I hired BioTex Foam to install spray foam insulation above my garage attic. I researched the…read moreindustry and product extensively. Proper installation is very important for spray foam. BioTex was the most expensive but they had a great sales pitch about how good they were, how experienced their crew was and many other reasons to justify a premium price for their services. This was all a sham. BioTex's list of failings is long. They started the job late. The superintendent left the job early to start his long weekend (labor day). The workers then performed the wrong job and took most of the insulation out of my house, instead of only the garage attic as per the contract. The owner then refused to make a reasonable effort to resolve the problem his employees created. The following is a list of BioTex's repeated failures and lack of customer service. 1. They were a day late starting the project. 2. We had company coming to stay with us for labor day so I asked to wait until after the long weekend to start the project. They assured me they would finish before the weekend. (My girlfriend is still upset about guests having to sleep on the floor because the spare bedroom was full of attic storage items moved for the work.) 3. They removed most of the blown in insulation from my entire house. My AC has been working overtime for 10 days now trying to cool a house without insulation in the Central Texas summer. It will likely be several more days before I can get the insulation replaced. 4. They attempted to pressure me into a rapid decision to accept a questionable repair by an unknown third party. 5. When I didn't immediately accept their initial proposal, they then refused to address the problem in a timely manner. The owner, Jared Amon, again attempted to pressure and intimidate into accepting a resolution that was most favorable to him. 6. Jared Amon never even came to my house to see the mess his crew caused. Yet he continued to insist on getting a full price payment for the job, even though it was going to be completed 3 weeks late and after causing a significant inconvenience to me and my family. He refused to even acknowledge the extra cost of the electricity needed to cool a house without insulation. 7. I finally had to fire BioTex. I have to coordinate the project to get new installation installed to fix their mistake. Jared Amon is now even refusing to pay to replace the insulation his crew took out of my house. Julio (Infinity) went above & beyond my expectations with blown-in insulation…read more Believe it or not, during his 2/2025 onsite estimate, he identified several other issues, including leaks, and tape coming undone, both related to the crappy 2020 installation of a new $8300 AC (which never cooled below 79 & ran constantly). I've paid $$$ to have the AC problems identified, but it was Julio who found them in the course of his assessment of my attic & its insulation needs! He also repaired them for very little extra money. Honestly? I sorta felt he treated me like family. Won't know til hot weather hits how the insulation will increase cooling of the house, but I can say this: Julio was responsive, on time, pre-prepped to keep my environment very clean (I have bad allergies; they covered & draped to keep particulate to a minimum), cleaned carefully after the insulation, and did it all at a very fair price. Bill was patient with my questions, gave me a very thorough assessment of what i needed, was very transparent with pricing and options on COA rebates and programs vs what I needed. He didn't upsell, worked with my budget, and I felt like he really had my best interests at heart. The install teams were true professionals, very covid aware, clean and precise in their work, and I really felt like I had absolute experts taking care of my beloved home. Even during an ice storm event, they came through and finished the work and my home is now warm and cozy and the new furnace is so silent and efficient. Is it wierd that I wish I needed another AC? Great service from Gutter King …read more.. We have several large oaks around the perimeter of our home. Gutter King installed one of their gutter guard products all around the house. They cleaned, realigned, sealed, and repaired all the gutters and downspouts before installing the leaf guards. They also replaced a couple of sections of gutter damaged by the oaks during the ice storm a couple of years ago. The gutters and guards look great and appear very high quality--we'll see how things function during the next storm, but confident they'll work as advertised. I was very pleased with the level of service and the follow-up from the sales guy/estimator, Jon, to the installer, Edward.  Edward was just outstanding and did the entire installation himself, working one and a half days to complete the job. One very hardworking guy. Professional, personable, with a great attitude and work ethic.
