Absolutely outstanding customer service!!!! We are based in San Francisco and ordered a get well gift for one of our out of state employees (that assured us they would be around for the delivery). Unfortunately the day of the delivery the recipient decided to get out of town without notifying us. Not only did the driver from Original Heroman's Florist call me and let me know no one was home, they also rejected my offer to just leave the delivery at the door and instead redelivered the order on Monday . I'm just blown away at how above and beyond they were with this delivery and were so super sweet and kind the whole time. I can't highly recommend them enough. read more

The "Original" Heroman's florist. Excellent arrangements and can pick out and order online, which I like! Great people to deal with. Switched from 1-800-Flowers.com to Heroman's when my arrangements were not up to par. Flowers.com ships Fedex, Heroman's ships in person. The arrangement is already "put together" and doesn't have to be assembled by the recipient! No difference in prices. Recommend for all your flower needs. UPDATE #1 07/21/18: 9 years after writing the above review, I still use Heroman's and they are still the best! Always deliver when promised and arrangements are top notch. UPDATE #2 07/16/20: Still use Heroman's and still have not had one single complaint or problem. ALWAYS deliver on time and flowers are ALWAYS beautiful. I try to use Heromans to send flowers to my mom who lives in Central because I have.a fondness for the original location. But I was mortified when I arrived at my father's funeral yesterday and saw the arrangement delivered on Friday. The flower substitution made the arrangement look nothing like the order I placed. The colors were horrible. Some of the flowers were limp and falling over. And I would never order any arrangements with carnations! All of the other flowers were from Billy Heromans and Marino's and they were beautiful and elegant. I was embarrassed and so disappointed! read more

Worst experience ever. With all the great choices out there do not use this one for your wedding. A destination wedding requires a professional who can articulate and understand what you are looking for and what they can deliver. The level of communication was atrocious. But worse than that was the fact that the event planner blamed the bride for not understanding what she was asking for, she was argumentative, and was unable to provide ANY photos of what they could do. Finally the event planner Gena- cancelled less than a month from the wedding via email on a Friday afternoon and was too busy to return phone calls until the following Monday. Not the kind of behavior or responsiveness you need for such an important event. I believe they are not "wedding florists" but can provide simple less comprehensive and sophisticated requirements - like sending a dozen roses. I would not recommend anyone use this florist for a wedding - especially if you are not able to have a face to face meeting and see what they are planning. read more

Seriously sad. Ordered a vase of orchids for Mother's Day which the screwed up. Called to inform them of the error and I was then told they didn't have enough orchids to make what I had originally ordered so I asked them to make an arrangement with what they had and some other flowers. What resulted was dinky and sad. No greenery just some tiny flowers stuck in a small vase. Would have has better luck arranging myself., especially with what I paid for it. So disappointed as I used them for years. Oh they also tried to tell me that they would be taking back the original erroneous arrangement when they delivered the second one. How TACKy is that?? Why would u take it back? No way. I would tell people to use lance Hayes or fleur du jour instead. read more

I had no referrals to rely on and took a chance from a plain ol' Google search for nearby florists. What serendipity! They delivered within a few hours (!!) and my friend, the recipient, sent me several photos and gushed how pleased and surprised he was with this gift. Fantastic arrangements and great value. I spoke with Ms. Matte who normally works in the Government St. location but was at the Staring Lane Heroman's. I explained to her what I was looking for and she assured me that she would make something special. A few hours later, I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Matte in person when she gave me the most beautiful arrangement. It was exactly what I had envisioned and she told me that she closed her eyes and let the flowers talk to her after speaking with me. I was beyond thrilled and so was she. My interaction with her completely made my day and my friend loved the arrangement to boot. Hated it! Two dozen red roses arrived late with bug eaten leaves. Looked like someone scooped up the greenery off the floor or out of the garbage. Looked thrown together. Really?! And for $175?!
