Hello, I have (on numerous occasions, over the years) hired KBK Woodworking, [Essex MA] for design…read moreand custom home improvements... I'm not sure why I haven't thought to share my experiences. This is my first review I have ever written. I am as fussy a homeowner that you will find, mitre joints, and finish work [before the paint], are my tell~tales. Simply stated, Bill Fraga and his workers are the most meticulious, conscious driven, full of pride group, I have ever hired. I am 55 years old, recently purchase my third home, (+/- 4900 ft. sq.) and for the past 12 months have completly redesigned our (new to us) home on the ocean. Every detail is executed with pride. The communication with Bill, my wife and myself is effortless, as he is usually answering our questions before we ask. His calm demeanor, vision, honest estimates, and easy approach is what sets him apart from all other contractors we hired in the 90's. In October 2021, Bill agreed to take on the roll of General Contractor, the reason being, beyond our carpentry needs, our ; Excavating, Permitting, Septic, Carpeting, Generator, Electrical, Plumbing, Masonry, Flashing, Gutters, Duct Work, Tiling, Painting, Waste Removal, is overlooked-by, and hired by him. What a true luxury to have the best finish carpentry, framing carpentry, AND all the additional logistics taken care of.... his group of subordinates display the same pride, and courtesy as his crew. The experience has a true family like feeling, which has made our home a show place for our entertaining, family gathering, and every day joy!!!!!! We feel so lucky to have hired KBK..... jus' my thoughts!

We were referred to Bob at Fabrizio Kitchen and Bath by my parents who had purchased a bath vanity…read morefrom him. Bob helped us select a double sink vanity, linen cabinet, single sink vanity as well as cabinetry for a wet bar and a matching kitchen cabinet. Bob helped us address a particularly tricky area next to our refrigerator and under a support beam where we wanted to incorporate new cabinets including a trash cabinet to match the rest of the kitchen. He also helped us with ordering coordinating trim and moldings. At one of meetings, he realized he had overcharged us $80 in the calculations and told us and lowered the price! It was so refreshing to work with someone so honest. Bob delivered all the cabinets in a timely fashion so the carpenter onsite could install them. I wouldn't hesitate to work with or order from him again.

Update as of 11/21/10:…read more Per my last paragraph I'm amending my review to update it to 5 stars. All the details are finalized and the fit/finish is fantastic. Couldn't be happier. Although it looks like the Yelp over zealous filter struck another one of my reviews....this one. If you are reading this, I am not a robot!!! ******************************************************* Ok, this deserves some background... I had been looking at remodeling my kitchen for about 2 years before finally pulling the trigger and deciding to invest in the upgrade. Remodeling a kitchen I learned (or any other part of your house I guess) is daunting and I wanted to make sure I was ready for it. Bottom line: 1. I'm happy I decided to do so and 2. I'm really happy I went with Advanced Custom (more on this later). My kitchen was in rough shape, the previous owners didn't take good care of the original wood flooring and the linoleum counter tops were coming up at the edges and just plain outdated. The main goal was to redo the cabinets (wish I had snapped pics of the before cabinets) as they were falling apart at the seams...errr hinges. When I first began my search for a someone to do the work I went straight to the web. I found a couple potential suitors and talked to most of them including ACC. When I called ACC I ended up talking to the owner on several occasions as he explained the process, options I had, pricing, timetable, etc. he also provided samples, look books, throughout the entire process. ACC wasn't the only place I was considering but I had the best interaction with them and their price point was on target for what I wanted done. I did however come to Yelp and saw their lone review and inquired about it. Wayne was upfront in addressing this and apparently the woman who wrote the review purchased her cabinets from a different owner of ACC 5+ years ago, but has since been extended the option to fix the issue. This comforted me and I decided to go with ACC. Part of what I really liked and appreciated in the whole process was the benefit of using their customization -- I had unlimited choices of wood and finish. For instance, I was able to color match the stain color on my red birch wood with the gloss on the finish to exactly what looked the best. One of the potential hurdles that caused me the most stress was the beams on my ceiling and vent ducting along a section of the wall where the cabinets were to go. There ended up being no issues as the guys were able to customize to make it work and look perfect. Everyone at ACC was pleasant and easy to work with, from Wayne to the installers and all those in between --They all get my recommendation. I'm only giving 4 stars as of now because there is still some alignments, tweaks and hardware to be installed (door pulls). Once everything is in and finished with I'll come back to amend this review.
