I have been to most Cook Outs in the Raleigh area. They are usually marginal. But this one is the worst. I have tried their burgers over and over. They are gnarly. Often the huge and the large burgers have the meat all bunched up in the middle of the burger. Like it started coming apart when they flipped it but they just served it anyhow. The workers are not very professional, the place is falling apart. Tiles cover the exterior, they have a lot of missing grout around the window. The building is tiny. Like an RV or a food truck. I feel sorry for the workers having to work in a tiny cage while the menu is huge. And about that menu--how about putting another copy for us to see while we are in line for 20 minutes? One reason your service is slow, is because folks have to look at the huge menu while they are at the speaker. Dumb. Then they start changing their order and take forever. And you don't even have the huge burger or price on the menu? What's up with that? read more

Those shakes? Wow! We went to get dessert after our meal at my daughter in love's house. The shakes were delicious. They are thick and full of the ingredients you request. There are hundreds of combinations from which to choose. I had the oreo and mocha. My husband ordered the oreo and peanut butter. Both were excellent. read more

Double sided drive through, walk up window, plenty of room for our truck and trailer. We tried: hush puppies, burgers, cheese curds, fries, Cajun fries, cheese quesadilla and a shake. Everything was made correctly and was hot and out to us quickly. With a menu like theirs and all the different sides, there is something for everyone!! Great place for milk shakes that are soooooo thick you must eat them with a spoon! I would tell you how many different flavors they have, but I didn't have time to count! The ones I purchased were terrific. Just remember, this is a drive-thru and if you are alone, you want to be on the right side of the building so you don't look like a dope getting out of your car to pay and grab your food! (). I visit cook out for dinner tonight. Waiting in line for an hour and a half. It's been a long time I haven't been to this place the reason of their service and their food is always messy. And I noticed no one pays attention to what they're doing. I hope someone sees the bad feedback and reviews people leave. I am making my order and I repeat myself twice or a little bit over..... It's so bad that before I pull off, I ask him/her to repeat my order took them like 15 minutes No lie to respond back. They actually repeated it back, right, so I go and pick up my order got home and guess what my sandwich has no hamburger. Meat . My chicken wrap has no chicken. And my chicken nuggets and onion rings are almost burnt crazy to even do business in such a place. I wish that sheetz takes all of their business away. They will learn one way or another. Just went through the drive through here in Sanford. Ordered 2 orders of chicken strips, a chicken sandwich, a cheeseburger and 3 regular Cajun fries. Got home to see that they only gave me 1 order of fries. Oh well, right? Then I dug into my burger which was NOT GOOD. No flavor at all, mealy ass tomato and soggy bun. I'm not sure why I was actually looking forward to treating my family to Cookout but I WON'T make that mistake ever again. Kids said the chicken strips were "meh". We stopped in this evening and there was a line at both drive-thru windows. After waiting approximately 10 minutes to order, I ended up waiting another 10-15 minutes to get the food. I ordered two burgers, two onion rings, and drinks. Upon finding a place to park and opening the bag containing all the food, I discovered the onion rings were haphazardly placed on top of the burgers. The two little bags containing the onion rings had been placed upside down in the larger bag so they spilled out over the burgers. Both burgers and onion rings were cold and the food at this particular Cookout was not as good as some of the other Cookout restaurants. read more

This is a hit or miss place. The staff is usually rude and management is too. You sit in line for 20+ minutes to get COLD food. Whenever you mention it to the worker, they get attitudes and don't want to fix the food. Would definitely not recommend. read more

Family came to town for a funeral. We waited 25 minutes in the drive through for the wrong order. The another 30 minutes to get the more correct order. Cook Out has always been a go-to for a backyard style burger This location is on one of the busiest streets in a small town so be careful entering and exiting. The burger was awesome, all three of my orders were correct and they got all the small specifics (no ice in one drink and extra in the other). read more

I really like Cook Out and usually its a safe bet when you order at any Cook Out but this one was terrible! They messed up my order completely and when attempting to address it the staff did not care. Would not recommend this Cook Out until the staff either cares about their customers or at least get their customers orders right. read more

Good food but the wait time is ridiculous. On multiple visits I have gotten stuck in the line here and waited over half an hour. That's not an exaggeration. Enough to where I make sure I got a good book to read or a good show to watch and no where to be in a hurry. It is by far the absolute slowest fast food restaurant I've ever been to. The food is good as always but the service is piss poor. The young belligerent lady behind the window said nothing to me the whole time I was there except "$5.93". Then closed the window in my face after she slung my food out the window. I had to wait on her to finish her power nap on the counter before she reopened the window so I could ask for catch-up. Once she rolled her eyes and puffed she handed me some and slung the window closed again. Now I'm heated, and I need napkins because I don't use my hair or clothes to eat fast food. Burgers are made fresh to order, you choose your toppings. Burger was delicious, charbroiled yet very juicy. Fries were not typical fast food fries, more like diner fries. Also had a strawberry shake with real strawberry pieces. Paid $8 for the meal..what a steal! Drive thru workers were extremely courteous and answered our questions as we had never eaten at a Cook Out before. Good fast food. I normally don't review fast food joints, but I wanted to get Cook Out on the map. Stopped through here twice so far and had no complaints. Typical burger spot and tasty hot dogs. Service has been friendly and fast each time. I recommend the cookout style hot dog with cole slaw on it. Lots of items on the menu to choose from; I'll be back. read more
