They also send out reminder cards, birthday cards, seasonal greetings, community activities for kids, and give you free dental supplies (if needed) after an appointment. You don't send forms to be completed before the visit and then accost the patient for completing them. And you don't lie within 10 minutes of meeting someone and expect them to stay. I showed up on time. I filled out all the forms and talked with the tech/doctor. Margie comes over and says, "You're early." "Uh, I'm here on time." "Well, we didn't expect you to have the forms filled out. So right now, you need to stay here and relax." She pulled my tech away, who then sheepishly came back. "Did Margie say I was early?" "Well, you're not early, but..." "Is there a patient ahead of me?" "Um. Yes." "So you overbooked?" "Well, your paperwork wasn't supposed to be done, and..." She said it would be 20 minutes, but the patient ahead of me hadn't even been seated. I left. If your practice is comfortable lying within 10 minutes of meeting me while shifting the blame for overbooking, there is no way you're touching me. Yes ,you were in on time for your check in at 11 am and you were very efficient with your paperwork done. We brought you back before 11:30 which is why I mention that we would be a little longer before we could Start the exam process. I'm sorry if this wasn't conveyed to you on the initial phone conversation about check in Time and when we actually bring you back. We would never over book a patients appointment . We really want to be able to give you and all our patients equality time and earn the patients trust. If you felt that you were "accosted" regarding filling out your paperwork I would like to know what happen so I can address the employee. We always want to treat people with respect . As too the medical trauma that you were mentioning it is of great importants that we take into consideration with the patients medical history before we ever proceed with any treatment on a patient. However, the transition period last fall was not optimal as it coincided with cracked fillings (originating from another dentist) and a chipped, then broken crown (darn choc chip cookies, cocoa nibs, artisan bread) that needed attention. Really I drank a dairy farm in my youth and I don't eat rocks for breakfast...teeth don't just break! Those were anxious times of no timely dental cleanings, rotating dentists and hygienists from agencies. Even waited in the parking lot with this motley crew. My replacement crown also went missing...guess it was totally done with the I-5 commute. That hot black market illicit cartel of custom made crowns or some squirrel wearing a tiara crown (pun intended). Yes, it was becoming that ludicrous. You have to laugh or break down and cry in frustration. Props go to *Kate* for holding the dental practice together where she even followed up with patients with her own cell phone. She was the main reason to stick it out, especially after yet another mortifying recent dental mishap breaking a front left crown (grapes)! All Family Shoreline Dental is now overseen by Drs. Sammy B.D. Pak and Negin Nazarian. No more revolving door of dental temporaries. I warily saw Dr. Nazarian 4/3/18, but she was professional, thorough, and put me at ease. She reattached my broken crown after Xrays and impressions were taken. She presented my permanent options moving forward. She reattached this crown again on 4/17/18 (baklava). I met Dr. Pak on my dreaded 4/26/18 appointment since I didn't know much about dental implants. Again, the information provided and his demeanor, I relaxed as best I could before the root canal post, dental bone extraction, and the new screw foundation were initiated. The audible drilling sounds were not great and I kept my eyes shut during the two hour procedure. Yes, the local area was numbed up and after was fitted with a temporary flipper retainer. Also, I was placed on short term antibiotic and pain management post treatment. I received a thorough follow-up via email about sutures and completed my one week appointment on 5/3/18. My son has his long overdue dental cleaning scheduled on 5/7/18 (so he will the first to report on the state of their dental hygienists) and my final dental implant session is not until 6/7/18. Seems lame to have dental appointments around our respective birthdays, but dental health is very important. Plus this Yelper wants to eat and resume my social calendar with confidence again! Dr. Pak, Dr. Nazarian, and their professional staff at All Family Shoreline Dental start a new chapter at this current, established location. During my very extensive x-rays with Lacy I was distracted, given very helpful tips, and treated with compassion. She had so many tips/tricks to help me not gag! Dr. Moody was kind, gentle, and didn't give me any anxiety as many other dentists have. I didn't feel shame or judgement from him either. My cleaning by Julie was thorough and I was so impressed at how gentle she was. I normally leave a dentist office with an extremely raw and sore mouth having been poked multiple times. She also gave me the most thorough tips I've been given for oral care. I really appreciated the time and effort everyone took in helping explain my aftercare. I felt seen and valued throughout my entire visit. I have zero anxiety over going into my scheduled procedures and doing my regular cleanings. We immediately switched back and discovered the service had even gotten better while we were gone! If you're looking for a great local dentist, look no further. The hygienist Anna was rough when she took photos of my teeth and performed the cleaning. When I made "ouch" sounds and clearly signaled her that she had hurt my gum, she didn't even apologize or try to be more careful. Then the hygienist told me that I had more than 10 cavities even before the dentist showed up to look at my X ray. I was surprised because I have not had any cavities for over 10 years and during this time I have seen 3 different dentists. When the dentist came, Anna told him I had 10 cavities and he confirmed it. I questioned how could I develop 10 cavities within a year since my last exam. He explained the X ray can detect more cavities than what we can see with bare eyes, but he didn't show me where the 10 cavities were on the X ray. At the end of my visit, the hygienist Anna printed me a "treatment plan" of 5 appointments for fillings, and $1,040 out of pocket after insurance payment. I didn't trust this dentistry and decided to switch. I visited a dentist office in Edmonds today and had an exam and cleaning. The dentist office received my last X ray image from Bright 32 and took additional x ray images. They reviewed both with me and said I had very healthy teeth. The hygienist said I do a good job cleaning my teeth and my dental clean appointment was short and easy. I found the "Treatment Plan Estimate" from Bright 32 last year and I wonder how much money they made from patients and insurance companies when no treatment was needed. Stay away!

I did not feel the cleaning I got here was done very well, and a follow up six months later seemed to confirm that, because the second hygienist felt that there was tartar that was old that should have been removed previously. The hygienist here outlined an extensive treatment plan without explaining anything at all about what was actually wrong. I had gone for what I expected to be a routine appointment with no symptoms. I asked a lot of questions and got better information, but they should have provided the diagnostic information first. You shouldn't have to ask for that and then have to continue to ask questions to drag the information out of them. The treatment plan was very aggressive, and of course, very expensive - nearly $10,000, and that was only "Phase 1." I was told there would be a phase 2 and that it would be even more expensive, but we didn't get far enough for an actual quote on that. I was given a lot of push back when asking about more conservative approaches. I saw two other dentists for additional opinions and they both felt that I could do nothing and the risk of the problems getting worse would be very small. One of them felt that Dr. Brenner's plan was reasonable but more aggressive than necessary and the other felt that it was inappropriately aggressive. If you're someone who likes to take the most aggressive option and is not concerned about costs, this guy might be ok. I acknowledge that there is an upside to aggressive treatment - there is a small risk my situation could get worse with more conservative measures. Aggressive treatment would mean spending a lot of money up front but eliminating that risk. Also, he does not do even simple extractions - he has his brother do them, which seems kind of weird. I've never had a general dentist who couldn't do simple non-surgical extractions. And the brother has had DOH disciplinary action taken against him. Overall impression is that this practice is excessively profit-driven.
