This was a poppin' place for lunch! I wanted something different than the usual Wendy's or Chick-fil-a and decided to go with cookout. I got a regular cheddar style burger, white cheddar nuggets (aka cheese curds) and a large Coke Zero. I was hoping the cheese curds were a larger portion so that was disappointing. Otherwise everything was great.

I was pleasantly surprised with the chicken tenders tray. The tenders were large and very crispy. Both the french fries and cheese curds were fresh and piping hot! The bacon cheeseburger tray was just as fresh and cooked very well. Cheerwine is always our drink of choice when we visit.

Updated menu

Good amount of food for a low price. Great spot for late night munchies. Don't sleep on the shakes!

Ordered and was charged for slaw on hotdogs but didn't get any.

Food is good and the cookout tray is a great deal. The cashiers though always seem to have an attitude.

I had the Carolina Slaw Dog and by the time I took one bite, the entire soggy bun had fallen apart and I had cole slaw and mustard down the front of my shirt. I went with the Combo ($8) and the fries were so cold. I probably should have know they would be cold as she gave me my order less than 5 minutes after I placed it and there was no way those were going to be hot fresh fries. I also had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Dog ($7). The Jerk Sauce was cold as if someone had just taken it out the refrigerator and squirted it on the dog. I threw the entire thing away after one bite. There was three young ladies working the afternoon I went in, and they were way more interested in chatting amongst themselves than they were in paying attention to the three paying customers they had in the restaurant. I mean I know it doesn't take much energy to sell hot dogs, but from the time I went in to the time I left, they spent the biggest majority of the time comparing vacation plans and talking about the cleaning lady that had popped up to view the property. Save yourself $20 and go buy hot dogs from the grocery store and prepare them at home.

There's so many varieties of dogs here - all beef, chicken, brisket, corn dogs and even plant-based vegetarian options. This isn't the spot to be healthy but for some good junk food. Service was mid. The cashier didn't greet us or ask if we had questions about the menu. Instead the first thing she said was - it'll be a 10 minute wait. It wasn't clear why she said that - the time to cook or fry my food? Before you can take my order? What's 10 minutes in the big picture when I'm in a food hall and could easily walk away. We stayed and took our buzzer that alerts you when the order is up. I informed the cook - don't say anything about 10 minutes to wait, just take the order. It's not welcoming and everyone knows food needs to be prepared. Aside from that, we had a great visit and enjoyed the food.

The service has always been top-tier, fast, rapid, and correct with my order every single time. There is never a wrong order being placed or picked up; the ambiance is a medium for me because of where it is located (inside of a farmer's market) so it's like you are shopping for food but don't want to leave so you try a corndog and get instantly addicted or your taste buds are satisified for the time being until you officially get something to eat. Mr. Cow also has repeated videos of other customers from different other states and different ethnicities feasting upon their products as well flashing their IG so they can be tagged and explored by others as well gaining a following.

Good balance of sweet & savory: my favorites are the Yam Yam Churros (sweet potato fries with cinnamon sugar), Messy Kinako (condensed milk with sprinkled Kinako-Roast yellow bean powder), and Flaming Cheetah (classic with hot Cheetos). I usually get whole hot dog (although they do have mozzarella and cheddar as filling options for cheese lovers).
