I visited here one Friday morning. The place was decorated nicely, was clean, and the staff were friendly, especially Mateo, the guy at the front counter. I went for cream cheese king cake. They didn't have any at the time but Mateo went check and told me they were baking some. I decided to wait. I asked if I could get one without sprinkles and they said yes. It took about 20 or so minutes. The cake was hot and fresh. I was a little disappointed that they added the sprinkles but it wasn't a lot so I just kept it. I tried a piece in the car and it was good! I will definitely return to try the stuffed 2.0 one's and the Brioche one before the season ends. My neighbor suffered an unimaginable tragedy and I wanted to pick up a treat for them. This company was SO empathetic and understanding. This is my third time here bc the first time I went around 5 pm they were practically sold out of cupcakes then second time they sold out completely for the day and was closed. This review may be a little personal but regardless, I couldn't not share this business owner's kindness that very much so made my day. I stopped in last week after having made funeral arrangements for the unexpected passing of my brother. I just felt like I needed a cupcake after all that. I walked in and the counter was full of beautiful and delicious cupcakes. I had a hard time choosing 1 so I chose 4 (red velvet, lemon drop, cheesecake and classic chocolate and yellow cake). In talking with the owner, I mentioned I had just come from the funeral home and she immediately empathized with me and engaged in conversation. She apparently has some sort of nursing background and reassured me in ways she won't ever understand that day. I needed that conversation and somehow she knew it. I asked to use the restroom (which was super clean by the way) and when I came out, she had personally boxed me up an "on the house cupcake" because she "couldn't do much, but she could atleast give me a free cupcake with prayer offerings." And the cute cupcake place they had in the mall closed a while ago. They had done that for me before. I did call this place and they mentioned their bakers get there super early and they don't stay throughout the day so there's no way to personalize anything. Bummer. I stopped by anyways. Once you get beyond the sticker shock, you will be hard pressed to find a more moist, flavorful selection. The chocolate one is by far my favorite but red velvet is a close second. What I didn't capture is the delicious in store made ice cream that is also available. It was so good I risked my lactose sensitivity to Indulge. Also on the pricey side but equally worth it. To pay $3.75 for a cupcake from a specialty shop, you would expect it to be great, or even amazing, but they were only good. The cake part of the cupcake was moist and had good flavor, so that part was nice. But the icing really only tasted slightly better than store bought icing. That was the biggest disappointment.
