Almost done with season 2 of my system. So far good to go. Got the high pressure system. Updated: 2026 - Everything is still working great after 3 yrs. I read a lot of reviews before I bought and was nervous about the pump (high pressure white one with handle), but happy to say Ive had no issues. Its stored and operates inside a outdoor large closet so its away from the elements. For winter I bring it in the house and Im also sure to change the oil every spring. read more

I have not owned my Cool Off Misting Systems setup very long, but it has been a disappointing experience. It was significantly more expensive than comparable systems, yet a small part broke early on. I called and emailed the company several times and received little to no response. When I finally reached someone by phone, I was promised that a replacement part would be sent. It never arrived. I followed up again, explained the situation, and was again told it would be handled--but I still never received the part. As a result, I have been unable to use the system for the entire summer. For the price, I expected better quality and much better customer support. In my experience, the product has not held up well, and the company has not stood behind it when I needed help. Based on my experience, I would not purchase from Cool Off Misting Systems again. read more

David, thanks for the expert advice! The unit was simple to install, and it works perfectly! Our patio is now comfortable and approximately 10-15 degrees cooler!! In Palm Springs, CA that 15 degrees makes a big difference!! Joe S read more

The best thing ever had a hard time putting it together and Dave from the company called me back immediately and walked me through it. Can't recommend it enough we moved from Southern California to the South Carolina coast and this fan has been a game changer. Solid materials you can adjust the flow of the mist. Can't praise these guys ENOUGH 5 Stars excellent customer service read more

Very disappointed with this product. This is my second Cool-Off misting pump, and it failed just one month after the warranty expired. That alone is frustrating, but what makes it worse is the lack of support. Customer service is extremely difficult to reach, and when you do, there's little to no willingness to help or stand behind the product. For something at this price point, you would expect better durability and at least some level of post-warranty goodwill. Overall, poor reliability and even worse customer service. I would not recommend this brand. read more

I found Cool-Off on the internet. I gave them a call and David was super helpful. Very knowledgeable and shipping was super prompt. Th system was easy to install and with our extreme heat in the Las Vegas area, the system performs extremely well. It makes our back patio bearable and we have begun using it a lot. Dave and his team were very helpful! read more

I live in SC and I purchased a high pressure misting system for my back porch. It did not work and all it did was make everything soaking wet. This is after I was told that it would work in high humidity. I tried smaller nozzles and that did not work. So Cool-Off said if I would purchase a misting fan they would give me a second for free and that will surely fix it. Well it doesn't work well, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! read more

Do NOT purchase from this company! They are a complete scam! I've attempted to contact them for the past two months about equipment we purchased from them that never worked. When I finally got in contact with the owner, David Shanks, he hung up on me. This company is EXCELLENT! Why you ask? Let me share. Today, it takes close to an hour to get to most Client Support Representatives. The biggest companies seem to be the worst. Then there is "Cool-Off". Here is my story. Today, July 18, 2020 I ordered a mist fan off this companies website. About an hour later, I had second thoughts the fan I ordered would be to large. I ordered it for a 14 by 36 ft. roof deck. 10 MINUTES LATER, I got an email from the Executive V.P. David Shank. 10 minutes. Incredible. David suggested that I say with the unit I ordered and more importantly give me strategic reasons why it would best suit my needs. Not just an email, a personalized email. Please tell me what other company you have worked with that does that. I say, BRAVO and look forward to buying other products from this company. Thank you David and Team. read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. David (owner) is a thief. He refused to respond to our calls (several calls) and multiple emails. We DO NOT HAVE THE ITEM. he has the item, his online return is a complete BS. Check his reviews with BBB, people that has similar experience. This business is very unresponsive. I filed complaint with BBB. I will not rest till he refund us back our money. Now you want to respond on this platform after I gave you a nasty review. You should know who I am since I sent you multiple emails and called your company sooooooo many times. read more

Bought a medium pressure system; which had leaks when I first installed it to the point that it wouldn't work. It also got everything wet just like a cheap misting system from Home Depot. When I called, Dave said I should have bought the high pressure system and didn't offer me any trade in or discount on upgrading to a high pressure system. My system was brand new and never used as it failed when I first installed it. I emailed asking for parts as the supply hose kept popping out of the pump and the garden hose connector was leaking badly. Didn't hear back so I called him. He promised to get me these parts so I could use my system but never got them. I wish the service and product quality was better read more

Guys avoid buying anything from them . It's a scam . paid almost $1800 for a system and it's sitting collecting dust . Didn't work well at all . Not with the hassle but the BIGGEST REASON TO AVOID THEM is that I palfed a second order attempting to make their system work and it was the wrong parts . DAVID accepted the return . Took my items And NEVER RETURNED THE MONEY . Now they don't answer emails .. people who do business like this don't deserve any business. I don't suggest using them even if you think it will work out for you .. send me a message on here and I show you the emails for PROOF read more

BEWARE of the customer service for this company, I purchased a system from them in 2020, It has worked fine for the past four years, early this summer I turned on the system and had no water pressure, the motor ran but the pump didn't give pressure to the misters, so I have called and emailed the company several times with no satisfaction. I actually talked to the owner David one time gave him my credit card info to send me a part that he recommended, and he never sent the part or got back to me after I called him again and left messages, I don't want anything for free, but I expect a company to stand behind their products. In closing I won't buy anything from this company again. read more

First off check alibaba and you'll see these units being offered. There was a shipping mishap and they never responded until I got my credit company involved, imagine that! Luckily my CC refunded me and this company never once tried to rectify the issue. Reading these other comments about poor communication is spot on. read more

Foolishly bought from Cool-Off before I read the reviews. The negative reviews hit the nail on the head. Save yourself some major bucks and buy direct from AliBaba. You'll have the same level of support and with the $$$ you've saved you can buy nearly two replacements when they go bad...and they will. read more

Love the system we got, makes the summer days much nicer in the backyard. David was great about sending replacement parts. Local installer Rob was superb to work with. Overall couldn't be happier. read more

At one point this may have been a great company with reliable, made-in-America products. The first misting system I purchased from them many years ago gave me over 10 years of reliable, trouble free misting action, with great customer service. Since then, I feel obligated to report that both the product and the customer service have gone abysmally downhill. When the original unit I bought stopped functioning one year ago, I bought a replacement high pressure system that turned out to be a total lemon. It never worked from the start, and after several months of complaints with the owner, I was sent a new 1000 psi pressure unit that was billed as the "ultimate misting system." It worked great initially with indeed a very nice mist. But after 50 hours, this unit also stopped working. I was able to reach technical support and they give me a few suggestions for trouble shooting. When I looked inside the unit, I was surprised to see that the circuit board was completely corroded. I called the support line over a dozen times but no one ever returned my phone calls. Multiple emails to their support line also went unreturned. Now I am stuck with a corroded, completely useless piece of junk. And the company simply just does not care. While I can accept the fact that mechanical systems sometimes fail, what is unacceptable to me is that a company can care so little about its customers, that they repeatedly ignore their request for service and help. I will never buy a product from them again, and I would urge anyone considering to do so to be very careful. read more

Almost signed a quote for a 70' HP mist system but did a lil homework. Found Dave and Cool Off. Decided to go with his 60' kit with upgraded filters and stainless steel. Installing was a breeze with the detailed, colored pics instructions. Bottom line. Save with Dave and stay cool as ice during the hot summer days/nights. Deuces from LV! read more

Good reliable company to do business with. Website is easy to use and prices are very reasonable

Just purchased a SMPOLARIS30S in mediterranean blue 9x9 and if you have some extra $ I strongly recommend for those without the option to mount it in the ground to get the stainless steel 200lbs pound. I got two of those bad boys for a 9x9 + 100 pound + mounting small plate. The result will provide a flowless support. When closed the umbrella looked like the mat of a sailboat or a catamaran mast standing proud in front of the city background. I placed my order during COVID-19 shelter and David provided fantastic support including a quick Facetime to make sure I was not buying a model too big for my dedicated space. we were treated like VIP with status update for any delay and when it shipped oh boy we got it the next day from Las Vegas to San Francisco read more

Cool-Off Misting system is awesome.....much needed here in DFW area. Installed and immediately see the benefits of having this system in place. The stainless Steele high pressure system and pump w/app are fantastic products. Happy family now for keeping cooler and still enjoying being outdoors for these summer heat waves! Also Dave Shank there provided excellent customer service to help expedite our order and get add-on components out to us in a timely manner.....all during this challenging times for companies to fulfill orders in a timely matter with the various mfg and location impacts from the pandemic--thanks Dave and Cool-Off read more

If there's zero stars I will choose that option. Terrible customer service and No response 10days at a time. A bit shady company too.Never got warranty information even though I kept asking for it for almost a month now. I contacted Cool-Off to get their input on my courtyard that's always hot. We love to spend time there and watch the Giants play baseball, but the heat was too much. I wanted to install a mist system but did not want that "wet" mist - I wanted a fog. David from Cool-Off called me and advised me to buy the 40' High Pressure system after hearing my needs. It was a chunk of change and more than I had planned to spend. However, now that I have it installed, I have to wonder how this system could cost so little. The cooling is amazing and the pump is really quiet! It went together quickly, and without incident. After the sun goes down (and the Giants are winning) I use the app to cycle the misting system 30 seconds on and two minutes off. If I left it on 100%, we would need jackets! read more

I purchased a mid-pressure system from Cool-off, and it's incredible! A total game changer to be able to sit outside on the hottest of days in Salt Lake City! This system is super easy to setup, it's simple, and effective! On top of that, their customer service is top notch! I called them, and the representative was really really helpful with walking me through the different fittings to expand the system. He even texted me and called me back when I had more questions. Pretty impressive! If you want to sit outside when it's 100 deg outside, do yourself a favor and buy one of these! read more

David followed up and got the fan shipped immediately. He apologized and even refunded my money. I will likely give them another shot.

Worst system and worst customer service ever. The item has never worked properly and the owner promised to turn it around in two days if I sent the unit back. Two weeks later, no response to repeated emails and calls -- like I have time to chase him. I would find someone more reputable to do business with in the future. read more

David was great to work with! He listened to my needs, and recommended the right system for my patio!

We needed more of these fans to keep our staff cool while working outdoors in the Arizona summer heat. We have several of these fans already and they do a great job. I ordered a high pressure system for my house in Carefree Arizona. I order was shipped correct including my extra parts I ordered. Install whet great. And Dave was spot on with customer service. Great system and company. read more

A high pressure misting system is a must for anyone who lives in a hot, dry environment like Las Vegas. I received multiple bids from companies who install these types of systems and they were twice as much as the Cool-Off package. The cost savings was worth going the DIY route. The product arrived quickly and the only part that took thought was design layout. Once the first pieces were in place, the system goes together quickly. The pump is the heart of any misting system and the Cool-Off pumps are a relatively new design that I expect to last for many years. The materials are all high-quality and the customer service team is very good. There are some videos available to help with the install and was told by them they are working on updating to even better videos. Although the packages are designed for DIY, customer service has contacts for independent contractors in some places that can help with the install. This is a product for anyone who spends time outside in the summer and wants to stay cool. You can feel the difference in the air as soon as the pump is turned on. read more

I have had my misting system for over a year now and it is amazing. David was fantastic and they arranged with Rob to install the system. Works just like you see at the major hotels on the strip. I set it up on my Lutron system so I can control from my phone or remote as well as Google Hoem and Alexa. I had other estimates from 2 other Las Vegas companies, and one was $2000 higher, and the other was over $4000 higher with the last one that was $4000 higher being arrogant and FULLER of himself. read more

I purchased a high pressure misting system from Cool-off last year. It only worked for several months in which it was only turned on 2-3 times. Then it stopped working and I called Cool-Off and they said to change the oil which was odd because I had only used it several times. Then it just stopped working. After calling Dave, the owner, many times over a 5 month period. He was not helpful but finally told me to send it back to him on my dime, he would fix it, and send back to me on his dime. I sent it back to him on 2/2/2023 which cost me over $150 and it's been sitting there for over 3 months. He purposely never answers my calls but and has avoided me for the last 3 months. He did answer a text message saying he was waiting on parts and they had just come in and my machine would be fixed by the end of that week which was in late March. That never happened and he avoided all of my phone calls and text messages since then. My multiple telephone calls and text messages lead me no where. I was subjected to lie after lie and false promise after also promise. Ignored, lied to and treated poorly time after time. I finally got him on the phone today, 5/10/2023 and he said he's been in the hospital, which sadly I do NOT believe. I demanded a full refund and he said that is not policy. He said he would fix it by the end of the week and get back to me for sure by that Friday which has come and gone. He has at least a dozen complaints similar to mine on the BBB website. Unfortunately, this is his modus operandi. I believe they sell shoddy equipment and certainly do not stand by their products or morals for that matter. I am at the end of my patience, I do not being lied to incessantly and I do not trust Dave or his business to repair the shoddy equipment he sold me. read more
