I ordered a cake from there for my birthday and I was expecting the normal cake that I have ordered before. When I tasted the cake the icing was not the same. I called and told them that there was whipped cream icing on the cake and I did not order that because I do not like whipped cream. They informed me that they changed from the old icing to the whipped one. I told them I was not informed that they use whipped icing now. She told me that they do not tell you they use the whipped icing. I then replied if I was told this then I would not have ordered the cake. I preceeded to asked if I can get a refund or another cake with the correct icing. The owner said that she could not refund my money or take the cake back because we had taken a slice from the cake. I informed her that how would I have known it was the wrong icing if I had not tried it. I told her that I would have even taken a store credit. The owner was rude and refused to do nothing. I will definitely not be back there again. read more

There are of couple of flavors that I like that are hard to find elsewhere (or just better), but there are also some that I would rather buy in a store. The Oreo Cookies & Cream uses actual Oreo cookies, so that's a plus. But, the Reese's Peanut Butter cup flavor does not use actual candy pieces you would expect if you bought a Reese's from the store. The difference might seem trivial, but the chocolate pieces in the Reese's ice cream from Baskin Robbins feel waxy and not like real chocolate; the same goes for the mint chocolate chip variety's pieces. Some flavors are hard to find in a store, so they are nice to find at BR; one example would be "Creole Cream Cheese," available seasonally. As far as value, I feel BR is priced too high. I say so because Haagen-Dazs costs a bit less, and it tastes better than BR ice cream. With Haagen-Daz, the chocolate pieces aren't waxy; they melt away like real chocolate. Still, if you visit BR on certain days of the week, there are specials that make it worth your money; and, you can conveniently and easily top it with your favorite topping on the spot. Overall, I would say it's a fun place for kids, but I prefer to go only on certain days for the specials they offer. I prefer HD store-bought ice cream versus any similar BR flavor; but BR offers certain varieties I can't buy in a store and can top it off with hot fudge or caramel. (Call or ask about which weekdays offer which specials.) read more

While I didn't try a huge selection of goods, if the Blueberry Lemon cupcake is any indication, their cupcakes are MOIST and flavorful! My fave item I tasted was the strawberry cookie. It had a slight cake taste/texture and the white chocolate chips added a creamy richness YUM! The item I got for myself was a slice of cheesecake. You're allowed to add toppings like fruit or chocolate free of charge. I got chocolate and pecans - glad I added this because sadly I didn't love the cheesecake. It lacked sweetness and there were tiny clumps throughout. The best part is the prices! "Instagram" bakeries are dominating the game right now, and they can hurt the pockets, but Fudge It has beautiful, yummy treats at a very reasonable price point!
