I have been a customer of insomnia cookies for yearssss. I have been to their locations in multiple states. I just moved to Louisiana and wanted to try this location as it is the closest to me. I am Very disappointed. The cookies were not fresh- or at least didn't taste like they were . They were hard and bland . And the cashier had the nerve to be short with customers, it was a bigger girl. I wasn't asked if I'd like to use my rewards nor was I asked if I wanted my receipt. I got the Double Chocolate-Chunk cookie, which was super chocolatey and it practically melted in your mouth. Finally tried Insomnia Cookies by LSU today. Not incredibly impressed but nothing major to complain about either. Sunday on LSU campus with no events happening, so parking on Chimes Street was easy. Sign on the door read only 4 guests in a time (thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic), so lucky for us, we were the only ones. Not even anyone else on the street when we were there. My husband is a teacher, so we were excited to snag his free 6-pack of cookies! We opted to buy two brownies then split the cookies. Honestly, they weren't all that impressive. Cookies to me were as good as Subway or anywhere else. Brownies were yummy but nothing anything I'd drive across town for. Perhaps if we would have tried them as ice cream sandwiches, it would have been more special. Also, it was odd to see a candy cane flavored cookie, and sure enough the worker was surprised saying that they didn't have them anymore. Yet, she didn't remove them while we were there. Whatevs I guess! I think what makes this place stand out is their hours being that they're open until 3am. I get it. The last time I went here I had a fairly positive experience. Customer service was more on point (than the last) and the cookies even tasted better. They have a good variety of cookies and could definitely see why they decided to open up in the are they're in... by LSU's campus. Okay. Crumbl is good. Insomnia is BETTER!! Had never tried them until our cross country US trip. Hit up a spot right next to ASU around one am. Got a 4 + 4 box. First of all, they keep the cookies in a warming bin so you get em nice and warm. There were four of us and everyone loved their selections. A late night cookie delivery place, uh YES PLEASE!! I'm not sure why this is the first time I have ever heard of this concept but Kuddos to whomever decided to take the reins on this company... Especially in a major college town! We stumbled in late one night after some serious tailgating so OF COURSE delicious warm cookies sounded like an excellent idea! I ended up ordering a peanut butter, a white chocolate macadamia and their triple chocolate. They graciously heat up the cookies up before serving them in their super cute "pizza-like" cookie box. My least fav was the white chocolate macadamia one, which was surprising to me, because that's normally my go-to cookie; however, that triple chocolate cookie IS TO DIE FOR! Mine was jam packed full of triple chocolate goodness and should have been appropriately named "death by chocolate." A cookie company that delivers up to 3am is a dangerous concept! Anytime I get it delivered they're still warm in the box. The seasonal cookies fun and usually very good. And, when I'm craving my grandmother's snickerdoodle cookies, I would come here! But. The service I've received is to the point where I don't go anymore. They take a very long time, are only friendly about 50% of the time, and when they aren't friendly, they border on rude. I kept going for quite a while because I figured they're just having a bad day. But it became a pattern, so I just stopped going. If you want to stop by once, I'd say go for it. A lot of people seem to be having the same issues with insomnia so I'm not surprised to be here. I ordered cookies for me and my friends at 8 pm tonight. To make a long story short, it is now 12:45 am and I am JUST receiving my cookies and ice cream. After being told they only had one driver an hour into my order, I became sympathetic at the time because that's out of their control. But to receive a text saying I would get my cookies an hour from the text and then to not get them until 3 hours later, is ridiculous. With no updates, and no one answering the phone after multiple call attempts, I will be giving Insomnia a break for now. If this business cannot handle delivery at times like this, then stop offering it. Because it's obviously not working. read more

I am giving this a one star strictly on Service, we don't even know how the cookies taste! We walked in and the lady behind the counter immediately caught an attitude face like we were bothering her for coming in. Then she snipped at us that it would be 15 minutes for any cookies to be cooked. So we said ok and stood there and waited for her to take our order. After about 5 minutes she looked at me and said very ugly "Are y'all going to wait the 15 minutes?" And we said yes. Instead of taking our order she gets on the phone leans over on the counter and ignores us for another 2-3 minutes. The only reason the two to three minute even incurred was because that's how long it took to gather everyone in our party and walk out! mmm boy.. i really can not believe what just happened. I placed a order at exactly 9:41pm to pick up at 10:00pm. i get to the store around 10:10pm and call to let them know i'm outside. the girl says ok your order will be out in 10-15 minutes. get this.. i was with two friends who had pick up orders as well and when they were on the phone with the last one they said she had two orders ahead of her. which obviously had to be mine and the second friend. ANYWAYS... we wait.. it's 10:38 when we start wondering if they forgot our orders so we pull up closer to the store. a girl comes out and announces to the line that tigercash is down so i took to chance to ask her if they forgot our orders.. she ask for the name again then told me they were busy so it was going to be a while..! she was hella rude for no reason! so we waited... THIS ISN'T THE END! so around 10:50 the first girl comes back out with what looks like our cookies..! she walks up then pauses and goes "ooo so we are out of snickerdoodle and aren't able to complete your order." so i ask her for a refund and she says that they can't do that and that id have to call corporate. so I ask "are you guys completely out, like y'all don't have any?" she says, "no we'd just have to make more." so i told her i would wait since i've been waiting anyway.! (but like seriously.. how do you bring out a half *** order?) she said it would take 10 minutes to cook and 5 to cool. so we wait again... it's 11:15 and another girl comes out... I asked her about the order she rolls her eyes and ask for my name. i told her and five minutes later i received wet, gooey, undercooked cookies. The workers here are..... like i never knew it was so enraging or depressing to serve cookies.Maybe there's something behind the scenes going on but goodness hire some senior citizens or something because it's unacceptable.The location of this store is in a horrible place!! With very limited parking. I definitely recommend they open up a store somewhere else with better employees. Oh yes, Insomnia Cookies. When we asked people from Baton Rouge about this place, they all said we had to go. So we did, and we were not disappointed. The cookies were soft, chewy and fresh. We actually liked the regular cookies without ice cream. They have deluxe cookies, but we found the normal cookies were just as good. We ordered the peanut butter cookie and chocolate, chocolate. First let me say these cookies are truly some of the best...however! The store itself is extremely plain and not really kept up well. I've been inside twice...and had two very interesting experiences. The first time, the foot traffic was moderate yet they had no fresh chocolate chip cookies. You'd think those would be on constant rotation. The second experience was when they were very busy...steady line to the door the full hour I was there. Why was I there for an hour? Oh goodness well let's see...we had two orders...one online and one at the counter. The one online was for a cookie cake and gave a time that we could expect it. The second order at the counter would've been fast except this time they were out of snickerdoodle...another popular flavor. So since we had to wait a few minutes, I said I'd wait on the snickerdoodle. After waiting and waiting we finally got a status on the cake...it still needed 5 more minutes. Ok, no problem right? Well that took another 15 minutes. By the time we finally got our order the cookies (we had a total of 3 6 packs) the order was wrong and the icing was completely melted on the cookie cake...sigh. Oh, and overall our online order was ready a good 30 minutes or so after the site said it would be. It's obvious this place is in high demand...it's so tasty and perfect for the location, however I truly hope they either hire more staff or figure out better ways to handle high volume times. read more
