Not only was he able to accommodate an appointment the very next day (at 8 AM, as I requested), but he was able to diagnose and repair my two Mitsubishi Mr. Slim AC units within less than two hours. As you can see from the photos, when Oleg and his team arrived this morning, both AC units were blowing HOT AIR (which is almost NEVER necessary in South Florida) and by the time they were done, both units were blowing VERY cold air, allowing the units to function as designed and cooling the spaces that each unit served. Oleg also recommended some additional maintenance that the units could benefit from, but he was not at all about the "high-pressure" sales tactics and simply provided the information and pricing for me to decide. Fuse's pricing was more than fair, and Oleg and his team seemed to care more about the work and performing it with expert precision than they did about the money. We used SFD over the course of 3 years to maintain our two air handlers and condensers. The…read moretechnicians were always on time and courteous and our air conditioners generally ran and performed well. Then the compressor in one of our 9-year-old condensers failed. Two technicians from other companies noticed the condensation bulb in the air handler was removed and said that was a big no-no that could have contributed to the unit failing. (I'm not saying it did since there's no way to know but it was certainly disturbing to hear that). When I asked SFD about this, they they either never noticed it or just missed it and that it wasn't that big of a deal. That was a little disappointing to hear because we paid hundreds of dollars for their bi-annual maintenance plan and they had just inspected the units although this time they sent a less experienced tech. They also gave us conflicting information about whether the other (working) air handler needed to be cleaned or not. I liked these guys a lot and trusted them but ultimately there were too many red flags and so they lost our business.

I had a circuit breaker replaced in the electrical panel. I had done this procedure myself in a previous home but am unable to do it now due to health problems. The breaker in Home Depot is $18.50. The time it took to replace it was 35 minutes. The charge that I paid for this service was $275., an exorbitant amount by any standard. The average charge in Florida for a licensed electrician is between $100 and $150. per hour. I will not be using SunCoast Electric again.
