I went on the cool beans sunset cruise last night with my family (5 people) and absolutely loved it!! We had captain Josh and first mate Dan leading our catamaran. They were entertaining, fun and knowledgable of the area around us. When we showed up to cool beans at our designated time we were a little worried that our trip was going to be cancelled due to weather. You could see the storm clouds in the distance and there was no sun in sight! We started to hear some thunder but the employees of cool beans assured us that it was safe to go out. We shared the boat with three other people. There was plenty of room for both groups to enjoy the cruise on our own, although we did get to know each other and chatted over some drinks! Yes,DRINKS--the cruise includes all you can drink beer, wine and soft drinks. There is also a champagne toast and shrimp cocktail during the sunset. We were out on the water for about two hours. It wasn't your normal, calm sunset cruise due to the storms surrounding us but we had a blast. The water was rough but we enjoyed braving the weather with some drinks and blankets to keep us warm! There was some water splashing towards the end, but it was all part of the adventure. Also, we saw a lot of dolphins while out on the water!! Absolutely loved it! If you are in the Naples/Marco Island area cool beans is a must do!! And definitely do not let bad weather deter your decisions to go or not! A "storm cruise" may even be more fun and exciting than a sunset cruise! We are looking forward to doing another cool beans tour-- possibly a day cruise next time! read more

We booked the morning sightseeing trip on Friday, March 29. We absolutely loved the excursion. These folks run a great business - the captain and his first mate were skilled and extremely friendly. The boat is clean and sleek. Our kids were able to ride up front and take in the sites. We saw osprey nests and plenty of dolphins. Captain Kelly and his mate were very wonderful and helped make the sunset cruise a fun and friendly atmosphere! Immediately before you board the boat, you are asked to remove your shoes and they're places in a tote for you to collect once the cruise is over. Captain Kelly and his mate went over the safety instructions, offered us appetizers and also offered us a selection of soda, beer and wine. Beer selection was Red Stripe, Heineken, Blue Moon, and Colors Light. A red wine and white wine were also available. Everything is included in the $60 per person price and no payment is made until the very end of the cruise. You were asked to keep all drinks in provided koozie cups throughout the cruise. They were available for purchase for $5 each after the cruise was over. Captain Kelly and his made took us by some beautiful homes, drove us to an area most likely to see dolphins, and we did see dolphins! We anchored in a spot to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Right before sunset, the crew popped some champagne for everyone on board to enjoy. Those under 21 or wanting something non-alcoholic, were given the same champagne glasses as everyone else but filled with water so they could toast as well. The sunset and views were breathtaking! My experience with Cool Beans Cruises was anything but cool. Our trip started out about 15-20 minutes late, causing us to wait in 90+ degree heat with no shaded space to wait or even a bathroom on site. Within 5 minutes of starting our cruise, our one year old baby fainted due to the heat and we turned around immediately. Upon our return, we were greeted by Captain Kelly who was only concerned if our boat was having mechanical issues. When he was repeatedly told it was a medical emergency, he then instructed me to go and pay without asking if our son was okay or by providing any offer of medical assistance, shade, water, or a cool space for him. When requesting a refund for our trip, I was denied, accused of extortion, and told that my communication would be considered harassment. Additionally, he is arguing back on other reviews and saying my son was just irritated, but I have the medical paperwork to prove it. Incredibly unprofessional and distasteful experience overall. read more

We spent the day on the water on a Catamaran with 2 other couples and had all you eat and drink fresh fruit and beer, wine and soft drinks. Easily one of the best activities I have done on a vacation. The boat was a 46 ft. catamaran and was in great condition. The captain, Paul, was very fun and engaging with his passengers and had a wealth of local knowledge. He kept everything running smoothly and was a very good guide. We got to stop off for a short time on Sand Dollar Beach, which sadly had no sand dollars. So, yeah...way to ruin my vacation, "Mother Nature". But it was a beautiful stretch of land and we very much enjoyed the walk. The boat didn't have to compete with much in the way of winds, since it was a very calm day. However, I think it made the ride more pleasant and easier for us to get to know our fellow travelers. We saw MANY dolphins and were in awe at how frequently they would come within a few yards of the boat. The selection of beer, wine, and soft drinks was great, and for the price we paid, this was well worth it. Fantastic day sail with Captain Art and Benjamin! We had the perfect trip, starting with a dolphin sighting, then a great short swim to the beach at Keewaydin Island and found some beautiful shells! I booked a sunset cruise a few weeks in advance for a short vacation I was taking with my girlfriend. The day came for the cruise and I was saddened to see it was a stormy overcast day... No sun in sight! I was told by capt Kelly that if we were still interested in going out on the boat we were more than welcome. This was a highly anticipated activity throughout our vacation. My boyfriend had made a reservation for a sunset cruise and he must have talked to the receptionist for 20 minutes. She was extremely friendly and provided him with other great tourists attractions to check out. Now it is important that I preface this review with my boyfriend's description. By his depiction of the boat tour, I thought we were going to pay $55 bucks a pop to ride on a dingy boat, eat shrimp cocktail from Shop Rite, and drink PBR. I was pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful boat and to be greeted by Captain Paul, who is filled with all kinds of local knowledge. My husband and I took a vacation to Naples with our our sister and brother-in-law in June, and I booked this sailing charter on a whim just to give us something different to do. We booked the 3-hour cruise, and Sharon was more than friendly and helpful through the reservation process. At first it seemed like sort of a lengthy drive to get there, but it was completely worth it, and ended up being the highlight of everyone's vacation. There is a little store across from the open parking that has all sorts of beverages and snacks, and the sweet woman working the counter makes subs and sandwiches to order, so we picked up our lunch before heading out. There is also a tiki bar within walking distance for frozen beverages and cocktails. Captain Randy pulled up shortly in the catamaran we would be sailing in for the day, and we were immediately impressed with the size and condition of the boat. There was one other couple waiting along with us, and we all got to know each other and knew we would all have a great time together on the boat. Captain Randy welcomed us aboard, gave us a tour of the catamaran, and thoroughly explained safety procedures. He made us all feel so welcome and at ease with his vast knowledge of the vessel, the surrounding area, and the safety precautions. As many others have mentioned, Cool Beans supplies what they call the "treasure chest" filled with water, white wine, and a variety of excellent beer choices. Captain Randy was beyond accommodating, and even willingly volunteered to bring us drinks so we wouldn't have to walk back and forth across narrow areas of the boat. Captain Randy gave us several options for sightseeing destinations, and first took us to a sea wall to watch dolphins up close, which was amazing. He offered to take us to a sand bar, but we wanted to stay sailing rather than get off the boat, so he continued out to sea. We loved that they limit the amount of guests to 6 people per cruise. There was certainly room for more, but it made everyone feel like it was more private, and the additional space was so comfortable. We had the most wonderful, relaxing day we could have ever imagined, and it was completely in thanks to Captain Randy. We honestly can't say enough great things about him, and our only regret was that we didn't book the 6-hour cruise.
