 3rd estimate after you speak with these guys. For the first visit they will make it seem like they're super reasonable...and for that first visit, maybe they will be. After that, you will be charged a hell of a lot more than any other estimate you will get. They are also not up front about the breakdown of what they will be charging and exaggerate to the point of ridiculousness. Perhaps they think you won't do your own research (or at least they will HOPE you do not). Anyhow, thank goodness something told me to get more estimates, as I started to sense a bit of an attitude from one of the guys when I asked questions. I saved $700 by doing so. And I won't even get into how these guys told me that they had to wait on a part because the company they bought it from was out of stock. The guys I chose to go with for this project got the part the same day from the exact place where it was supposedly "out of stock till next week". Seems like they wanted me to wait for the service to get done when it was convenient for them, and used the "out of stock" crap as an excuse. Dishonesty gets you no where. Air Conditioner Repair. I really can not say enough good things about Joe Grocki and Cooling Dynamics. Last Friday, at 3:45pm, I heard my air conditioner making an odd noise. I immediately contacted Joe and let him know. He was at my home in just about an hour. He diagnosed the problem, got the unit stabilized and offered me options for a long term solution. It turned out, the power surges and rapid outages the day before had damaged something inside the unit. I made an appointment for a long term repair/replacement of the part, but when the appointment day came, I had to reschedule. Without hesitation, Joe rescheduled around my availability- which happened to be a holiday weekend. Joe was at my home promptly at our scheduled time on the 4th of July. He finished the job, left no mess behind and was back out the door within 90 minutes. It wasn't long after that my AC went out and to my surprise and gratitude Joe came over within a few hours. Our A.C. unit stopped working and these guys came out same day. Our A.C. unit died and they had it installed and the house cold again in 2 days. The owner himself walked me step by step from what had happened to the old unit to why it was time to get a new one...and there were no high pressure sales tactics, which I appreciated greatly. I highly recommend Cooling dynamics. The communication is the best. They return calls in a timely manner, explain their work, and leave the job clean and neat. I originally used them to replace my duct work and they did a fabulous job. Later I had solar panels installed and as part of that the solar company changed my electrical panel. Somehow my AC was rendered inoperable. After the other company spent 2 days trying to get it working I called Joe. Hi Joe came to our home this am to install a wifi thermostat. My wife was the one who found him company on yelp, we are big yelp fans. For restaurants, pest control, AC etc. Joe was more than 30 mins early which great. He was very friendly and professional. We spoke about precautions with Covid-19 and took the necessary precautions.
