They will even grab you a fresh baked one out the back upon request. I stumbled on this hidden gem one day after a my last craving for a waffle cone was unfulfilled at a franchise frozen yogurt spot. I won't name any names, but I hadn't been to the unnamed commercial spot in over 20 years. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The waffle cone was stale and had a tinge of plastic taste. I literally thought I'd been poisoned. After looking up ice cream spots with good reviews, my daughter and I found Emmy's. It was not a disappointment at all. The ice cream flavors were limited but very premium. Although they don't make their own ice cream in-house, they get it from the best place I can think of ordering ice cream from - Wisconsin. They have a ton of really premium toppings for a great price too. Most are just $.50, with some of the nut toppings costing a dollar. My daughter tried their orange sorbet with gummy bears and the swear, they were the best gummy bears I've ever tried. I went straight for my go-to, pistachio almond. When I tell you it's stood up to some of the best Italian creamery pistachio I've had in my home town of New Orleans, I'm not exaggerating. Creamy, rich ice cream with an abundance of pistachio. All I needed was one scoop. So amazing and flavorful. Being skeptical after my last botched experience getting a waffle cone at a major franchise dessert spot, I decided to get my ice cream in their signature waffle cone. Oh. My. Goodness. It's like a confection by itself. Delicately buttery, perfectly sweet and super crispy. I hear they even make waffle cone nachos?! Aside from having great dessert, the staff is friendly and they have a nice little sitting area, complete with a soda-shop type bar to sit. It's not a question of if I'll be back, but if I'll be able to pass it up when I'm in the vicinity. Delicious!

Their hamburgers were 2nd to none in my opinion. The flavor of their burgers was unmistakable. Perfectly seasoned. My family & I loved their food & looked forward to it when one us would say "Duffy's tonight".... That's what I said today at work & now I've home for about 30 minutes & I can't believe my eyes or my taste buds. This burger is bland. Almost no flavor. DEFINITELY NOT a Duffy's burger. The platy is clearly, unmistakably a pre-made, likely fake hamburger patty. I absolutely can not believe this. I am beyond unsatisfied & I have NEVER had a complaint about Duffy's in the past. I also ordered seasoned cajun fries & these fries have no seasoning. Barely any salt. I honestly can't believe I wasted my money on Duffy's today. I would have NEVER ever imagined that I would be writing this kind of review about DUFFY'S. I don't believe that I will be ordering again. This is a sad thing to say after years upon years of throughly enjoying the food at Duffy's Diner. I guess all good things come to an end.

Young waitresses are spending way too much time at tables carrying long conversations while customers are waiting. This place can stay busy if they learn the hustle. Service more tables in a shift you get more tips. I guess they don't understand that math. We left a nice tip even though we didnt feel she earned it. She forgot my husbands gravy for his chicken fried steak and when we asked about it again she said, "Fa real?" and blamed it on the person who brought the food who said the gravy was coming. I think it was her responsibility to follow up on if we had everything, but the long conversations with other customers got him through half his meal before she finally came. It finally came half way through his meal. This all sounds petty but businesses will survive when they listen to reviews and fix the issues. We'll give them another try one day and see what happens.
