    Corroded circuit board

    At one point this may have been a great company with reliable, made-in-America products. The first misting system I purchased from them many years ago gave me over 10 years of reliable, trouble free misting action, with great customer service. Since then, I feel obligated to report that both the product and the customer service have gone abysmally downhill. When the original unit I bought stopped functioning one year ago, I bought a replacement high pressure system that turned out to be a total lemon. It never worked from the start, and after several months of complaints with the owner, I was sent a new 1000 psi pressure unit that was billed as the "ultimate misting system." It worked great initially with indeed a very nice mist. But after 50 hours, this unit also stopped working. I was able to reach technical support and they give me a few suggestions for trouble shooting. When I looked inside the unit, I was surprised to see that the circuit board was completely corroded. I called the support line over a dozen times but no one ever returned my phone calls. Multiple emails to their support line also went unreturned. Now I am stuck with a corroded, completely useless piece of junk. And the company simply just does not care. While I can accept the fact that mechanical systems sometimes fail, what is unacceptable to me is that a company can care so little about its customers, that they repeatedly ignore their request for service and help. I will never buy a product from them again, and I would urge anyone considering to do so to be very careful.

    Love the system we got, makes the summer days much nicer in the backyard. David was great about sending replacement parts. Local installer Rob was superb to work with. Overall couldn't be happier.

    Just purchased a SMPOLARIS30S in mediterranean blue 9x9 and if you have some extra $ I strongly recommend for those without the option to mount it in the ground to get the stainless steel 200lbs pound. I got two of those bad boys for a 9x9 + 100 pound + mounting small plate. The result will provide a flowless support. When closed the umbrella looked like the mat of a sailboat or a catamaran mast standing proud in front of the city background. I placed my order during COVID-19 shelter and David provided fantastic support including a quick Facetime to make sure I was not buying a model too big for my dedicated space. we were treated like VIP with status update for any delay and when it shipped oh boy we got it the next day from Las Vegas to San Francisco

Our HVAC system completely died in 2024. We were using AC window units and floor heaters, because we did not think we could afford a new system...until Bob's! I used co-pilot to get the top 10 rated HVAC companies in the Vegas Valley and Bob's was ranked #1. I called and spoke to Alexis, who was so warm & patient, getting us scheduled with Adan the next day for a quote. Adan was SO incredibly through & HONEST. After looking over what we needed he gave us a quote that was literally half what we expected *including a year of service as well!! We were able to finance through a partnership that Bob's has with Wells Fargo, for only $155 a month with great rates! We were scheduled the following Monday for installation. The installation team of Francis, Darwin & Jathan showed up on time and went straight to work. Our home was built in 1962 and has old funky everything honestly. I had a real concern about the new equipment fitting without a ton of expensive retrofitting. Well, the entire job was completely done within 6 hours and without a single hitch! Francis did an amazing job, magically fitting the new Trane Air Handler, where the old one was, with literally inches to spare! Jathan was able to also fit our new water heater into the small, tiny outbuilding miraculously as well! Darwin did such a meticulous job getting the HVAC unit installed outside perfectly with all the lines placed neatly and wrapped for UV protection! I was overjoyed to see the new circuit breakers for both the water heater and HVAC unit as well! Everything was done at such a Professional level, I was truly blown away! These Guys absolutely know what there are doing and were extremely polite, efficient & hard working. They cleaned up after themselves and left things literally cleaner than when they began! Energy & vibration are EVERYTHING and every employee I dealt with was STELLAR! I am now comfortably sitting in my climate-controlled home, with nice clean warm water...HAPPY as can be! I had ongoing issues with an AC unit that was installed about four years ago, and while I'll spare the full story, I do want to highlight the employees who turned a very stressful situation into a positive customer experience. Cristofer was assigned to the job, and what stood out most was his ability to quickly identify the root cause of the problem and present effective solutions. He was patient, professional, and never once made me feel like my concerns were a burden. Having worked with him on multiple occasions, I can confidently say he consistently demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer service. Well done, Cristofer! I'd also like to acknowledge Donavan, the VP. After experiencing these issues, I reached out to discuss my concerns and was told he would return my call. To my surprise, he did exactly that. Donavan took the time to listen carefully and worked toward a resolution. Based on Cristofer's expertise and professionalism, along with Donavan's responsiveness and leadership, it's clear that this company values its customers and fosters a customer-focused culture from the top down. Unfortunately, that also put him in a very uncomfortable position when he had to quote my elderly mother $1,669 (after discounts) for a capacitor replacement on the casita split unit and a Max Air hard start on the main house unit. My mother is retired military and elderly and has maintained regular biannual service with your company. At the last service visit nothing was flagged as a problem. We understand HVAC work costs money and we do not expect anyone to work for free. However, a capacitor typically costs under $200 and a Max Air hard start retails around $399, so a bill approaching $1,700 during a warranty-related visit feels excessive. This is particularly frustrating because we previously experienced losing AC during 115° heat and had to sit in a 97° house for two days waiting on parts. We also waited several additional days for the casita split repair and even had to have a wall replaced with metal because the original unit was unavailable. After such experiences during the heat and being told our warranty would be void should we seek alternatives, my family feels boxed in. Alex handled everything professionally and kindly. Our frustration is not with him, but with the pricing structure and the difficult position technicians are put in when explaining these costs to long-time customers, especially elderly and military families. While I do not expect this review to change your policies, I want it documented that loyal customers notice when pricing feels excessive and they are pushed due to the weather conditions, past experiences and or their warranty being voided if they price compare aka shop during warranty-related visits.

    My first experience with them was about 2.5 years ago when I found them on Yelp. They came and…read moreconcluded my unit outside was too old to be repaired, so we needed a new unit outside (4K). We proceeded with the job without asking for a second opinion (big mistake) but also assumed we will not have issues for a while. Well this summer that compressor failed. I had forgotten about hvac connection (I have been using different companies for small jobs since) but after three different companies told me the compressor is not working I realized it was still under warranty, so they advised to call who installed it. I called hvac connection, they came out and initially I did not mention someone else had looked and checked the units (upstairs and downstairs). After the first check they informed me the unit upstairs is failing and needs to be replaced. They can try fixing it for about $550 but if that doesn't work, it will cost me 4-5k to replace the unit. At this moment, I thought something was fishy - I mean, the unit had just been checked by literally three companies. So, I informed him I don't think that is the issue as different techs came out and confirmed the unit up is just fine and the compressor is dead. At this point, the answer was "yes. The compressor doesn't sound good either". They went ahead and did a "warranty replacement" that cost me $600 for labor (20 min worth of labor). After all this, the AC is still not working and the tech proceeds to tell me "he told me this would not fix my issue" and asked for the payment for the labor. At this point, I asked them to leave the old compressor because I want to confirm with the manufacturer the unit that was replaced (at this point, I don't even know if they used a new compressor for the warranty etc) - the tech told me if I want to keep that I need to pay an extra $500 because he needs to return the warranty to the manufacturer and I needed to cover its cost if I wanted to keep it (please note, how the cost is less than what I was charged for labor for a warranty). I then had a different company come look at the unit. Once again it was confirmed the upstairs unit is just fine (and as a matter of fact, it is working for months at this point for heat). However, he said the compressor is badly installed, the old filter was left inside, and there is a connection to some pipe that was not done correctly. He quoted the entire job at 1000 as there's apparently a lot of cleaning up to do after a poor job I then let hvac connection know I have a report from a different company with a summary of all the errors and how there is an extra filter left inside and there are multiple issues with the installation). They said they would come out again "in a few weeks" because they were so busy to fix it and disappeared. I then contacted them again and they promised a refund via check and told me to use someone else. And if the new compressor is problematic anyone else with a license would be able to fix it (because all hvac companies out there cannot wait to come and clean up messes made by unprofessional companies). I agreed however - at this point I want nothing to do with them. A month later, still no refund. I went ahead and filed a chargeback and did get the money back, but it was such a nightmare. They clearly try to upsell and replace units that can be repaired and it doesn't look like they know what they are doing when they replace the unit either. I would NEVER use them again - they are not honest and they did an extremely poor job.

Joel was timely and personable and completed the job with no problems. I highly recommend Joel, and his company HVAC Connection. You can trust that you are getting exactly what you need at a reasonable price.
