    My old unit needing replacement

Cool Bear is provider for Costco and as a Costco member I approached them for an estimate for a new 5 ton AC for my home as I needed a new unit . They sent a fast talking tech who was just trying to up sell me on every thing . Costco had a 15 % rebate special going on at the time . He only calculated 10% plus assumed that I had a VISA from Costco so I was gonna get 2 % at the of the year from Costco . By the way I do not have Costco credit card . In the end not only there was no advantage in getting the AC with Costco discount from Cool Bear the estimate was one of the highest from the 5 companies I contacted for the exact same rated AC. Go Figure Not sure why Costco would recommend such a lousy low rated company . My experience with them was terrible . Costco asked them to come and give me a revised estimate. They scheduled a time and day but NEVER showed up or called . I wasted a day from work and lost lot of money . So be ware stay away from these fast talking people .

2.5 ton for our 1700 sq ft home. New lines new breaker box and mounted correctly with the hurricane straps.

This was a pleasant experience. It's not our first home or condo actually to be exact but it was purchased as a foreclosure.... Basically means you never know what you are going to get. Most foreclosures are simply neglected for obvious reasons or worse. With that said we had a ac handler inside the unit and a larger unit outside. One was over 25 years old the other just around 16 years old. Alex Hartman (the most pleasant and knowledgeable person I believe and honest) came over for a consultation. He was 15 minutes early was very polite. He also took his shoes off at the door! Amazed!!! ( we had some characters from different companies here all local from Coral Springs ... in and out in less than 10 mins prices all over the place and worse one place asked for a non refundable cash deposit after spending 10 mins on sight had next to no paperwork... when I challenged him the shady guy simply said well I'll take the loss on this one and left... I followed up with that company who promised a free estimate and they did not know that contractor was shaking people down for cash). Anyways Alex was clear explained it all gave us more options and ultimately we signed with him. 2 weeks later everything is done installed replaced. Again the team on the ground showed up on time protected everything installed both handler inside and the unit outside. We are awaiting inspection. (Yes they pulled permits too!). This was a nice experience spending this kind of money on an emergency as our ac unit just stopped working out of the blue. I hope to not have to talk to this company again. They promised a solid 20 years of peace obviously I have to do my part change filters flush the lines and such. But I am confident this will be a nice long term investment and peace of mind.

I'd give AR Williams a mixed but fair review…read more I initially called because I have a 7 to 8 year old Mitsubishi mini split in my garage that had stopped cooling. After calling several other HVAC companies that weren't interested in working on a mini split, someone else in the construction industry recommended AR Williams. When I first called, I was told they generally don't work on mini splits either. After explaining that I also had a conventional split system in my house that needed attention and that I wasn't interested in hiring two different companies, they agreed to come out and look at both systems. The technician who came out was excellent. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what he was seeing. He quickly determined that the mini split had lost its refrigerant charge. After adding R-410A, we were immediately able to hear the leak coming from the indoor head unit, confirming the system had a refrigerant leak. At that point, he discussed replacement options. They preferred replacing the system rather than repairing an older R-410A unit, while I decided I'd rather look into sourcing a replacement indoor head myself. My only real complaint is the pricing model. The technician spent roughly an hour and a half at my house, and the bill came to just over $600. Coming from the construction and service industry myself, I'm accustomed to straightforward hourly labor plus material markup. AR Williams uses flat-rate, software-based pricing where each task has a predetermined price regardless of how long it takes or the actual material cost. That's simply not a pricing model I'm personally comfortable with. I don't have any complaints about the technician or the professionalism of the visit. In fact, I'd happily have him back. My decision not to use AR Williams again is based solely on their pricing structure, not the quality of the people they employ. If you're comfortable with flat-rate pricing, you may have a different experience than I did. It just isn't the right fit for me.

First setting the appointment was a breeze with an instant text confirmation. I received a confirmation text when the tech was enroute. Tech was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained the issue and how he would fix it. This was a new home I bought 7 months ago and the previous owner apparently didn't do many services on the unit. He thoroughly cleaned growth that was discovered which I absolutely appreciated as my son has allergies. He called the owner "Adam" to get some pricing for a new unit installation. This ac of mine is 11 years old. So, it will be time to replace. The tech had me up and running within 30 minutes. System needed a flush to drain the pipes. Needed a cleaning. All done for a super reasonable price. They offered me about 8 options for a new AC unit and handled that ranged for Savings to super delux but did not push for a sale. Simply explained the benefits of each system. They honestly didn't have an issue recommending and suggesting a cost savings unit. So they aren't trying to bleed you dry by selling you expensive things you don't need. I greatly appreciate that. Lastly, this company is out of Lake Worth in West Palm Beach and I'm in Port Saint Lucie. They have no issues driving the hour to reach me. If you have an AC issue and want a friendly company that you can trust, give this company a call. Honest, professional , and very reasonably priced. I will use them any chance I get. Thank you to all involved and looking forward to staying cool this summer.

They told me the inspector would be there between 9AM - 12PM. He was there at 9:01AM. He let me know that my ducts were BUSTED. Like really bad. Gaps everywhere, broken stuff. The "Miami special" he called it. Showed me videos of all the issues to verify what he was saying. Although at first I thought the quote they gave me was a bit on the higher end, after I saw everything they did I've changed my mind and think the quote was honestly very fair. They replaced all the ducts in my attic, hung them (they were lying on the floor before...), replaced all the vents, covered my entire house in plastic, added an air return to a bedroom, picked up all the debris when they were done, and did all that in just like 3-4 hours. Honestly these folks are incredible. Shoutout to Amit. Such a friendly and funny guy. He took the time to explain to me all the issues he was seeing and why they mattered. He was the first one in a line of guys to finally explain that the master bedroom was so hot (5+ degrees hotter than rest of the house) because it didn't have a return. Once they installed that it feels like I have a new house. I've never slept better.

Best experience with electrician, hands down I would give 10+ stars for my experience. Chris was extremely helpful over the phone and with our needs. We also got to work with Harold, who was super responsive and kind. Mike, the other tech was especially helpful when we were in a big time of stress cause we had a faulty breaker panel that was due to a poor home inspection. Plus some outlets that were also unsafe. They fixed all of these issues in a 2 day period and for a good price. I'll be asking for Mike for anything we need in the future he was the best, taking care of everything we needed. Mike went above and beyond by explaining issues to me while he was inspecting our outlets and breaker so I knew why they needed to be fixed, and so much more about electric in my condo that will help me down the road in knowing if something is going wrong Thank you guys!

The average charge in Florida for a licensed electrician is between $100 and $150. per hour. I will not be using SunCoast Electric again.
