This place is okay, but it used to be great! The cookies used to taste out of this world, now they taste fine. The prices used to be a steal, now I feel like I'm being a little bit ripped off. I know inflation is real and affects businesses, but the dramatic increase in price followed by a decrease in cookie size and tastiness, has led me to missing the old Cookie Munchers. The delivery process also takes twice as long then the past and the website has multiple bugs. We order every once in a while, always hoping it will be better than our last order, but we are usually mistaken. What a treat it was stopping into Cookie Munchers. My Granddaughter was so excited when we told her we were getting cookies for breakfast. She was more excited when she saw the size of the cookies. The place was immaculately clean with fresh new decor and the staff was very friendly. The cookies were so warm and delicious. The cookies were so fresh it was like we just took them out of the oven at home. The prices were very reasonable. We had several cookies. We had Red Velvet, Chocolate chip, M&M and a Sugar cookie with some sweet cream cheese dip. They were all Phenomenal. I wish we lived closer, we would stop in more often but this definitely deserves a road trip. I would absolutely recommend this Gem to anyone looking for some homemade taste in a cookie. This means they are inconsistent and depending on the night and even order, you may get extra crunchy orders or extra mushy, in our case for tonight, we got 2 extra crunchy cookies with no softness at all and 1 cookie that was the perfect mushiness. I like them, I like how they are a local small group so 4 stars, but based on taste they are 3 stars at best, consistency is a 2, customer service has been a 3 Star experience. Really frustrated as a first time customer. Placed an online delivery order at 3:15p. The store is 2 miles from my home. Waited an hour and 10 minutes and no delivery. Called the store and they said they had no delivery driver til 7pm! They were never going to inform me. I asked if I could pick up the order but have the delivery fee and tip to the driver I already paid refunded. They refunded only the delivery fee and kept the tip. So much so that it was a gooey mess that I couldn't pick it up to eat it while it was warm. I actually needed a spoon to eat it. The flavor of the chocolate chips were the only negligible proof that I had bought a "cookie". The shop itself is clean but there is no display of actual cookies. (Except a menu) Everything happens behind 2 curtained "window-like" openings. The 2 young people were pleasant. I did not sample anything but the chocolate chip cookie. This shop is a great concept like a similar franchise that appears on or near large college campuses. However, they really need to rethink this recipe. It's just not a cookie or flavorful. I always like to support local businesses & would love to see this shop make it. Perhaps the clientele aren't particular about cookies & anything that is warm & sweet will suffice.
