Sadly, this business appears to have closed its doors for good. Their cookies were absolutely worth a three-plus-hour drive, which makes it especially disappointing to discover that the business seems to have simply folded up the sidewalk and disappeared. There was no relocation notice, forwarding address, or information letting customers know what happened-just closed. It's truly unfortunate because they offered a great product and were a military family-owned business that was worth supporting. I hate to see them go, particularly without any notice to their loyal customers. Hopefully, they will eventually post an update, forwarding address, or relocation information. If they have reopened somewhere else, I would certainly love to know where to find them. read more

This is a hidden gem on Jefferson Hwy. I used to visit this place all the time as a kid so today's visit was really nostalgic. I got the cute spring sunflower cookie on a stick. These are all freshly baked each morning! The sugar cookie alone is delightful! The icing is an addition. Some may say these are a bit pricy- $8.50 a cookie but love this place! read more

Easy order. Delivery on time. Was told cookies were great. I hate to ding a star, but I can't stand unearned miscellaneous charges. It's admittedly a personal peeve, but when I went to check out and there was. $3 miscellaneous "service " fee I just can't stand it. It will probably prevent me from ordering from them again. read more

Who doesn't love cute cookies? Now, how about a cookie bouquet? Yup, total cuteness overload! I went in to buy a single cookie gift, which they do have some that you don't need to order ahead of time. If you are thinking of getting a cookie bouquet, for courtesy sake, give them 24-48 hours notice depending on size of a bouquet you need. The lady who helped me was so sweet. I asked her questions and she was so helpful about answering them all. I purchased a single sunflower cookie that was about $7 and totally well worth it. I'd definitely be smiling if I got that beautiful cookie. If you feel like brightening someone's day with a cookie bouquet, contact this place. I love flowers, but I also love receiving something edible, especially because I have to toss flowers out after they wilt. So, this gift is so much better! They are located in the plaza where Eliza and La Contea are, off Jefferson (between Essen and Corporate). There was plenty of parking and it's not a super busy plaza, so if you need to get in and out for a quick gift pick-up you can do so! I will definitely consider them for gifts in the future! BTW - check out their website for on-line ordering and nationwide shipping. Thank you, Cookies by Design =) read more

Dad's birthday was on Saturday. As a professional procrastinator, I managed to wait until the morning of, to realize this. He lives in Baton Rouge. I live in Dallas. How do I get out of this? Like the good reseacher I am, I Googled "same day delivery Baton Rouge" and up pops Cookies By Design. Same day delviery. Perfect. Granted, cookies may be a cheap way out, but I promised to take him to dinner when I visited the next week, so it's okay as a "gift-lite." So let me tell you how awesome these people are. Dad wasn't home. I left his cell number when I ordered online. They called him and found out that he was eating breakfast at IHOP. He tells her to just leave the package at the door. She refuses saying she wants to "see the look on his face" and drives all the way to IHOP to personally deliver these cookies. Not only is the service phenomonal, but the cookies were too (according to dad). I think I'll stop by when I visit to personally thank these people. Highly Recommended. read more

I ordered some cookies as a Thanksgiving treat for my wife, but I accidentally chose the Monday after Thanksgiving as the delivery date, instead of the Monday before. Well, because I had Thanksgiving in the greeting on the card, they called me the Monday before and asked if I meant to schedule the delivery for that day. I had no idea I had made that mistake until she called me. She said it was no problem and that they could delivery it that day instead, and a few hours later my wife was enjoying the cookies. They also called me to let me know when the delivery was done. How awesome is that? That level of customer service is rare, and I'll definitely be using them again in the future. read more

Cookies by design is not that great. The cookies are cute, but they are too thick, they have too much vanilla, and $50+ is way too much for a dozen of small cookies. read more

I needed a custom order that focused on recovery for a very special person battling cancer, and Teresa and Gene came through in spades with a gorgeous cookie bouquet with flowers and sentiments written on cookies that was absolutely perfect!!!! True artists, and great people to oblige such an unusual request for a recovery cookie bouquet!!!! Drove 8 hours to pick this up, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The recipient was so happy and loved all of it!!! read more

I placed an order with this location previously and everything was great. Called the Jefferson Hwy store today and spoke with an older gentleman that was quite unprofessional. My question was about a promo code that was included in a previous order confirmation E-mail l had received. He said, he had no idea what I was talking about and offered no further assistance. I asked if there was someone else I could speak to or another number (customer service) I could call for help. He said, he didn't know. It was like pulling teeth to get any assistance from him. When I mention I was trying to place a same-day delivery, he finally asked which item I was ordering. After telling him, his reply was, that can't be delivered today anyway. I said, ok, never mind. He said, ok, with a sigh of relief and ended the call. He was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Quite frankly, he came across as if he was not interested in receiving my order or any other customer's order. Its a shame because I had intended on using this company for several orders in the future but unfortunately, that is no longer the case. If they care about their business, they should really consider allowing a more professional person with better tact to answer customer calls. read more

The products were lovely as well as fresh and delicious. The service was impeccable, friendly, and professional, and they were a true treat to work with, pun intended! :) The only complaint was the price for the size of the "bite-sized" cookies with a delivery fee (they were the size of a half-dollar coin), but they were presented perfectly and were still delicious. Our logo cookie was perfect and tasted like a wedding cake. Overall, we were very pleased by the total package and received wonderful feedback from our clients, less the size of the "bite-sized" cookies of course. Keep up the good work. read more

Sending the "get well soon" cookie bouquet was a great idea to send to my aunt while she was in the hospital recovering after surgery. Everyone sends flowers, so I wanted to send something fun and unique. The cookies were a fun surprise and brought a huge smile and laughter for my aunt. I live several hours away from my extended family and since I wasn't able to go see her in person I wanted to send something fun. Im so happy to have found Cookies by Design when searching online for a unique bouquet to send. And the delivery driver called me after she delivered the cookies to let me know how the cookies and ballon looked and how happy it made my aunt to receive the cookie bouquet. What a fun way to send love and a smile! Thank you Cookies by Design!! read more

Placed my order online after business hours. Later realized I made a mistake on the card I wanted attached to my order. Called Cookies by Design and left a voicemail explaining the change I needed. They actually called me back at 7:40 the next morning. The cookies were for some nurses that took care of me two weeks prior while in the hospital for back surgery. They were all amazing!!! When I found out I would be going back in for another surgery, I wanted to send them something special. It worked...Cookies by Design made the correction for me and had the bouquet delivered later that morning. It was a big hit with all the nurses. I even got a call from the delivery driver notifying me that my delivery was made and who accepted them. It was my first time using this company, but it won't be my last!! read more
