Huge Cook-Out Style Burger, Large Cajun Fries, Large Cheerwine, & Regular Oreo Milkshake!

I would like to show this Cook-Out location some love because, I don't get a chance to get home to NC often but when I do I always stop by a Cook-Out. Well, I just so happen to be visiting my home state for a wedding and was able to grab lunch on my way out, and I'll tell you, the food never disappoints. This location was on point! The food was fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection! The woman that took my order was super nice and friendly, and was very polite when she greeted me at the window to accept my payment. When you live away from home and you come back to visit, you always want to go to the places that remember and that reminds you of the taste of your home. I'm so glad Cook-Out does that for me, and that they never switch up or change the food. It stays and tastes the same wherever I get it in NC, and I love that! Thank you to the staff at this one for making my visit to New Bern, NC pleasant, and for reminding me of why this restaurant chain is a staple in NC! Keep up the great work and pumping out great food!

Really good food, nice people , and cheap.

Cheap nuggets. Perfect for kids and family. Christian atmosphere. Awesome. This is great food at a bargain. Kudos Cookout. Job well done. Did I mention the milkshakes?

Honestly "the best combo in New Bern." So many options to please all tastes!

Thank goodness I don't live anywhere near a Cook Out, because I would come here ALL.THE.TIME and clog my arteries with sweet grease. Cook Out is a fast foodie's dream. College students love this place for their $4.99 combo in which you choose 1 main (burger, hot dogs, quesadilla, chicken strips, etc.), 2 sides (onion rings, hushpuppies, slaw, chicken nuggets, etc.), and a beverage. That's enough food for 2 people at only 5 dollars. It's insane. I ordered the combo with a hamburger, fries, hushpuppies, and a Coke float. I didn't realize until I looked at the receipt that cheese on the burger costs extra. Employees should tweak their speech to say, "Do you want to add cheese for 50 cents more?" instead of just asking if you want cheese. The fries were great, and the hushpuppies were delicious, sweeter than normal just the way I like. I like the option of adding a float as a drink because it's like getting ice cream with your meal. It was good, but a little chunky?...yeah. This location offers a lot of seating including booths and tables with chairs. They play Christian music. Overall great place to grab some unhealthy food.

They need to improve not forgetting sauce, not disrespecting customers, not having an attitude pushing 70.

Messy, but tasty. Shakes in nearly every flavor imaginable. Won't break the bank. The trays are the way to go.

Me and my dad were stopping in Washington, NC, to grab a hot dog before arriving at Goose Creek State Park to camp over the weekend. We heard about Bill's Hot Dog Stand on North Carolina Weekend PBS, but that was 100% outdated. This place just down right sucks. Walking in there was a line in the small establishment shaped like a horseshoe, so we believed it to be good. People were also ordering about 20 of them. How? I don't know. The 3 women behind the counter were rude. 1 was going painfully slow at taking hot dogs out of the boiler, the 2nd had an attitude about putting some chili (slop), mustard, and onions on a hot dog, and the 3rd practically was yelling in everyone's face at the register. When it was finally our turn, my dad ordered a hot dog with chili and mustard, and the individual said "So no onions?" Lady, they're the same thing. The chili was discolored (brown) and was practically paste. I don't know how you call that chili. When we ate our hot dogs, they were just downright gross. They both had a weird taste, and the chili was overly spicy and just gross tasting. The tea was so overpoweringly sweet (and I like SWEET tea), and customer service was just horrible. Do not come here. Just don't do it. Want a GOOD hot dog? Head to Hap's in Salisbury.

Unfortunately, someone got sick right in front of us at the picnic tables, and the area wasn't cleaned or rinsed down. I understand unexpected situations happen, and I'm not entirely sure what the proper response process is, but the smell and overall situation completely ruined my appetite. It did make me question how well the outdoor seating areas are maintained during busy times.

I'm always impressed by a standalone hot dog place. When I finally arrived to the location, I was shocked at how big the building was. And, for a Sunday mid afternoon, there were so many cars there! Some families were dining inside, some outside on the picnic tables, and many Just sitting and eating in their cars. My kind of place! Very casual and low-key. I went inside and ordered three hotdogs. Two for myself and one for my own dog who came with me. His hot dog was playing. Mine came with chili and slaw on one and Paul's famous relish on another. I also ordered a side of fries and a fountain drink. I was shocked when they told me my order total was less than $12. My food was bagged up for me ready to go before I even handed them my card. Food was good. Nothing out of this world. Definitely not a gourmet hotdog. The hotdogs are boiled and soft, not grilled. Overall, my impressions are that this is a staple in Rocky Point. A great stop for a quick and cheap meal. Cute. FYI - They also seemed to have other sandwich items like chips, grilled cheese, ham, sandwich, etc.
